Well the other night i had that experince twice in a row but i was still awake. I closed my eyes trying to sleep them i was imginaing my self walking off a sidewalk but i was still awake when i had the feeling i just fell back into my bed. The secound time it happened i dont know what i was doing

Ah, hah! This sounds like you unwittingly 'astral projected' - so no, you're not insane. xd
As for why it happened: well, astral projecting is a natural part of sleep. You can do this without sleeping - but usually have to meditate, get into focus and then throw yourself into the astral plane. Although, some people don't have to make as much effort with this, as they already have weakened the connections tying them to their body - not astral form - by sleeping, or they just naturally have loose connections. It sounds like you have loose connections with your body, by astral projecting frequently in your sleep. ^^
Did this help at all?
One more thing: was your body buzzing?

I know that feeling! It used to happen every night or every other night when I was still going to Primary school. I slept in the same room with my mom and my sister back then, due to heating problems. smile It doesn't happen to me in my room anymore... I used to think it was because I wanted to get away and in private when I was there, but I don't need to here.
I don't know what to tell you, but it never happened to me when I was sleeping. Not that I'd remember anyway. It always happened before, when I was just laying there completely awake. And yeah, you're body is completely comfortable untill all of a sudden you get the feeling you're falling or fell somewhere.
I didn't think much of it, it was just an annoyance since I was in the top bunk bed. *shivers*
Nowadays I just get the feeling of having an immense amount of pressure holding me down and my voice going mute... I can't scream. It goes away after a few seconds.
It probably is subconscious astral projection... Or maybe just your thougths or mind drifts far away and your body wants to snap you back to reality razz

It certainly -sounds- like astral projection. I think if you apply the methods to conscious AP to your situation, it makes sense. First you go into a trance-focusing on going to sleep, then you focus on someplace to go-your mind wanders while in your 'trance', and you should ultimately feel yourself leaving-your thoughts are not paying attention, and here is where I think is when your body twitches out like falling.
You've projected yourself somewhere without knowing it and you're not properly focusing on staying there so your body forces you back someplace safe, or where wandering thoughts can take place without losing yourself. I have no idea how to word this, but ultimately you snap out of your trance and go back 'home'. All in all I think your body is keeping you safe from yourself.
Maybe it's your guardian angel or familiar keeping you safe. Whether you have one or not, I'm of the personal belief everyone always has some sort of guide or protector all their life, and seeing you doing something your not aware you are doing and wanting to keep you safe, they reel you back.
I may be wrong on both accounts, but I think you should investigate this further. Perhaps you should ask your patron deity for insight too.
