The morning surprisingly was not as hot as the night before, the air cooled by the darkness and waiting for the sun's warmth once more. A gray form shifted lightly in the shadows, his maw opening with a slow drawl as gleaming fangs caught the morning light before two sharp red eyes snapped to attention. Amri indeed had fallen into his darkness, and not a moment after the dark half took control.
Standing slowly, the leopard stretched his back out, claws extended and dragging against the dirt before his eyes searched the area.
"The fool...thinking he can keep me at bay by just leav-" All at once, he stopped as a delicous scent caught his noes, and he turned his eyes on the form of the other, the form of the female.
"Idiot."

And that female, a little lioness called Nyota, was still asleep, ignorant to the world around her. Normally she slept lightly, ready to flee at a hearts notice, but the talk with Amri had dulled her senses. She had felt comfortable, and never would of dreamed that anything bad would of happened.
To a point.
Her tail swished against her side, swapping at the flies that would harass her in the morning. She shifted in her sleep, but still did not awaken. Perhaps on top of being comfortable with Amri, she had stayed up for a bit too long, and her slumber was just too deepto easily awaken.

Smirking at the oppertunity presented before him, Mafujo strolled closer to the lioness, his head lowering into a prowl. She was his size, clearly weak from her travels, and ripe for the picking, he just had to go about it in the right way. Pausing a few steps, his nose sniffed lightly before he licked his lips, and called out softly.
"My darling, my sweet," he purred out deeply, moving closer still, "Slumber any longer, and I might just have to give in to the temptation at hand..." Eyes darkening, he skimmed over her form and admired her markings before reaching a paw out to brush her pelt.
A shiver running up his spine, he just pulled back and chuckled darkly, wondering if she would awaken or let him go on.

Nyota stirred softly, the voice gently pulling her out of her slumber. She stretched herself out, giving a large yawn before opening her dustrose-coloured eyes. She noticed that Amri had awaken...but his eyes and body language was much different then last night.
"Amri...?"
Her nerves twinged up at the moment that her mind recalled the chuckle that she had heard when her mind had begun to awaken. This...seemed very strange. She backed up into a sitting position, more defensive then a moment ago.

"Amri?" His brow raised as he eyed her form, clearly noting her fear as a dark smirk rose across his maw once more, "That fool is asleep...he is always asleep...clueless as always..."
As she moved back, he moved forward, keeping the distance close as his eyes contined to stare into hers. The color was deep red, bloodthirsty while all of the pink was gone. No longer was he the calm, poliet order, now he became chaos. As she sat down, he moved to pad past her, his tail curling to brush across her side while he let out a deep purr.
"He does have taste, I will give him that..."

"Asleep? W-what do you mean be that?" the lioness jumbled out. Just what was going on, and why was he...so close to her? Was everything that he did last night a façade?
No, it couldn't be. His manner of speaking was different, and a piece of her told her that he wasn't the same....not quite.
She flinched as his tail brushed against her body. Her nerves were starting to go wild, and it took all of her will to not let her lose herself in anxiety. No, she had to be strong. For this leopard was in much better shape then she, and she would probably be unable to run from him, if she attempted to.

"I mean that he isn't currently...in control, if you must," He was unsure how to put it any other way, and just shruged it off and put the issue behind him. Unlike his other half, he was not one to dwell, and he expected others to just accept what he said. Stilling his advances, he turned back and watched her form, missing the flich luckily for her.
"Most like to call me Mafujo...it fits nice in my opinion...but really, I would rather talk about you," His dark eyes curling up her spine, he grew tired of looking, and moved back to in front where he could look at her eyes, a very nice feature in his opinion, almost as nice as his strange color.
"Tell me, what do you see in that fool Amri?"

"Control?" It was hard to believe for Nyota that this Mafujo, if you will, was in 'control' of Amri's body. So...was this a possession? Or merely a state of a split personality? It was hard for Nyota to tell, as she had never come across one such as this, only heard in old wives tales.
Her unkempt fur felt even more ugly as his crimon-red eyes scanned over her. She felt very self-conscious, very quickly, and she didn't much like it. Why did he look at her like that?
"S-see in him? I...don't think I know what you mean but..." she grasped at the words to use. She was trying to pick her words carefully, cautiously. "He was quite kind to me last night..."

He just blinked at her, starring as she finished her words about Amri, the fool. Before long, his eyes narrowed lightly in thought, before suddenly a deep, rich laughter left his maw.
"Kind!" He cackled a second, before containing himself and clearing his throat, "Kindness will not get you far, my dear. It will not keep you alive, keep you happy, or give you pleasure. Kindness is nothing but a fool's sheild that is easy to break." And with that, he moved to her side and nudged her.
"Walk with me, I am in no mood for a chase, and maybe if we find the perfect spot, I can show you just how much Amri is lacking with only his kindness..." The last part was said with a rich purr, his eyes darkening even moreso than before.

The lioness lowered her head, feeling more frightened and embarassed by the moment. Why was he all up in her face? He didn't even know her...this...side didn't, anyway. Couldn't he just leave her alone? She wanted to talk with Amri, not this...Mafujo.
She wanted to retort, wanting to say that kindness could get you places, but she knew it would be useless. The words she'd say against him would crash and shatter on some barrier in this Mafujo's heart, and she didn't want to bother putting the effort into it. That effort and energy should be saved for something else, something that she might need to prepare herself for.
"...alright" she said cautiously. Might as well play along for a bit, perhaps Amri might just wriggle his way back into control. If that's how it went, anyway.

At her answer, he seemed to preen, his smirk falling into a very pleased grin. Shifting away just a step, he waited for her to get up and move on, but soon enough just pushed her as she stood. Unable to contain himself, he moved close so their sides brushed and let out a soft purr.
"Don't worry...when I see something I like, I don't intent to hurt them...much..." His laugh breaking through, he looked around the new area with a frown before glancing back to the female.
"Tell me, is there anything interesting around here? Usually I would take a female to the waterfall and crystal lake in the jungle...but we aren't too close anymore thanks to Amri..."

Nyota looked around herself gingerly, and looked back over to Mafujo. Well, maybe she didn't need to be so defensive around him. He wasn't bigger then her, they were close to the same size, and though he was probably stronger then her, she knew these lands. So if anything happened....
Her ears swiveled around her head when hearing about other females. For reasons unknown to her, she got frusterated at hearing that. Would she just be tacked onto that list? Something that the lioness didn't like at all. She gave a little huff of indifference, deciding not to help the frivilous leopard much.
"I don't know. There is a watering hole around, but unless you have an open mind, you won't much like what's here." She said with a little trace of venom in her voice. Like hell he's actually enjoy the places she liked to go to. On top of a hill, over looking what others were doing. Curled up under a tree during the mid-day heat, dozing off the worst time of the day.
Nope, she'd keep that to herself. And maybe Amri.

As she grew steady he just smiled darkly to himself, finding it easier around the female lioness and actually beliving that he would get some come the end of the day. Paws padding a little lighter, he just looked ahead with deep red eyes of satisfaction and lust, before she snapped at him and he looked to her with indiffeneced as well.
"There is no need to be a stiff, I will treat you just find, so don't worry, darling," He said softly, mistaking her venom for slight tentative opinions on his desires, "Beside...my mind is always open for new and unique opertunities when they arise before me..."
Smirking at that, he moved closer still so his shoulder touched hers, before letting out another throaty purr.
"You really need to relax darling, I said it before, I wasn't going to kill or hunt you, so take it as an honor."

She swished her tail with irritation, but didn't speak a word. Perhaps he thought he was treating her with kindness, but she felt as if she was trapped into whatever web he was spinning. Fighting it seemed useless to her, though, so she didn't bother trying to snap back at him again.
"Relaxing is much easier said then done, Mafujo." She said matter-of-factly. She hated how he called her darling, it sent a little shiver up her spine. "but perhaps you could show me how?" she said with a smirk. Send a little of what he gave to her back at him.

Brows raising suddenly, he turned to look back upon her and blinked once. She changed personalities so fast that he couldn't believe it, though he wasn't one to talk at all.
It was the devious smirk that crossed his maw that might have gotten to her, or the words that shifted from his maw, "Indeed, well though I don't usually insist meeting female lionesses, I guess I can make an exception." With that, he moved to naw on her ear, tugging lightly back to where they started.
"Your 'den' will do, for now that is, a very nice place to...get to know eachother and relax with eachother..." Smirking once more, he tugged a bit harder, not showing any care if he was piercing her pelt or not.
