wow, this is awesome. so many questions!
okay, first question: "where can i learn about pro go players?" -ke-chan
its hard, b/c pros come from lots of different countries, there are many different ways. the first place to start is gobase, at
http://www.gobase.org/, they provide bios. on each pro. also, a lot of pros have their own websites, so if you wanna find a specific one, you can google, or find their link through go sites. it would probably be a good idea for me to make a link list.
second question: angel asked "how can i be 8d with one month training?"
uhh... wishful thinking angel, lol.
third question: ciph wanted to know about the titles that pros are playing for, their importance, etc. haha, there are so many titles in asia. in japan, the most famous are the kisei, meijin, and honinbo. kisei means go saint in japanese, and is the most important title. unfortunately, beyond japan, i don't know as much about the big titles, i focus more on studying the games played in them, hehe.
4th question: ciph also asked about scoring. most common ruleset is japanese scoring, where you count territory, and captured stones. each intersection is worth one point. chinese counts the actual stones on the board, territory, and doesn't count captured stones. ing scoring is just a pain.
thanks for the questions, please send more!
