The Pridelands had never felt so good against his paws, a strong reminder of just where he had placed his home in his heart. Ta'Ziyan had a few days to relax, keeping at Kami's side and trying his hardest to make her happy and just enjoy their time together. It was his little promise to himself, to always make her happy even if she turned away and fled to another. As long as she was happy, Ta'Ziyan was happy as well.

Spending the first time away from her, he padded down to the watering hole, convinced of his plans to that day. Kami always spoke of her journies, and those she met, so maybe it was time he met his family as well. He always shyed away, never spoke to anyone, so it was about time he got to know the pride. With that in mind (as well as the soft whisper of him needing their trust incase he did win Kami's heart) Ta moved down the path and watched as the rippling waters came in view. Pausing a moment, he took a deep breath, hoping at least whoever he met would be nice, would be friendly and welcoming in the moments to come.

Beyond the reeds Adanna was splashing through the water, soaking her orange and white coat. Her nose was wrinkled slightly in frustration as she swiped a clawed paw at the fish darting around in the water. The scaled creatures didn't even seem to care, beyond getting out of the way. She was no threat to them with her clusmy movements and complete lack of tact. But she didn't seem discouraged, even if she wasn't getting anywhere. She glared at the water and tried again, completely oblivious to Ta'Ziyan's arrival.

Jini was perched on a rock not far away, watching his mother with a sheepish, worried frown. He had no idea why she was trying to catch a fish-she had never really shown any interest in eating them. And she sure wasn't getting anywhere with it. His ears perked suddenly and he saw a strange lion coming over. He blinked, glancing at his fiesty mother, "Uh...mom...someone's coming!"

It was the soft voice that caught Ta'Ziyan's attention, and he realized there were others ahead in the waters. The splashing was obviously and adult, and yet the voice was a youth, and clearly the male he skimmed across not a second later.

A young lion, he appeared past his cub-hood and traveling towards his adolescense, a memory of Ta's past flashing around the orange pelt. Coughing, he just moved closer and bowed his head in a sign of not coming to harm, unable to see Adanna just yet.

"Hello there!" he called from the shore, a half smile across his maw.

"Eh?" Adanna grumbled sharply, lifting her head slightly to cast a sharp glance at her son. It was more of a skeptical look then anything else, but nothing could hide the energy and fire in her warm gaze. She didn't try to mask it. Wading through the water with purpose she moved over to the bank to catch sight of Ta'Ziyan. For a moment she look at him with the same puzzled look she had given her son. Then it shifted, breaking into a wide grin and a knowing look in her eyes. "Ohhh~! It's you. Hey....been a while, hasn't it?" she spoke with familiarity, like she had only seen him yesterday. Though really she hadn't seen the male since she had been pregnant...and before that it hadn't been since childhood.

Jini nodded his head mutely at the strange adult, feeling a little people-shy at the moment. But seeing his mother become so casual with him made him relax a little. Despite his mom's wild nature, he could normally trust her judgement on others.

His eyes finally catching sight of Adanna, he gave his own small, rougish grin, before padding closer and giving a slow nod.

"Yes, it does feel like forever since I last came around, and we last met well before I took a break from these lands," Not going into wide detail about the whole issue with him running off, he instead shifted his focus to the male son, and smiled softer to him, "Is this your son? The one you were expecting during our last encounter?"

He studied the boy for a second, before noting the similar pelt colors and grinning slightly towards Adanna, "He resembles you greatly."

"Yep," Adanna grinned, casting Jini an affectionate glance, from which he quickly ducked his head. She looked back at her old 'friend' with a nod, "I have a daughter too." She said it casually, but there was a feeling of pride within the words. She tilted her head slightly to one side, showing obvious curioustiy. "So what have you been up to lately?" she questioned, "I wasn't even sure you were still here, honestly...but then, it's hard to see everyone living here. There are so many of us."

He chuckled softly at the reaction of the boy, before hearing the question that came from Adanna's lips. Looking to his paws at that, he sighed softly before padding closer so he would not have to speak so loudly.

"In all truths, I have only just returned to the lands, on the bidding of Princess Kamilika of course," He was unsure if he should use the nick-name, but still continued, "She brought me back from my darkness, and once again redeemed my light. And so here I am, working my heardest to right things once more and make a few more friends along the way. You could say I am introducing myself to the pride at last. Should have done it months ago."

Despite the seriousness he spoke of, Ada treated the conversation casually, casting away any tension. She didn't like being formal or worrying about things that couldn't be helped. It was a waste of good energy. Apparently her straightforward nature hadn't vanished from her youth, "Well, better late then never right? And I don't blame you for putting it off...meeting soooooo many people. Goodness. I wonder if you can find them all?" Her last bit was a slight tease and a grin spread on her face, lifting her whiskers.

His copper eyes snapped to attention at her first part of words, before he realized just how friendly she was being. He was uncertin at first if she was teasing him, but as her sentences went on he just slowly broke into his own grin. It seemed easy when the person he spoke to was someone so nice and easygoing.

"It might take awhile, but in the end I am sure I will meet with everyone. Sooner or later, I am bound to run into a new face and make new friends," Grinning, he added, "I mean look, already I am meeting new members of the pride..." With that, he shot a meaningful glance to Jini, "Man, look at the future of these lands, so many cubs!"

"Tell me about it!" Adanna said with a shake of her head, "Everyone's popping out babies! Even I did and trust me that wasn't exactly in my life plan." Despite how she talked of having kids, it wasn't serious. She had a habit of talking like that, bluntly but in a teasing way. Sure, having Jini and Mosi hadn't been on purpose but she did love them. She gave him a sly grin, "I bet you're girl'll be popping out babies eventually too!" It was an affectionate joke between friends, but a joke none the less.

Had he not been covered in a fine layer of copper fur, she would have seen her joke hit the mark. All at once heat rushed his face and he got quite nervous, a sort of laugh cholking out before he quickly shook his head.

"Kami? No, no, we aren't planning on having - we're just friends!" He argued, having not thought of such a thing ever in his life. But suddenly the thoughts brushed through his mind and he pictured her by his side, watching their cubs floursh in the lands. Shaking his head suddenly and flattening his ears, he just sent a less than harsh glare towards her.

"We are just friends, that's all..." But even than, his argument was soft and it was clear he strongly wished they were more.

Adanna rolled her eyes, "It's written all over your face." Her tone was matter-of-fact and teasing. She moved to settle down on her belly, her tail flicking to the side. She pressed her cheek against one of her paws as she looked at him, "Honestly, you guys always freak out about telling us. She probably feels exactly the same. Just go for it. Better to try and have the chance of getting something then letting life pass you by and some other guy taking her cause you never bucked up and talked to her."

Jini crawled towards his mother from where he had been observing. He nudged his head against his mother, hiding his face in her fur, "Mom...you shouldn't be so mean..."

"I'm not mean, I'm serious," Adanna rolled her shoulders and tapped Jini with her paw affectionately.

He just stared at her with a slightly open maw, before shaking his head and grinning to Jini, "At least someone here supports me still!" Then, he too settled down and just relaxed a moment in the sun.

"It has been forever since I've just enjoyed the sunlight next to this water hole..." It was a soft murmur, before he looked towards Adanna again with a serious expression.

"I'm taking my time, by the way...I know from all we've been through, no one will be able to take Kami from me...I just know it." A boyish grin lifted across his maw at that.

Adanna shrugged and shook her head, though she couldn't hide her grin, "If you're so certain then why wait? It probably would just make her more nervous, you waiting." She yawned, giving Jini's ear a playful tug, of which he squeeked and pulled away from, hiding himself under one of her paws. "Buuuut maybe that's just me. Just make sure not too wait too long...she might get tired."

He frowned slightly, before softly letting out another sigh, "We just aren't ready to start that part of our relationship yet...we still need to patch up a few things, and work out stuff together before we can think about expanding our relationship...but I'll keep your advice in mind..."

Standing slowly, he just smiled at the two, before nodding as well, "It is about time for me to continue my greetings to the rest of the pride, but hopefully we can talk like this more oftin, it is nice having a friend in the pride like you, Adanna."
