Sai's...er...he was a difficult character for me.

Watch for spoilers. The thread already gave a warning, so I won't white anything out.

I really really really HATED Sai when he was first introduced. I couldn't stand how he acted, and though his insults to Naruto and Sakura were somewhat funny, I despised him for it. To me, he wasn't (and still isn't) anything like Sasuke, and the fact that Sai was REPLACING Sasuke really pissed me off.

And later, we find that he was starting to side with Orochimaru. That fueled my hatred for him even MORE. Every week I wished that he would just go away, or die. (I was literally out of my computer chair cheering when Sakura punched him, and when he was supposedly 'dead' and hung from a tree.) I ated him the MOST when Sakura was falling down from the bridge, and Sai doesn't even attempt to sve her; he gets on his drawn animal and just flies past her.

However, when Sai had that conversation with Naruto while they were looking for Sasuke, I had to think about it a little bit. I wanted to hate him still, but something in me liked him in that moment. When he found Sasuke, and learned that he wasn't going to assassinate him, but to help save him, I decided that I couldn't hate him anymore. Sai wasn't a replacement for Sasuke, and him trying to help get Sasuke back showed me that.

When they all got back to Konoha was when I TRUELY started to love Sai. The scene of him reading books on making friends was reall adorable in my opinion, and the fact that he wanted to help Team 7, and stay with their team was cute. xD The fact that he's so serious about trying to be a good friend, and ends up screwing it up (almost calling chouji fatty/fatass) is the best. He's so damn innocent when it comes to him as a person, but on the battlefield, his attacks are really, for lack of a better description, totally kick a** and awesome. Also, with him an an ANBU member, there's sure to be more power to him.

I hope that Sai continues to be the good guy, and if Sasuke comes back, I hope that Kishi finds a good place for him. I don't see him as one to replace Sasuke, but I also don't want him to be thrown to the side when Sasuke comes back.

And I'm looking foreward to lots of anymore hilarious and cute "'Sai Trys to be Social" scenes, as well as more SaiIno or SaiNaru. <3

Ahhh Sai.

Ahem. Well, Sai was something different for me. I was neutral to him. His insults made me laugh and just kind of stare in awe. Everytime he said something I was a bit in shock. Never hatefull. His character intrigued me. When he sided with Orochimaru more, I kind of figured though, it was a part of a plan. Sai is a very undecided person. And In my personal opinion, Emotionally Retarded, though that used to be my main tag for Sasuke, though I stopped being a Sasuke hater somewhat after Sasuke haters pissed me off. But, I think that Sasuke will never be replaced, Sakura and Naruto pretty much stated that from the begining.

Though Sai was an iritating person at first, his attept to learn feelings makes me laugh. A lot. I mean, his nicknames, please...I couldnt stop myself from laughing. I believe that when Sasuke comes back that Sai will probably return to ANBU and Sasuke will get his spot back. I truely believe that. And I hope Kishi does that.

I wonder, why does he have to keep his real name a secret? It's not like Naruto and Sakura are going to hunt him down and kill him. confused

Hm. Honestly, I didn't know what to think of Sai when he was first introduced. Part of me deduced that he/she just HAD to be female. I mean, yeah, the whole Deidara thing hit me in the face, but those lips on a guy? Get real.

Little did I know that Kishimoto purposely does this to his fans. mad D So I found out he was a guy. When he first encountered Naruto and Shikamaru I thought I was reading into their battle wrong. "p***s jokes? What..."

Eventually, I found out that he was indeed obsessed. As for his character, definitely amusing. It takes a lot for me to hate a character. Sai was a jerk, yes, but that's because his people skills were close to none.

Plus his p***s jokes added much needed humor. And how he called Sakura a hag. I admit though, I didn't like how he let Sakura fall off the bridge. Just one of the things that irked me. (Which is why I went back and read the chapter where Sakura socked his lights out and cheered.)

Overall, though, his character appeals to me because it's set off uniquely compared to the other characters. I like strange, especially strange personalities. (This also explains why I find Hidan amusing. heart )

Unlike you guys,when I first saw him I was like,"Wow..X3;;".
I thought he was very cool looking and especially dug his outfit and ninjutsu.<3
Anyways,I became happy when he was replacing Sasuke in team 7.
Seriously,I hope it's permanent because Sasuke isn't coming back.He's just some loser who's with Orochimaru.Sakura should just forget about him and move on.I mean I love the pairing Sai/Saku..It's possible.
When I first saw him,I also saw that he sorta resembled Sasuke in a way.
I also like how he progressed from an emotionless person to a person wanting to keep bonds between those who are special to him.His sketchbook of him and his brother was also cute.'

His jokes are hilarious and original..I also liked it when he called Sakura a "Hag".At least he's honest.XD!

Yes. That the thing that made me change my view of him. When he decided to forgot about his mission and bring Sasuke back for Naruto. That was just too sweet! >w<

He probably did at one point. But after his brother died that took its toll. And ROOT believes that emotions are pointless. Like when Sai left ROOT for team 7.
