At the moment I'm trying to get through Gasaraki. Rightstuf had this wonderful sale around Christmas and the set was available for $25.
I'm only halfway through at the moment. The series has some of the most realistic designs I've seen (yay Izubuchi) and is even more a**l about being representative of Real Robot than even Patlabor. I particularly like the movement system where the machine calculates how to maneuver over terrain and the pilot simply chooses the particular course of action. Some complex maneuvers, like a spin to the side to evade an incoming shot, are simply executed by the pilot saying spin instead of random Gundam lever pulls that usually make little sense if you try thinking about them.
Four DVDs into it though and not much has happened for the last two. Political maneuvering out the wazoo at the moment... interesting... just not terribly exciting.

I'm still nine volumes into Aura Battler Dunbine. Not a damn store in Orlando seems to have the last three volumes. And it's kicked a** so far........I don't care what that review dude at MAHQ says (Valid as some of his points may have been).
With the coming of Zeta Gundam (Which I finished in six days) Bandai seems to be releasing box sets for the 8th MS Team, 0080, and 0083. I'm saying "0080? BOX SET?! The whole thing spans six episodes! Pop that sucker on a single DVD and quit kidding yourselves." . Yeah, I know they wanna squeeze money out of the customer, but the last time 0080 saw a release, it was on two DVD's at three episodes each............and before that, three VHS at two episodes each. Anyway, might pick that up when (if) it hits store shelves. It's cheap enough (Just about the cost of a usual DVD), and I'm certainly gonna pick up an 8th MS Team Box Set. The last time I saw that completely through was back when it ran on Toonami (Pity me and my RX-78(G) and Ez8 deficency), and thats a freaking long time ago!
..............huh? What I'm on NOW? Oh, right. Anyway, I'm also two volumes into Full Metal Panic, but thinking about abandoning my search for the singles and just spring for the box set, seeing as it would be more economical time and energy wise.
Still, It'd be nice to get something different...........maybe I should give RahXephon a go. I've only read the manga, and as usual, I hear the anime is considerably different, as well as better. Probably the closest thing we'll ever get to Yuusha Reideen...........and I hope ADV takes my suggestion of getting their hands on Yuusha Oh GaoGaiGar seriously.......but we all know the chances of that.............maybe if things go well with Mazinger Z and Getter Robo, It'll be upgraded from a snowball's chance in hell to a worm's chance in a pack of birds.

Guilliam Yaeger I'm still nine volumes into Aura Battler Dunbine. Not a damn store in Orlando seems to have the last three volumes. And it's kicked a** so far........I don't care what that review dude at MAHQ says (Valid as some of his points may have been). Not putting stock in MAHQ reviews is always a wise decision... maybe if I would have joined when the site was created it would be otherwise... but I had no clue it would have been successful when rand proposed the idea in the late 90s. Guilliam Yaeger maybe I should give RahXephon a go. I've only read the manga, and as usual, I hear the anime is considerably different, as well as better. I really enjoyed Rahxephon (anime) myself. Pretty solid characters, killer designs, an amazing soundtrack, and unlike most anime nowadays it actually has a pretty decisive ending. I gave the manga a shot but I couldn't get into it. It seems to be one of those semi-typical things where whichever came first between the manga or anime is the better incarnation. Of course there are exceptions (Escaflowne anyone?), but it seems to be the usual case from what I've observed.

Me, I've only had a crack at the Escaflowne manga. Haven't really thought about looking into the anime.
Still, the manga was pretty good..........maybe I could give it a go...........though I did just pick up RahXephon Orchestration 1 just the other day.
Man, did I need it after yesterday. First night class at college running three hours and fifteen minutes............oh well. Life can get a lot worse than college, huh?
Anywho, first up is RahXephon, followed by Alpha 2, which should arrive sometime next week, provided that it's shipment isn't delayed. I love speedpost shipping.
Maybe after that I'll go pick up an Escaflowne..........if I don't see the last three Volumes of Aura Battler. Gotta be finishing that, and it's been months since I put my hands on a new volume.
And on that subject, maybe ADV will get their hands on L.Gaim. Gundam owns, and Aura Battler has seen fair success, so why not show off another Tomino series?

Above poster dude, try using periods, commas, and general punctuation.
I've seen the Prince of Darkness a few times. Once at Florida Oriental Trading, but I mostly see it at GameStop. Try looking around the used DVD section there. Thats how I got my entire season of Neon Genesis Evangelion at just 9.99 a DVD.
Course, it's all up to luck with whatcha find there. They sometimes have a gem among the junk.

SD Gundam Generation Games = Okay
SD Gundam Series = May anybody who had anything to do with the creation of this series, short of Master Tomino for making the series upon which it was based, be caught in a colony drop with the colony being gassed with G-3, and at the same time with a Solar Ray System being aimed at the drop site.
Harsh, you say? So was giving us THIS series instead of any number of others. SD Gundam may draw in a younger crowd to the Gundam franchise, but now we have SEED for that.
Show me X and Turn A! I won't ask for ZZ, because we just might have a shot at that already...........if those Z Gundam Box Sets sell well enough (They do down here), and if ZZ does well, maybe we can see Victory Gundam sometime after.
It's not that far outside the realm of possibility. Gundam SEED just brought in a new wave of viewers, and the UC Seasons are being boxed up now...........short of the White Base saga, but thats available in subbed movie sets............and F-91 is available most everywhere I go.
So let's see some Crossbone manga, eh?
