At the rate he's going, Ortiz would only hit 56 or 57 HRs (I love math). Same goes for Ryan Howard. I was hoping Pujols would do it, but his injury set him back just a bit.

I was hoping Pujols would do it, but his injury set him back just a bit. and yet Pujols remains one of the league leaders! the sports writers said before that injury, he was on pace to break Bonds´record. they said he could´ve hit like 80. surprised well, maybe next season...

no, you need to start out greatto have 60 HRs. you would need like 46 right now to even have a shot at maybe being within one of getting it

icedog123 no, you need to start out greatto have 60 HRs. you would need like 46 right now to even have a shot at maybe being within one of getting it that´s true, but players like Ortiz, Beltran, Pujols, and Howard are known for their performance in the last part of the season. personally, i´m fed up with 60-HR seasons, but this is a new crop of players who might continue to surprise me.

me, i don´t like 60 homers, it´s too many. Roger Maris was an exception, but Mac, Sosa and Bonds just made me feel sick when they did it in close years.
