Okay guys in one week I gotta meet with my leaders and have all sorts of great ideas for them. So my question for you is what are some of the most fun, most spiritual, and most memorable activities you've had?

Well, for a combined activity, we had everyone who had been on a mission outside the US set up booths in different classrooms, and told us about they're country, let us sample some of the food, put on their clothes, etc. It was really fun, and we learned about a ton of different cultures! Spain, Phillipines, Mexico, Dominican Republic, New Zealand, Venezuala, and tons!

Oh, that sounds fun, Mahonri!

Two that I remember: making quilts (yes, with the boys too!) for needy infants and then one time we had the whole stake out to paint and otherwise beautify an inner-city street in Baltimore.

Come to think of it, the next Home, Family and Personal Enrichment activity is going to be learning to use tools and making a quilting frame for later use. Plus actual canning. I'm really looking forward to it. smile

i kinda wish we had personal, home and enrichment meetings more than once per quarter....

anyway, a couple of mutuals that i remember--everyone learned how to iron white shirts--boys need to know for their missions, and girls for their husbands.
we had an etiquette class and a formal dinner--everyone dressed formally.
something that we had but i didn't get to go to--learn ballroom dancing, or swing dancing
....

Fugitive is always a gooder. Heck, one of the best activities we had was a game of Laurel/Priest spoons lol Or just a game of hockey, soccer whatever... they can be a lot of fun.

Our YM/YW take turns preparing simple meals and serving them. It takes up two activity nights. Then they vote on who's meal night was the best. The judging includes decorations, which group best stuck to an overall theme, taste/Recipe, budget, service, ect. Skillet Nights!

This wasn't the most spiritual activity in the world, but it was FUN.

Give them all footlong PVC pipes, a bag of mini marshmallows, give them distinctive marks as either a Nephite or a Lamanite, and let them have at each other in Nephite-Lamanite Marshmallow Wars.
