So do we know who leaked quotes to be misconstrued out of our guild?
It makes me sad. I don't feel like I should go back to ED-POL.
Wouldnt it be funny if we never did? They would get bored so quickly, without anyone to yell at.

Kyoushi_HaraHara So do we know who leaked quotes to be misconstrued out of our guild? It makes me sad. I don't feel like I should go back to ED-POL. Wouldnt it be funny if we never did? They would get bored so quickly, without anyone to yell at. Don't know specifically outside of some former disgruntled members and lurking mules. I don't think you should let this intimidate you or any one else from participating in EDP. Why let them have the satisfaction of chasing people off? Don't let these twits define the paradigm. We are ascendent in power politically, why should we back down from them on an anime discussion forum? They might get bored but they would also get rather smug about it (the last thing their ego needs is more inflating). Us leaving would only make things easier for them. I say spite them and continue to make their existance in EDP a challange and a chore. I'm not going to let them off the hook so easy. We just need to use this an example of making sure we don't say things that can be used by others regardless of where we post it. I think its good advice to live by anyways.

I know I'm pretty new here and my opinion probably don't mean squat...
But the way I'm taught, I'm told that when someone throw a punch at you, pay them back ten-fold.
I think I'll spend more time in the politic subforum from now on.

I don't want to catch anyone hacking or encouraging hacking or any other violation of the rules or terms of service of Gaia. I've already removed one person for behavior which can be consitered violations of Gaia's rules and TOS. Pimpkilla, any more behavior like this and you are out of here. You have repeatedly gotten your accounts banned (I've lost track of the number of accounts you have had) and frankly it is embarrassing.

well, I dont really know who the spy is, nor do I really care. I've never really had anything I've needed to hide from anybody, and if they want to take any of my posts from here and slap them on some message board, thats fine with me.
And Pimpkilla2, even mentioning hacking is bad for your rep (and if you haven't noticed, Shem has already cought that post...along with accusing Kazuma of allowing it if I recall correctly, which hurts our rep)
Kazuma, I'd like to make a suggestion, though I really hate the Idea, because it would be limiting who joins or not, but I suggest an essay much like the liberals guild. That should eliminate some of the less reputable people from being allowed in (once again, I hate the idea of limiting things such as membership to this guild, but I see it as one way to dissolve the problem) Also, I'd advise getting rid of those who are relentlessly insulting, or at least at this point warn them that they will be banned if they incite another incident of this nature. Thurdly, that the staff starts deleting things of offencive nature when and if they do occur, since if we do that, quite apperently, they'll have no problem.
That is, if you want to be seen as semi-respectible in their eyes...if that is at all possible...though I know some don't really care to.

I didn't really mind that someone quoted my posts, I never really felt like hiding them. If someone wanted to read my opinions, they have only to join the right thread. My only problem with what happened, a pet peeve really, is that no one PMed me to inform me that my post was being used or debated (I explained it more in depth to Kazuma lol). In fact, if I was on Warcraft for another day or so, I'd probably have never spotted it in ED-P. I hate to wax nostalgic, but when I first joined Gaia, there was more one-on-one communication between users, and if someone felt the need to post someone else's posts they only needed to ask.
But anyway, my point is that I never really posted here with the idea that my posts were some sacred secret, not to be seen outide smoke-filled rooms. And for some posts, like my opinion of illegal immigration, there is not really a difference between my posts in guild and on ED-P.

As a matter of fact I think it should be implemented as soon as possible. An essay on conservatism? Simple. I was quoted twice. They really failed misreably in making me look stupid with the use of my quotes. The ED-P is a wonderous place isn't rolleyes

I support the idea of some kind of entrance requirement....I know that isn't originally what Razak wanted, but we do have quite the issue with mules and so on. Kazuma, what say you?

If you all as a guild would like to have one I would support it. I have no complaints and I think it could be a positve thing. I would be curious to see what sort of suggestions and ideas the members of the guild have to formulating one. This will probably not eliminate the mule problem though. They will simply write more elaborate join requests to get in. Nor will it get rid of the ones that are already here. I think the issue of mules in the guild is just something we are going to have to learn to live with.

But it would get folks thinking about their reasons for joining. Could be interesting...
