 Temporarily closed due to internet issues (ignore this message)You walk down a long corridor and you arrive at a dark wooden door. You try and pull it open but to no avail. You then hear a loud voice yell "Push the door to open it!" You push the door and it slides open. You walk a few steps into the room, and gasp. The walls are covered with pieces of parchment that seem to have ancient spells written on them. Old books are scattered all over, on the chairs, tables, even the floor. You wonder who could have yelled to you, when you notice a lone person at a table, reading a book with a huge bubbling cauldron on the left end of the table. You notice the person is a female, wearing clothing you have never seen before, she curses at the book then looks up at you.  Welcome to The Research Room, The Tome Keeper needs some help with her spells, perhaps if you help her gather some missing ingredients she will reward you with Doubloons. If the spell is sucessful, she will put the product up for sale in the Merchant Post.
To get a task, just post here as your Pirate, it doesn't matter where your pirate is within the RP.
Each task will start with The Tome Keeper giving your pirate a riddle.
Once you believe you know the answer, post here again with your answer. If you're right The Tome Keeper will ten tell you to go retrieve the ingredient. (You may also ask for hints if you're not sure)
Next, sent a trade with the item to The Tome Keeper, remember to title the trade "Tome Keeper Quest - [PIRATE'S NAME]" (Put your pirate's name in the [PIRATE'S NAME] spot)
Your reward will vary, but it will be worth more than what the item was worth when the task was assigned.
No, we will not ask for a Halo, or any super-expensive item.
Before you can get another task, you have to complete the one you have already been assigned or the quest must expire by item's value.
All standard RP, and Guild rules will still apply.
Note: If you could, please RP your character returning and handing over the ingredients after the trade is completed ^_^

The woman grabs a small piece of parchment and writes down something from her book as she grumbles at the boy for no apparent reason. "Take this, hopefully you can figure it out and bring me what I need..." She hands the parchment to Tracey. "If you can gather the ingredients, I will give you some Doubloons for your troubles." The note Reads: The King of Yellow Butterflies,
The King of Yellow Butterflies,
The King of Yellow Butterflies,
Now orders forth his men.
He says "The time is almost here
When violets bloom again."

IC: Galley shoves the door open with a frown, feeling hot faced with embarassment at having tried to open the door incorrectly. "I understand you needed some help?" She demands, trying to hide her embarassed blush.

The woman was amazed to see another person so quickly, she reads down the spell and picks an ingredient she didn't have any of. She grabs a piece of parchment and writes the words from the book down. "Here, gather these ingredients and I will reward you with some Doubloons," she hands the parchment to Gally. The note reads: 30 hopping insects, as green as the grass. Perhaps it ment 30 Grasshoppers? ( This task is for Gally Kassidy only 3nodding )

Rabbit shrugs mutely as though to likewise ask for a task, though a faint wry smile catches the edge of his mouth, suspecting Jonathan would probably enjoy far less keeping the company of an Mer-Woman...though thats not something he's here to philosophise about.

Tracey felt really ridiculous, here he was, with a bouquet of purple daises in one hand and a butterfly net full of yellow butterflies. Some old lady even told him that flowers were more romantic to give to his "sweetheart". He was irked that anyone assumed he had a sweetheart. Even a few guys gave him odd looks. They called him a fairy because he had to leap to catch the butterflies. So be it, it didn't matter, they were worthless waists of air anyway. His tasks were done, thats what mattered.
Now all he had to do was give these over, and see if he could get another task.

The woman looks at Avelop, even if she didn't know his name, and smiles. "It's nice to see people taking intrest in helping someone out!" She scrolls through the book again, and as she has done many times in the past, grabs a piece of parchment and writes something down on it. "Hopefully you can gather this for me," the woman smiles again, handing the boy the piece of parchment. She then goes back to her book noticing there were others that were offering their services. The note reads: Stars made of paper,
To be placed on your head,
When used in battle they are tough,
So hide inside your bed.
Are you able to find one set of Newsprint Stars?

Noticing the man in the Navy uniform, the woman was almost ready to bash him with her spellbook, but something seemed off by the man. His spirit didn't seem to be of any harm to her, so she was willing to give him a task. She flips through the book and finds another ingredient. "Ah, here we go," she grins and grabs another piece of parchment. She writes down the ingredient, then hands the note to the man, "I hope you don't have any troubles with this task." The note reads: Scales of a fire breathing lizard are what you seek. The scales must be fresh, right off the lizard's body.
This might be hard, but could you get a Live Dragon? The reward for the rare dragon scales will be great!

"Another person, oh joy!" The woman was very happy to have many people willing to help her, the spell should be finished quickly thanks to their efforts! She flips through the pages, and writes down another ingredient on a piece of parchment. She walks over to the man with what appeared to be a scar on his neck, roughly covered with a scarf. "Here, you go lad." She hands him the note and goes back to her book. The note reads: 3 bottles of liquid produced by black insects, usually used to write on parchment.
Gather 3 bottles of Black Ink?
