Writing Contest
exclaim Calling All Judges!
I would like for all judges to read all entries and decide what you would like your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices to be.
If you have decided, you may post your choices here or PM them to me if you would rather. Please be clear about which story you would like for first place, second place, and third place. If there's anything else that you feel needs to be said (concerning whatever), speak now or forever hold your peace. wink
If our initial votes can't choose a winner, I'd like to hold a discussion about it.

Well, I can't do anything now crying
But after the Gaian dust settles, I was thinking of doing something like someone would pay the guild account 150g and receive a book (color of their choice) in return. Since I believe books cost around 600g, that'd be a pretty good deal.

ok, well since we're a reading guild, I suggest the Theme be 'Anything'. fact, fiction, fantasy, Sci-fi, etc. we love to read dont we? ^^
I ran a story contest back a year ago on gaia (on a different name) and I really advise that the length be no more then 3-5 pages because some people will submit sagas sweatdrop xd
As for the gold, I'd say, Charge 350gold and Have 25 contestants. (5 judges Chosen by Fairgrass our guild leader.^^) We'll get 8750gold from it. First place gets 3000, second place gets 2000, and third place gets 1000. that'll leave us with 2750 to buy books.
If we were to charge 500gold per entry, and have 20 contestants, We'll get 10,000gold. Do the same with prizes, and that leaves us 4000 with which to buy books. 3nodding

That sounds great to me. I'd sooner go with 350g than 500, just to entice more Gaians. 2750 will get us roughly three books, but 4000 would only get us another one (I think . . . sweatdrop ). The IRTIA guild account has 3653g, so we could dip into that as well, if it's okay with you all.

What time is good for you, Fantasy? If you're going to be a judge, then you have a say in the time. wink
