Good reproduction of 60s-70s mixed with modern rock? Or losers trying to reap on the profits of other's musical ideas? I like their music, and they are skilled at the guitar. But lots of their songs sound very similar to some famous classic rock. For those of you who were hiding under a rock for the last year, here's a sample of their music.

I heard some stuff. I Wasnt too impressed. If i want Retro rock, i'll listen to GunBarrel, they're like a german Motorhead. Or some actual 70s rock.

What didn't you like about them? The things I don't like are that some of their songs get repeditive, and besides that, the fact that it's a carbon copy of some classic rock. But I appreciate what they're doing, they're not out to make tons of money.

I don't really like them, a lot of their stuff sounds exactly alike. Another reason I don't like them is because I was reading their guitar world interview, they said that guitarist like Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi, play guitar like they don't put any soul into it. WTF? Those guitarists are all awesome. They don't even stand a chance amongst guitarists like them. I mean, there okay, but you shouldn't diss other guitarists that are ten times better then you are.

Anyone who says Eddie Van Halen has no soul in his playing is a huge loser who knows NOTHING about guitar!

I read their interview and did not notice that. And they could suck much more than they do.

Well I guess I'll just post the part in the interview where they say that.

Cester: See, this is where you shouldn't print this' cause I'm gonna speak the truth-but ******** it, you should. When we grew up in Melbourne, in the era that we started getting into music, there'd be all tossers on the covers of guitar magazines- people like Yngwie Malmsteem. I'd just look at those wankers and say, "******** that." I don't want to learn how to tap a ******** million miles an hour. Its ******** bullshit. So that just made me go and listen to more Beatles and more Stones, 'cause I wanted to get as far away from that s**t as I possibly could. ******** that whole thing. And going into a guitar store was the most depressing thing in the world. You'd have some balding, jaded, pathetic a*****e in his thirties or forties behind the counter, all pissed off at the world because his musical career never took off, and his personal mission in life was to make you feel miserable because you couldn't ******** tap on the guitar [Muncey launches into an overly enthusiastic impression of an Eighties guitar star in full hammer-on mode. Everybody laughs.] See what I mean? Its ******** stupid. I'd be in the guitar store and see, like 500 guys tapping their asses off at exactly the same time, playing these stupid looking guitars, and they all sound like s**t. All these guys with their noses buried in these books on speed and technique.........[waves his hand dismissively] How plastic can you get? I never cared for any of those guys like Joe Satriani or Steve Vai. It all sounded so devoid of emotion.

Ok, I don't agree that it's devoid of emotion, but I'm not a fan of tapping super fast either. I just like playing a good-sounding guitar. Like AC/DC, or Led Zeppelin.

So in other words, this is yet another example of a guitarist who thinks it is cool to suck a** on guitar. "Why would I want to do any of that interesting bullcrap when I can be pulling off pentantonic bends and blues box solos in the middle of my sweet bar chord song lines." Basically he is masking his own failure by blaming everybody else for being too good. I'm afraid I've never seen a shredder at the guitar store who is old fat and balding, those guys all seem to play classic rock (which is what he also plays if i'm not mistaken). So, what's his deal with tapping anyways? Tapping doesn't always have to be lightning fast or anything, just another tool. That's like if I were to say that bends sound stupid and out of tune, or that vibrato 'is for tossers' as he might say. What it all boils down to is that guys like this should be alone, sucking in their basement, rather than sucking in the pages of a guitar magazine.

They are one of the few modern bands I can tolerate because they remind me of AC/DC. Also, the came from Australia like AC/DC too. But yes, they are a lot better than most other modern bands. 3nodding

So basically what you're saying is that AC/DC sucks, because that's the way Jet plays. Obviously they're not as good as AC/DC, but they're not terrible, and they don't suck. Blink-182's guitarist sucks. Good Charlotte's guitarist sucks. Jet's guitarists do NOT suck. Maybe they're not as good as Zak Wylde, but they don't suck. Do you guys like anything besides shredding/metal?
