For now, I'll just put this all on the rumour side.

Because on the internet, you can't trust everything.

Until I hear it form the source (Nintendo), I can only call this a rumour.

(especially for someone who doesn't want to believe that the X-box 2 will be outdone).

This is only what I would expect. I can't wait until the Revolution is finally launched, because it is called the revolution for a reason. If Sony and Microsoft are finally driven out of the gaming business (somewhere that they don't deserve to be in the first place) then Nintendo will finally be able to start the gaming revolution by showing people the true King of Games (and that would completely wipe out all Microsoft/Sony fanboys, and there would finally be peace among gamers).

As far as I'm concerned, I hope Nintendo gives it their all (they already showed they are really working hard, because they've stopped a lot of production for the GCN because they are working on the Revolution) and finally earns the respect they deserve (I mean from the real gamers, not the idiots and/or fanboys).

SSJMole, you sound like a typical Nintendo fanboy.

Nintendo is a great company and all but Sony and Microsoft have done great jobs with their consoles and already have legions of fans that wont give up on them. (Well, I'm not too sure about the Xbox sweatdrop ) Your kind of comments have flooded the VG forums a million times over, and it's gotten really annoying.

No company is better than the other but when it comes to innovation, Nintendo comes out on top. It's just that most people dont see the innovation, all most people want are graphics and titles.

But if the article you posted is true, then the Revolution will supposedly outdo the everything in the next-gen market. After all, ATI is making the heart of the system, and ATI made the heart of the Gamecube (Which does have the best graphics, as of recent speculation). Plus, Nintendo is spending the majority of their savings (6 billion US dollars) on this system which has been in the making since the GCN's release. If anything, the GCN just followed suit of Japan's superstition that the number 4 is an unlucky number--the GCN being Nintendo's 4th major home console.

So, am I in support of Nintendo? Of course. Will I keep an open mind when all the systems are unveiled? Of course. But what drives me to think that Nintendo will come out on top this time is the fact that they have definitely learned from their mistakes this generation; and they're applying that knowledge to this console.

Just wait for E3. wink

Unfortunately, these are more the feelings that I have after having to deal with the Microsoft/Sony fanboys (if they play games at my school, then they are on or the other) who constantly think that Nintendo is the worst thing to happen to games and that the PSP is the best thing ever and the ultimate game system (keyword game). One person actually believes that all the third party companies are going to the X-box 360. When I have to deal with things like this, it tends to spawn a hate within myself towards the source of the problem (Sony and Microsoft, mainly). Its mostly because no matter what I say I always get this basic response:
"PS2 is better because it has more games and X-box has Halo 2. PSP is also the best handheld because DS sucks."
When I'm surrounded by immature fools who neither understand what they are saying nor listen to people who oppose them, it tends to get my blood to boil, and then I tend to think a little more fanboyish as far as games go.

I probably should stop posting here at school...

Oh man, how sad.

I'm not even allowed to like another console maker that's not Nintendo.

Just because I'm a Nintendo Defender, doesn't mean I worship Nintendo as the total best and everything else sucks.

We don't need fanboys in this guild. This is not a "Nintendo Fanboy" guild. THat's not what we are about. We don't preech about how good Nintendo is and how the PSP sucks a** and it shoudl die and so should the PS2 and Xbox. It's a Nintendo Defender guild. We defend Nintendo from people who talk bad about it for bad reasons.

Microsoft and Sony are the compitition that force nintendo to become better in what they do. They are the tiger chasing the runner with the secret of a nuclear bomb. Compitition must exist for Nintendo to be good.

Like I said, I should stop posting at school. I usually have to deal with these kinds of things, so I'm usually not completely cooled down by the time I get in front of a computer (its either right when I get home or during my business class). The Summer should do me some good though, because I'll be at my grandparents house (the friend I know there likes video games a lot, and would probably love a PSP, but that's okay since he's more of a sports person and he'd only get the PSP for sports games/media, which are the few good points about it I see). I'm basically not friends with anyone at my school (we all know each other in our own class, but there's only about 5 people I can consider friends) and since I'm seen with my DS constantly (I wish I could have AP classes, because Honors still aren't enough) people know I like Nintendo, and you can guess what happens to the fanboys when they see.

There are 8 groups that can describe everyone at my school (excluding myself and my few friends):
Sluts (especially freshmen)
Gangsters (all races and ages)
Rednecks (understandable since I do live in Florida...)
Girls*
Anime freaks (I mean freak as obsessed)
Idiots**
Christians***
Fanboys (Microsoft and Sony only)
* (meaning the stereotypical girls who gossip all the time and talk about who they think is hot and how they like each other's hair/nails/shoes because a lot of girls here follow the stereotype down to the letter)
** (people who make quotes from things like Napolean Dynamite and other even less funny things that show stupidty and in many cases retardation)
*** (not people who are of the faith, but the ones who always go around talking about God and Jesus when people just don't give a damn).

That's what I deal with, and that's what has usually influenced some of my posts since I'm usually either at school or I just got home from school. Fortunately, I will no longer have to deal with any of this starting Wednesday (Wed-Fri we come to school, take finals, eat lunch, go home at 12PM) and ending in August. Unfortunately, with the X-box 360 (and Ign rumors about PS3) being released by the end of next year, I'll probably just PM RNX so that I'll still be a member, just inactive for a while.

Cheese whiz.

I havent been to the VD in awhile (got tired of all the crap) and I found this information very lovely. Im quite excited.

*joygasm*

You could easily put me into the catagory of fangirl. Rudely, I have had people tell me to 'shut my little fangirl mouth' in the VD when I say something about Microsoft that is true, that people dislike. Or something about Nintendo that whips Sony's 'hind quaters'. I dislike Microsoft and Sony strongly, and will not throw out my good money to buy their gaming products. However I do give them props for what they are good for and do play the games once in awhile if Im at a bud's. For the reasons that I always stand up for Nintedo I am always catagorized as a Nintendo Fangirl.

I dont dislike it, but I dont love it. I guess I dont care about people whom I don't knows opinions. Fangirl....is such...I think of it as an anime word, almost rude, a slang term, meaning something along the lines of 'loving something lots, but not really knowing the facts or why you should really like or dislike it' kinda thing. I know my stuff, and shouldnt fit there. I rather be catagorized as a 'gamer' saying that 'I like to play videogames, more than most to have a title' or maybe a better slang term should be made up to catagorize someone who knows alot about videogames, loves to play them, and doesnt fit into those other catagories....using the title fangirl/boy is almost...childish.... a very 'pre-teen' word.

I guess what Im saying is, I want you guys to stop babbling about how there shouldnt be any fangirl/boys here. There isnt any other way to really catagorized many people in the gaming community, and in society we need a way to label and catargorized ourselves and each other. Goth...punk....prep.... theyre all labels that are used all over the place, its human nature to use them.

I cant seem to be able to voice my point here, the words have escaped from my lips with no sound to be heard. I dunno. Maybe I have made a point, but...agh, Im getting anoyed with fanboyism and the people that tell people that they shouldnt/cant be a fanboy, and its wrong or whatnot. Its just silly. Anyways....I may have gone too far with this...but...its just kinda...silly. All labelling is silly. Its not needed is how I see it....ANYWHOSERS

Im uber excited about the revolution. My mother is sceptical about the free 'internet' but it would make sence....as Microsoft looses money with every Xbox they make, because it costs more to make the system then howmuch they price it. They make all this money back with Xbox live, but if Nintedo price this properly, it will be able to be free biggrin .

Yay!
