After finding out that yes infact the human male did live somewhere around the lake she had decided that an exploration of the area was in order. So she had decided to take a run though the area.
The wind felt good as it slid though her mane and the sky was bright over head. She stopped occasionally to catch her breath before starting again. The area around the lake was beautiful and gave her pleanty of room to run.
So run she did. The lake was a shimmering sliver on the horizion as she stopped once more to catch her breath and look up at a single cloud as it crawled across the blue.

A male stallion by the most unique look came cantering through the shallows and upstream to the lake. The day was hot so he intended to do one of his favorite things on a hot day...to dive right into the lake to cool right off. He slowed his gait when he noticed one of the most uniquely colored mares he'd seen yet running around in the area.
He called over to her, "Hey there miss! What are you up to on this fine day?!" He was never anything less than welcoming and outgoing around new soquili.

Her ears flickered in his direction a moment before her head turned and she looked at him. Another stallion. Just her luck. No, no, she needed to be nice. She was new to the area and the last thing she needed was to get on someone's nerves and be chased off.
"Greetings." She bowed her head slightly. "I was useing the clear day to run. Nothing intresting"

Oathkeeper approached her quickly, "Well I beg to differ, running is a fine thing to do and I think it's quite interesting." He returned the bow equally as politely and smiled softly, "I'm Oathkeeper; I was just on my way to take a cooling dip in the nearbye lake" he announced, "Since I know what you're doing but not who you are...might I know your name?"

Wow, he talked alot. Guess it is better than just staring at me she though to herself as she flicked some dust out of her tail.
"Rogue. Pleasure to meet you. Running is fun, but it isnt anything all that intresting to talk about. You cant really express the joy of it to someone who isnt yourself." She smiled slightly

Oathkeeper chuckled. "Pleased to make your aquiantance, Rogue. And true, it's not a particular interesting subject for discussion, although I do know well the joys of running. Its a passion of mine actually." He paused momentarily then tapped his hoof on the earth before him. "Care to race me to the lake from this point? It's naught but a small sprint? What do you say?" he asked kindly.

She tilted her head and looked over to the lake. She figured he'd be better from the offset and since it was a short distance he'd probably win.
"Alright. But i will take no responsibality if i win and damage you're manly pride." She nickered and turned to face the lake.
