August 12th. The day had finally arrived. So far everything was going according to plan- minus a few minor technicalities of course. All the games were assembled, the decorations hung and food prepared. Ballentine was more than a nervous wreck, her lower left eye constantly twitching. She wanted everything perfect and made multiple last might changes. Nothing was going to go wrong, she'd see to that.

"Ok girls," Ballentine said to her own two twins, holding out staff passes to them, much like her own. "Make sure to have these on at all times. This way people know to come up to you if they have questions." Both passes were on a silver ball chain and slipped around their necks.

Xia giggled excitedly, lifting the pass up to her eyes for inspection. "I can't wait Mommy!" She exclaimed, bouncing on one foot to the other. "Me and Bao will be good help! Promise!"

"That's good. Remember once I open these doors you and Bao have to help pass out maps and greet everyone that comes in." Ballentine stated as she scooped Xia up into her arms, snuggling her lightly. "I'm sure you two will be perfect. Now remember to stay at this desk at all times like I told you." Xia was once more put on her feet before Ballentine fluffed the construction paper hat upon her head.

Xia just giggled before taking off towards the information desk. Bao was already seated there and staring blankly at the table. Ballentine made sure to go over and pet her cheek just lightly. "Bao, you ready to help Mommy too?" And like always, Ballentine didn't receive a response but she had hopped. Giving a faint nod she'd press a small kiss to the girl's forehead and then straighten up. "Wish Mommy luck hmm?"

Xia giggled. "Good look mommy!" She shouted, cheering for her guardian. Bao just sat there.

A voice was heard lightly clearing itself, and Ballentine turned to look at Saedare. "It's time? Oh boy do I hate public speaking..." Ballentine said with a small chuckle, reaching up to scratch at the back of her neck.

"You'll do fine Miss Ballentine." Saedare's words were soft and comforting. "Good luck."

Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, Ballentine nodded to Saedare. "I'll need all the luck that I can get." She said as she came to Saedare's side, the two heading towards the front doors. Ballentine forcing herself to unlock the doors and step out to greet the crowd that hopefully had gathered.

Stepping to a podium that had been set out, Ballentine glanced down at the note sheets that had been prepared. Standing still a moment she'd raise her head and then look out at everyone. "Good afternoon. I'm honored to have you all here." She said, speaking loud enough that the people in the back could hear. "I'll re-open the museum to the public in just a few minutes. I just want to once more go over the events and a few guidelines." That said, she once more looked down at the sheets in front of her.

"All staff members have passes with their name and picture on them. They are the ones you listen to and ask questions of. I highly doubt any one will pose as a staff member but you never know. As you walk in, games are to the right and food to the left. Upstairs is the arts and crafts table as well as a magic show and face painting. Oh, please keep all trash in the bins near each stand so we can keep the museum clean. Bathrooms are downstairs and clearly labeled on the door for male or female.

For those of you guardians that are picking up their relics today, as it is a great day to do so, I ask that you join me at some point today at the information booth. If I'm not there I can easily be paged to the table to meet you personally. I also ask that guardians come and greet me, I'd love to see how you are doing.

Once inside I invite everyone to the games, crafts and food. Everything is free, so don't worry about spending a dime. So, with that all said and done... It's time to go in." Flashing a charming smile, Ballentine would step away from the podium. As she headed inside she flashed another smile at Saedare. She had done it, the dreadful public speech! Going inside Ballentine took up a standing position besides the information desk to greet everyone as they came up.

Roxy gazed up at the museum in awe it was two stories and there seemed to be some kind of celebration going on. Her green eyes widened as she thought on that.

What if it's some fancy auction or party?

Her ears folded back as her gaze dropped down to her patched top and skirt. Roxy quickly tried to smooth herself out before taking a deep breath and heading in she had to at least try and look around. Her tail curled tense around her waist as she walked through the doors and looked around.

No such luck for the boys! They were spotted by the adorable little Xia, the girl just giggling in her seat. They were in fact the first children like herself and sister that she ever saw! In a state of awe, she slipped down from her chair. Silently she crept around the table before she lunged at the closest boy. "HI!"

Laughing happily she allowed all of her weight to fall on the other, smiling widely. "My name is Xia, see!" She lifted the tag from around her neck to show it off to both. "What are your name? My sister is Bao but she ... She doesn't do much. A lump in a log! Or something ... I forget what Taima call her. OH! Taima is my other sister.. but she's not like us.. " Yes, she could continue to babble. Looks like she forgot what she was supposed to be doing.

Thankfully Ballentine wasn't far away and noticed, a small smile coming to her lips. She'd let it go for now, it was good to let Xia interact with other thule pairs. "Silly girl.." She said lightly, taking the seat that Xia opened up while waiting for others to approach her.

Ballentine took her eyes from Xia and the boys to Roxy, blinking a bit in confusion. "Uh, yeah it is." Was it really not that obvious? She frowned a bit as the woman continued to speak before putting on a welcomeing smile.

"Are you? Well that's great!" Lauging lightly she picked up a clip board. "What's your name? This way I can go get your relic for you. I have them all kept in a safe place." Looking up at Roxy she waited for an answer.

"Roxy...." Ballentine repeated as she looked back down at the clip board. "Mmmm.. Yep! There's your name. If you can just wait here for a few mintues I'll go and get your relic from the back." Standing, Ballentine took Roxy's hand into her own to give it a gentle shake. "I'm Ballentine by the way. I'll be right back." Smiling, she released that hand to start into a room that had a sign on the door reading STAFF ONLY.

Bao just sat there, staring at the table top.

Bao didn't answer, nor did she even show that she acknowledged Roxy's presence. She just stared, as if in her own little world. Occasionally she would blink, but nothing more.

Ballie, Ceri would be interested in seeing Saedare, should you be ok with that *nod* ))

Ecavi, Ceri and Myze all arrived about mid-speech, just at the part where Ballentine was starting to explain about the staff and the passes they carried. All three were eager to see the renovations made on the museum, especially the aduthule, who'd spent a fair bit of time in the building themselves. It was Myze's favorite place to be, after all. While Ballie's speech went on, Ecavi couldn't help but glance around at the people around her instead of paying attention. Her hopes had been high on seeing those she knew, those she'd seen at the slumber party. However, she was unable to spot any of them.

Ceri's attention was fully on Ballentine and the speech she gave, she wanted to know everything there was to do, where to find it all, any instructions she might need. She could hold her attention for this if it meant she could flit from game to game, food to food, booth to booth..

"Wow," she said brightly, quite enthused. The day thule's green eyes followed the museum director away from the podium, where she finally caught sight of Saedare. It looked like Sedare, only lighter and bigger! Kind of like how Kari looked like Ri but bigger, and a little different. She squealed delightedly and made sure to watch where the older thule went.

Myze's attention was also on Ballentine's speech, but she wasn't so keen on the games and food as Ceri was. She was more hoping that the museum was air conditioned, and that she could find something reasonably interesting to do inside. The mention of people picking up relics sounded most interesting to the night thule, in fact.

" 'avi," Ceri turned to her guardian, whose eyes were off in another direction, "Can we go now?"

"May," Ecavi corrected her, looking at the girls, "Go ahead, but don't cause any trouble."

"Ok!" Ceri squealed and hurried into the museum. She immediately stopped once she was inside and looked around in hopes of spotting Saedare nearby. Myze and Ecavi followed after the day thule, but didn't stop when they arrived. Instead they headed for the information desk.

(( X33 Myze and Ecavi don't need direct answers, they're just watching until there's free time for the moment. Myze will probably move on, Ceri will too if she can't see Saedare :3 'cavi will wait to check in with Ballie, but no rush on that. ))
