Asi yawned as he lounged on a large boulder, close to the west watering hole. His tail was flicking uneasily and his gaze was troubled, on the sky. Everything was falling apart, slowly so that there was a chance to put it all together again.
He wanted Sye and Taabu to return. He wanted Uumi dead.
He wanted his son back! Why had Kenai gone with Taabu? It was killing Ari. Though she might have just been missing her oldest son, for that matter. Everything was growing lonely.
He wasn't aware that new females would be coming soon. Worse for Uumi that both would be arriving around the same time he and Sye would be back. Oh the king would throw a fit then.
He hadn't seen much of his family, though. He was a little surprised he'd become so dependant on them.

Tamu was out for another stroll, patrolling the lands yet at the same time letting himself relax. The lands had been particularly peaceful recently, and he had found it rather easy to just stroll about and let himself dream and wonder. And when he dreamed and wondered, he mostly dreamed and wondered about a certain female he had met not too long ago.
Smiling to himself, the to-be king came upon what seemed to be the west watering hole. He was distracted, however, and so it didn't really register in his mind. It didn't register that his father was nearby either.
Sighing blissfully, the male sauntered over to the water's edge, glancing down for a few moments at his relfection before he lowered his head and lapped up the cool water. Once his throat was no longer dry, he settled down on his haunches and just sat, sat and thought. He also wondered when he'd get to see that female again...

Asi could smell Tamu when he got close, and could tell something was different about the male. Just not what.
It seemed the boy's head was in the clouds, as he didn't seem to notice Asi. Asi grinned softly to himself, a bit of fun was in order. He rolled from his rock and started to pad softly toward his son.
With a powerful leap and a roar he launched himself at Tamu, careful to keep his claws hidden away so he wouldn't hurt the other. He was aiming to get him into the water.

Tamu really didn't know that his father was nearby until he heard a roar and suddenly felt himself being thrown into the water. Startled and not really knowing what was going on, he growled and twisted about, trying to throw his 'attacker' off of his back. Water splashed around as he wrestled and tussled. Yet after a minute or so of this, he realized that he didn't feel any claws.
"Wha..?" He stopped and craned his neck around awkwardly, managing to catch a glimpse of Asi. "Dad?" he called, rolling onto his paws and shaking out his mane. This water really irritated him.
Moving out of the water and back onto dry land, the heir grinned sheepishly. He really shouldn't let himself drift off so much like that. It was only his father this time, but next time... he probably wouldn't be so lucky unless he kept his wits about him and stayed alert.
"Heh, what are you doing out here, old man?" he asked, swatting gently and harmlessly at his father.

Asi had to control his laughing so he wouldn't accidentally choke on some water. But once he was free of Tamu and sitting up he let out a booming laugh, clearly he hadn't had so much fun in such a long time. "Aye, jus' thinkin' aboot stuff. An' was the daydreamer doin' out 'ere, eh?" He grinned at his son.
Being cheery with Tamu was a lot easier than mulling over his grandson and his youngest son.

Tamu shook out his mane--couldn't have an heir looking all messy--and grinned back at his father. Things had been rather silent and uneventful for him, and it was nice to have a little change of pace every now and then. It was even better that it had been his father who had pounced him like that. It was nice to see his father alive and well.
When Asi mentioned him being a daydreamer, his ears folded back in slight embarassment. "You saw that?" he asked, even though it was a stupid question. He was probably obvious when he daydreamed.
"Thinkin' about what?"

He sighed a little. Better to tell Tamu now rather than later, right? "Eh Kenai be missin', along with Taabu." He said slowly. "Sye is out lookin' fer 'em." Well he wouldn't even mention Uumi. Wouldn't it be his suprise they'd be returning with a fat Sye? He'd try and kill Uumi. Again.
"So wha' yeh be thinkin' aboot, seem ter be deep in thought." He smirked lightly.

Tamu glanced quickly over at his father when he said that Kenai and Taabu were missing, and that his sister was out looking for the two. It was obvious that he was out of the loop. Too many of his days were spent wandering around the borders, checking things out that probably didn't need that much checking.
"Oh.." was all he could say in response. But then his ears perked slightly as his father asked him what he was thinking about.
"Just things," he said, smiling that 'I-have-never-felt-this-way-before' kind of smile. He sighed happily as he rolled over onto his side and then his back, revealing his soft underbelly as his paws dangled in the air. It was amazing what a lioness could do to someone.

Asi blinked a little and nodded at his 'oh', not knowing what else to say. And then Tamu provided him with an idirect answer which honestly just evaided the question. Asi studied his son for a moment and then gave a booming laugh. Could it be, his heir finally in love? Or perhaps he was just this 'stupid-happy' over something else.. but Asi was doubtful.
Well for him, at least, not much could make him stupid-happy except for ari. So why shouldn't he assume it was the same type of thing for other lions? "Thin's, eh?" He said, trying to give himself a knowing air to see if Tamu would spill. But he couldn't contain himself. "An' wha' kinda thin' do she be?" He gave a devilish grin at this.

Tamu glanced quickly over at his father and blinked a few times as Asi began laughing. By the looks of it, he knew what was going on. But did he think it was funny as in stupid or...?
When the other lion asked a question directly about her, the heir frowned for a moment. He wasn't trying to hide it, but he wasn't sure if he should really be happy over this. He didn't know how the other lioness felt or anything, he only knew how he felt.
"Masuka," he said quietly, looking away for a moment before looking back at his father.
