If I were to have a doe character that was paticuraly reblious ( meaning trying to become a corps member or outrider, and refusing to except her 'role' as a female ) would I be banned from role-play, or is it alright to have a defiant character? I do realize she may never be a true outrider in the actual role-play.

I don't think that'd get you banned from RP. It's a really interesting idea, and as long as she doesn't actually become a corps member or higher, then I'm sure everyone'd be fine with it.

Can the does put a say in their stag like in the book, or is it all stag choosing doe? My little one has a complacent attitude and accepts her doe life, but I'm just curious. x)

The does can be stubborn and refuse a stag, they can have a say in it like in the book as well, but they have to be willing to accept that another male might and may challange the male they choose for her. xd In the book no one dared to challange out of respect. :3

TIME FOR A STUPID QUESTION.
What age do the deer start being interested in the opposite gender? *bricked* I want to know for role playing purposes. >.>

First off, I'm totally not complaining, I'm just curious. Why can homosexual deer take a surrogate parent to have offspring?

They can't for a few reasons:
1: It avoids a lot of future drama that I've seen in a lot of pet stores. 2: It just doesn't work in the system of mating that was presented in the Firebringer book. The males compete for females, not other males. Animals breed for the purpose of furthering their line, survival of the fittest kind of thing. The fittest males claim the fittest does so their offspring will be stronger than their generation and keep the species going. 3: Breeding does NOT feel good in the animal kingdom. It's very painful for the female and for males it's just kinda something they do for dominance or to further their line. The only species of animals that enjoy mating are dolphins and primates (to include us XD). Homosexuality apart from those species is really just a display of dominance. (Take a dog humping its bed for instance. It's not in love with the bed or into that kinda stuff- that's his or her bed.) 4: Males have little to no part in raising their offspring. 5: Does need stags to survive. Their bodies go into heat and that's their body telling them it's time to have a baby. (Or try.) 6: A doe would not surrender it's calf up to be raised by males. Animals hurt if they don't have something to feed off the milk their body produces after birth and males have no idea how to care for offspring. 7: Homosexuality among prey animals like deer is NOT a good thing and would likely never happen in nature. Why? Because if you're not breeding you're not repopulating the numbers that were killed off by hunters. Prey animals breed as much as they can becaues they know they're food for other animals like wolves and in this case, humans. 8: The same rule will apply to the wolves and Lera.
So preferences aside, that's why.

Actuallly... >.> Thally, that's not exactly right.
Homosexuality has been observed within over four hundred species of non-human animals, including red deer. These range from one-night stands to life-long bonds. It's actually quite common among animals that form 'bachelor groups'---that is, groups of young males. So, yeah, it does happen in nature. Got sources to prove it too, if you're curious.
Not trying to change your rules. I'm perfectly happy with them because they are, for the most part, realistic. A female deer is highly unlikely to relinquish her offspring unless she dies. Two male deer are not going to be able to raise a fawn by themselves, mostly because they do not take part in rearing a baby. (Now, in animals where both parents take an interest in raising the child, such as black swans, yeah, there have been reports of male homosexual pairs chasing away a heterosexual pair and stealing their eggs, but that's a whole other story).
I'm simply a nit-picky b*****d.

 I'm not going to argue the point any further. The opinions on this ground and the facts everyone can throw around to prove one side or the other would just cause larger conflict and I'd rather avoid it. It's pretty apparent what everyone's opinion is on the matter so we'll just leave it at that.

Two Questions ^__^
1. for the Spirits. can we try and get the speaker rolls, or since the are spirits would they already be able to understand animals?
2. for the Stats. if a Parents is equal in two high stats. do we just pick one of them to give the bonus to the child? or both?
