Has anyone read her books? Tithe was my personal favorite...I read it for a straight 2 weeks and now can quote it from memory. I still catch myself thinking a lines from it now and then...
I didn't like Valiant that much though. I'm big on romance, and I didn't think there was that much of it. Plus Roiben wasn't in it. xp
I can't wait for Ironside! Only a little less than a year...

I read them a while ago and thought they were ok but not wonderful. I didn't know she was writing another one though...

I absolutely adore Holly Black's books, I've read Valiant and Tithe, I love how they use what you would think as childish fantasy creatures, like faeries and trolls/ogres but they're so adult and interesting.

I read both Tithe and Valiant this summer. I enjoyed Tithe more than Valiant, but they are both wonderful books. When does Ironside come out?

I keep hearing about Ironside, but what is it actually about? Just a sequel to Tithe or Valient?

Oooh, I adore Holly Black. Not only do I devour each new book she writes, I also watch her on Livejournal. It's pretty awesome being able to read about how she's progressing on Ironside.

I've read both Tithe and Valiant, but I kinda liked Valient better. The story and the crap she goes through were fun. AND the fairy drugs made me laugh. wink
I haven't been able to get Ironside yet, though.

I'm not particularly fond of her style of writing. Yes I think Tythe was better than Valient, but nither of the books interested me that much. In fact the real reson I read them is because a friend of mine reccomended them to me, and she dosn't read books that often so I figured it might be worth it. :: shrugs:: At least it gave me something to read on my vacation.

I'm a big fan of all her books, but I found that Ironside felt kind of awkward. Valiant was actually my favorite, because I loved the mental image of Val with all her hair shaved off. Ah, the butch girls...

Jhesy I'm a big fan of all her books, but I found that Ironside felt kind of awkward. Valiant was actually my favorite, because I loved the mental image of Val with all her hair shaved off. Ah, the butch girls... I liked that scene, too. Though Lolli and the kitten...that was probably my favorite part. She loved it so much, and yet how it ended... But I liked the depth in Ironside's plot better than Valiant.
