I know that Easter is also known as a pagan holiday celebrated on or around the spring equinox. Christmas, however, is a Christian religious holiday. Though several Christmas traditions and customs that are still common today, such as Christmas trees, originated from a pagan holiday on the winter solstice, I still consider Christmas to be a celebration of Christ's birth...hence the "Christ" in Christmas...either way, they've both been commercialized to the point where bunches of people don't know what they're about anymore. All they know is Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny. stare

No, it's not...

Chirst wasn't born turning the winter, he was born during the spring, then the weather was haste from heat and wind. Chriastians celeabrate Christmas with Hannakah, Kawaza, and the pagan holiday of Yule (Aka: winter Soltis. Ever hear of the Yule log? and Reindear/ Stags? The Christmas Tree? They are from the pagan holiday, Yuke, that conquering christains named there own after takeing pagan lands.

Wacth "King Authur.." It's very historyicly correct.

i also go on what the bible says....no where in the bible does it say jesus had a berthbay party or what ever those 3 wish men did not show up the night he was born, but rather 2 or 3 years later the text said there was a infant not new born..another reason i can think of...i'll have to do more resurch..and then give the scripture that way you can look it up yourself..just in case you want pruf.

Yes, I know that Christmas trees and what not were originally from the pagan holiday. I said that it my post. However, "Yule" and "Christmas" are two seperate holidays in my mind because the celebrate two very different things, even though the symbols and traditions of both have become blended and confused throughout the years.

I also know that Christ was not born in the Winter. I never said he was. I know he was born in the spring, because that is the time when shepherds would be staying in the fields overnight with their sheep, since that was the time of year the sheep would be giving birth. Also, I know that the three wise men didn't visit Christ on the night he was born. That's just another one of the things that's gotten all confused. Holidays are a mess now-a-days.
