There was something uncomfortable about taking off work boots and then sticking one's feet back into them after relaxing for a while. Maybe it was the socks. Either way, Luna didn't like it.
Why even bother to tie them? She was just walking home. And besides, she'd had Elle for support if she fell over.
Oh. Right.
She hadn't even thought as she took Elle's hand in the clinic. One second, she was asking for her company, and the next, they were hand in hand and well on their way.
So... um. Damn. Even thinking was a challenge. What brought you to the clinic?

Elle's mind was very quiet, and yet it wasn't. It was like there were two areas of her head working, one area very peaceful and quiet. Like it was at night when she was in her element.
Luna's voice came through to Elle and she shrugged. "They wanted to look at the sunburn again, but I didn't need an appointment... they told me to just turn up so a nurse could check it out. It can wait. What about you?"

It's quiet, was the only answer Luna could give. The seats are good for sitting upside-down in.

Elle grinned at the idea of Luna hanging upside down in a GMFC chair. "They are probably more comfortable like that, I should try it."

Oh, come on! Elle had seen Luna like that, hadn't she? Luna grinned crookedly at her, the image of ELLE accomplishing such a feat. It was having a hell of a time computing.

Elle giggled too, and looked away around them. It was dark, shops were shut, they were all alone... so she bravely tried a small, "Did you get the presents?"

Ohh, yes! Luna immediately held up her left wrist, where the bracelet dangled and glittered in the moonlight. They were beautiful, Elle. I was going to write a letter when I got home.

I like writing them. Luna's arm dropped awkwardly to her side, and she reached back and began batting at the end of her braid. I'm... glad I don't bore you by writing too much.

What a sight they must've been, holding hands and fiddling with their respective "tails" with their free hands. It's very fulfilling. It was then she formally acknowledged the guardian hanging back. Jokeph and I like it a lot!
