I've only seen about 70% of this season but I catching up on that now. I believe this season only ran for a few episodes. There are a lot of good things about this part of the series. Improved animation, better production values, more use of new characters. But I also noticed that a lot of people seem to have problems with it, including me. Here are my complaints.
- Xanatos as a good guy. Although he is a cool character I do have to agree that he was much more interesting as a bad guy.
- Fox as a good guy. I just saw the "Broadway Goes to Hollywood" epsiode and throughout that entire episode she seemed like she was going to do something bad..but she didn't...because she's good now. She took some getting use to.
- Broadway and Angela. I'm all for them pairing Angela up with someone, but they never explained why she chose Broadway. I think there should have been an episode about this. Maybe there was one and I missed it but the whole thing litterally came out of nowhere for them.
- Excuse my spelling, but I had a problem with the Quarimen. (however you spell that) Their symbolism was way too obvious. They are clearly suppose to be the KKK of the series and it's also clear that they are always going to be there and nothing is ever going to get better.
In the end my biggest complaint is that the series just kind of cuts off. I mean there's really no hope for these Gargoyles in the end and nothing is resolved. I almost wish that the series had ended with the "Hunter's Moon" trilogy. Anyway those are my thoughts. What are yours.

I haven't seen much of the Goliath Chronicles. But the one thing that I remember the most is how much I hated whatever change they did to the animation - Eliza's red coat seemed way too different somehow on my TV. Like it was sinking in and popping out at the same time.

Season 3 is a touchy subject amongst the Garg fans I know. Greg, the creator, got booted and they pretty much re-wrote his plans for that season.
A lot of info on how it was supposed to go (and a crap-load more) can be found at the Ask Greg archives over at www.s8.org.

Yeah, it felt a bit different, but I liked it as a whole and the final episode was great. Thematically the show came full circle with them trusting the public and visa versa. heart

It just seemed as though something was missing from the show. It was like all the characters were there...but they weren't what they were...I much preferred the first to seasons to the mishap they called season three. Maybe they could try a remake and ignore the blunder which was the Chronicles...

The one thing i remember most about Goliath Chronicles was that the animation was sub-par compared to the first two seasons. There was something else about it that bothered me, but i can't remember for some reason. Captain Caffeine Yeah, it felt a bit different, but I liked it as a whole and the final episode was great. Thematically the show came full circle with them trusting the public and visa versa. heart i don't think i ever got to see the last episode. What ever did happen?

I saw that episode that everyone was talking about with Goliath turning human during the Goliath Chronicles. I noticed that the animation was a bit different and not really for the better. I noticed several errors and repeats in frames that were very obvious. In fact I noticed several errors. They mentioned that Angela and Bronx were not in the alternate world becuase Goliath had never been born. In this world I don't think any of them would be alive since the only reason they survived the raid is because Goliath conviced Hudson to go check out where the Vikings were hiding. Before he left he had sent Brooklyn, Lextington, Broadway, and Bronx into the basement because they were acting up. That's the only reason they weren't killed during the day. Plus Goliath's overall attitude in that episode just didn't seem right. He's always been the voice of reason and the one who always convinced the other Gargoyles that protecting the humans that feared them was the right thing to do. Now suddenly he doesn't see the point of it all? It just didn't make any sense. The one thing I really liked about the original series is the fact that they didn't make errors like these. This is aside from all of the animation errors I caught throught that season as well. This is just one more reason that I think that maybe it would have been best if this season was never made at all.

I like the idea of Angela and Broadway they make a cute couple, but how did it start. I mean they hardly ever talked or anything and then all of a suddenly they were kissing. Were did this come from.

Romuska Polo Ul Laputa Improved animation, better production values, more use of new characters. I actually thought the animation was not as clean and detailed as it was in the first two seasons. Quote: - Broadway and Angela. I'm all for them pairing Angela up with someone, but they never explained why she chose Broadway. I think there should have been an episode about this. Yeah. ^_^;; I guess I am just being biased because I like Brooklyn better, but I didn't ever hear Angela give an actual reason as to why she chose Broadway. There used to be a huge fan fic out there, created by a conglomerate of writers, that had Angela even falling for a human. I wish I could remember what it was called. That was the best group of fan-fic I have ever seen. >_> But now I am rambling...

As far as the Broadway/Angela hookup - I think there was probably some sort of connection made between them during the "Possession" episode (Oo... Another of my favorites...) when the three souls inside Coldstone possessed the bodies of Brooklyn, Angela, and Broadway. Having two longtime lovers controlling them for the period of time that they did had to have left something residual. They did share a kiss, after all. And neither of them were revolted about it, just a bit embarrassed.

Yes, that's probably where it started, when rewatching the season I closely kept an eye open to where it started, and here was the first time. Same happened with Lexington, he grew fond of the baby, remember? It may be that there were different persons in control, but it was the same brain that controlled and recorded the actions of the body, so subconciously Angela and Broadway might stil have a neurosynaptic pattern remaining from which the love started to develop. Actually it makes perfect sense. The creators probably did this episode because psychological development is something most people never even notice.

I haven't been able to see all of Season 3...though from what I have seen...I'm not a big fan...and I know Greg wasn't involved...
But, I did see the episode where Proteus excaped from New Olympia and was impersonating Goliath and Elisa at various times to screw with them. The animation for that once was done in Austrialia I believe and well...I love they're style, but they're a very "stretch and squish" type of studio, very good for more funny cartoony shows...but on Gargoyles it looked...odd. I had read a review by someone for this episode, and they swore there was a scene where Elisa had the eyes of Princess Jasmine, body of Pocahontas, and walk of Jessica Rabbit. When I watched it I saw the scene, and I busted up laughing b/c it was true.
