Due to the overwhelming support for this for the first debate question, I have picked
Who should Christine have ended up with?
as the first debate topic. This isn't about who loved her more but reasons why she should have ended up with either of the two leading men.
The winners will be decided upon by a majority vote.
Current Prize Pool (this will go up with time as my gold count goes up):

This isn't a topic just a yes or no answer, because it is a debate you need reasons to support your answer. Quotes and such are incredibly important for making your argument, but not always necessary. You can also use outside sources (medical evidence, real historical facts, etc.) to make your point.
You can use three different versions of the Phantom of the Opera to make your main case.

I should not have to remind you to please keep this civil and respectful. You are here to explain why your choice is the best. We know who's team you're on already, now's your chance to "convert the other side" in a sense.
In response to Elanchana's enthusiasm for being able to debate both sides I've now added a third option for free-debaters. This means you can discuss both sides but you will not be receiving prize money. Please do not steal the debate from the contestants, they take priority because they're actually duking it out for prizes.
Hopefully this will spark some more activity in this thread.
