Fyrn wags his tail excitedly, but ducks behind Naraka, as shy as he is excited. His tail tucks between his legs briefly as he looks up at the door.

*Naraka wanders in, leading Fyrn behind him, looking around at the house* Yes, hello D. I was hoping you wouldn't mind a visit from us. How have you been? What've you been up to?

"Good good, you? And how about you Fyrn? I heard you weren't feeling the best? Would you like something to drink or eat?" She bends down a bit to address the shorter being. Normally she wouldn't mention food around Nar, sensitive to the fact he couldn't eat himself, but since Fyrn was here, well she'd do her best to make sure he was ok.

"I've just been reading to Sid, got to work on his speech and well, I try to do quiet activities with him in the evening."

At which point the reptile in question, appeared in the doorway to the lounge. He'd gotten tried of waiting and all the voices had made him curious as to who was there.

*Seeing Fyrn busying himself, he pulls D aside for a moment and whispers* Listen, D.... I knew you wouldn't mind if I brought him, but I want to ask something of you. Fyrn doesn't get to talk to people much. He's frightened of them.... And he hasn't really got any female influences around. *he stops to peer over her shoulder to see what he's at before going on* I don't want you to feel like he's your responsibility just because he's mine. But could you possibley talk to him for a while? I don't know, just talk, or maybe do something with him. I'm a terrible parent; I don't know what it's like to be alive anymore, let alone a child. Please?

D steps aside to listen to Nar. "Oh, I... ah ok." She gives a nod. "But talk about what? I don't know what he likes?" She wasn't too sure about children either, well it was different when you're a child, but she tries to think back to her own childhood. Hmm... well, she wouldn't get Fyrn to help make beds with her that was for sure.
Looking down at the child in surprise as he suddenly reappeared behind Nar's legs. Whatever the vampire said about being a bad parent, Fyrn obvisously trusted him and looked up to him.

"Oh Fyrn, you ok?" She peered over and spotted Sidney. "That just Sid, he's a velevt like your squirrel. No need to worry about him."

"Esss" Sidney grins, showing off his own rows of small pointed teeth. Maybe not the most friendliest of smile, despite his attempt.
"I'm Ssidney. Who are you?"

(( Ah here we go, it's a poor description so if you want to know about anything else in detail just ask. ))

Inside the house it's hard to tell it used to be an inn except for a few clues. The room you step into has a large wooden table around which there are about 8 chairs. The kitchen in the far left corner is in an enclosed room with a small opening to pass meals through to the dinning area (a servery I think it's called). Diretly to your left is a staircase and there appears to be a lounge room through the open doorway on your right, with an unlit open fire. There's two couches in there with a small coffee table next to one. A large bookcase can also be seen.
The walls are all painted white and the ceiling overhead has exposed beams of some dark coloured wood. The odd painting and photo hangs on several of the walls. The floor downstairs appears to be made of slate slabs, with large rugs to make them appear more homely and warm.

*with Fyrn quite near, he simply says* I don't know. Anything will do.

*he turns to Fyrn, kneeling down and putting a hand on his head* Fyrn, you don't have to be afraid of Sid! He's a nice guy. *he leans in close and whispers* Just never call him dull.

D gives Nar a grin at that comment. "Hey why don't we go sit down in there eh Fyrn? It's alot more comfortable. And ah... I could go get some things for you to play with?" She looks a little helplessly at Fyrn. It was all very well Nar asking her to talk to him but well... she didn't think he wanted to talk back.

Sidney nodded his approval of Nar's description. He was a nice guy, even if he was a snake. "Ess! We could do puzssles or ssomething?" He asked Fyrn hopefully. Usually he would go off and do his own thing if someone was afraid of him... but the Fyrn had been brought around to his house so he'd make an effort.
