Roxy had wandered away from the games and followed her nose to the alluring scent of dark chocolate. She smiled at Melanie as she walked up.

"You don't happen to have those dark chocolate covered spoons do you?"

Her tail started to swish to and fro in eager anticipation.

Melanie looked up with a slightly annoyed look upon her face. Oh no she wasn't the happy camper of the group. "If I don't, I can make one." She muttered, glancing around for a moment.

No spoon was found upon the display, and so she casually strolled away from the booth. At the ice cream stand there was plastic spoons, and she managed to snag a few before wandering back to her stand.

There was a cattle of warmed chocolate, and one spoon was simply dipped inside. Well... a chocolate covered spoon. And almost rudely, the item was shoved into Roxy's point of view.

Roxy smiled and took the spoon. She tipped her head and cheerfully thanked Melanie before wandering off letting the chocolate on the spoon harden before licking at it.

Afte getting lost en route to the toilet, Renata crawled toward the food service area. Parched and crippled with hunger pains, she used the menu board to pull herself to he feet. Merely looking at the menu made her stomach lurch. Every last thing on it made her want to die. Sugar. Sugar. More Sugar. And chocolate. Selecting the only item she could justify for fruit content, Renata approached the cute blonde boy serving Candy Apples.

"I'll take one of the nice, juice medium ones, please," Renata smiled, addressing the young man. Seeing another event guest there, the professional kickboxer smiled.

"Hey there. Whacha eatin'?"

Roxy smiled at Renata and answered softly after lowering the spoon from infront of her lips.

"Dark Chocolate...in truth you use the spoon to stir hot coffee or tea or something and the dark chocolate flavor goes into that but I honestly like it just like this..."

She pushed her hair back her ears perking and twitching.

"Do you hear something? Like...a strange noise?"

She wandered back to the front.

((Sorry! I had totally forgot there was a separate thread for the food, and Dyaus started pigging out on his own and helping himself. Guess he didn't notice the Food Server Staff. ^^; They're free to yell at him for taking the food! He deserves it for sure...))

Opening Ceremony thread pg 3 ~

Tymiko the Pirate Girl
As Nuria's word's reached his ears, Dyaus stiffened and jerked around, as if he hadn't realized she had been following. "Oh! It's you again," he said, stating the obvious. "Uh...games?" What games was she talking about now? That was right; the museum games. "Yeah, yeah, games are fun...but can't I go get some chocolate first?" he whined. "I haven't had that stuff since...well, I can't remember, but I just...it's so familiar..." His wings fluttered slightly, as if they might lift him off and carry him to the chocolate table all of their own accord.

As the fire thule cautioned him about wandering off, however, he paused a moment, then offered her an arrogant smirk. "Hey, we've got wings! How hard can it be to get around this place? Besides, I never get lost." The confidence in his voice was so convincing, Dyaus whole-heartedly believed his own words and became smug over such knowledge. "Now where's that chocolate...ah! There it is...doesn't look like there are any polar bears around..." he mumbled qietly to himself as he turned a corner and spotted the table.

His mouth watered at the sight, and pretty soon he was piling a paper plate high with everything covered in milk chocolate. The dark chocolate looked interesting, so he tried that to, and found to his great delight it had a much richer taste than ordinary chocolate. There was also white chocolate, but he didn't dare try that; it looked more like something Lamar would have liked. Again, he seemed to forget about Nuria until he had sampled just about everything on the table. Glancing up, he rememebered there was someone he had been talking to, and, spotting her easily where he had left her, grinned messily, his mouth and teeth stained with the gooey sweetness, and waved her over. "This is great! Come try some!" It had not occured to him just what effect she might have on the chocolate.

"Yup! Me again" Nuria stated cheerfully. "I'm coming with you." It wasn't a question so much as a statement of the obvious. "Although can we go get our faces painted after chocolate? I really want butterflies on mine. Oh! Or flowers! .... or both!" She grinned at the thought. "And then games. Painting and then games. Or do you want to do games first? Maybe that first because they're right there... and I don't know where the face painting is. Danny probably knows."

She paused her chattering to give her own wings a flap. "You can fly already?" She asked in awe. "I've tried a bit but I can't yet. Oh and if you never get lost then you'll be able to find the face painting no problem!" Nuria had no problem believing him when he spoke with such confidence.

She watched him curiously once they'd reached the table with the chocolate-covered goodies. And then at his invitation came up and examined the selection more closely. Fruit, sweets and tasty things she didn't even recognise were everywhere. "Oh, there's so many things! You tried everything, is this one good?" Although it seemed Dyaus had found everything to his liking, except the white chocolate stuff. She picked up a couple of chocolate-covered marshmellows (though she didn't know what they were) and popped one in her mouth.

"Hey! These ARE good!" She beamed back, though not quite so chocolately as he had. Going to eat the other one she'd been holding she found her hand covered in melted chocolate. Being slightly warmer than most she had made it melt rapidly. "On no!" She cried in dismay and quickly tried to lick it off.

Dyaus seemed to pause for a moment in the act of finishing off his third chocolate-covered strawberry. He wasn't sure how he felt about a girl tagging along, as she had just stated she would, but then again, she didn't seem that bad so far. Definatley not as horrible as TV made girls out to be, yelling and screaming all the time... Still...she did seem to talk a lot. "You talk too fast," he stated rather bluntly. "And too much. Slow down." What little he had gathered was something about face-painting and games. "Let's go to the games after this. I wanna see what sorts of prizes they have."

It was more out of selfishness than anything that he wanted to go the the games first. No way he wanted a butterfly or a flower on his face. He wouldn't be caught dead with his face painted. Still, as he looked at Nuria, he imagined it might not be so bad on her, with her dark skin and molten markings. A volcano or something might be cool painted on her...but a flower? Way too weird to think about, not to mention girly. Dyaus abandoned all thoughts of the face-painting then, forgetting it as if Nuria had never mentioned it at all. He didn't like worrying or even thinking about more than one thing at a time.

At the awe in her voice however, when she asked about flight, he turned back his full attention to her, taking her tone as one to mean she admired him. He liked being admired. "Fly? Never tried it," he spoke truthfully, "But how hard can it be? Wings were made to fly, and I bet we could fly whenever if we wanted to badly enough." Then the topic of face-painting came up again, and he remarked on it casually. "Sure. They'd probably keep it somewhere else. There's too many things around here and they probably don't want the people to spill the paint." Pure guesses, of course, but it seemed the Sky thule was getting rather good at making guesses sound like unquestionable wisdom.

"Look, see? Up there!" He pointed up with a slender, pale finger to the opening in the ceiling; the second floor. "They're probably keeping it up there. We'll go there after the games. Dig in!" Dyaus enjoyed watching the Fire thule pop a chocolate-covered marshmellow into her mouth, then watched in surprise as the other melted and she attempted to lick it off.

"Hey wait!" He looked puzzled. "Won't your...won't your tounge be burned if you lick your hand?" Dyaus inquired awkwardly. If Nuria stayed too long next to the chocolate table, all the precious chocolate would be wasted in the dirt. "Maybe I should toss you a few and you can try to catch them in your mouth. Then the chocolate won't melt so fast." He grinned, then laughed suddenly. "It can be practice for the ring-toss game!"

Just then, a violent shaking rocked the ground beneath them, causing Dyaus to lose his uncertain footing on the floor and fall over for the second time that day for lack of balance. When it finally stopped, he got to his feet and looked from Nuria to Melanie, who he had overlooked when he had first approached the 'Everything Chocolate' table.

"What - what was that?!" he demanded of the food server employee.

"Yeah, I heard that noice earlier, too," Renata said, taking a bite out of her caramel apple. "The name's Renata Fanchon. IT's my first time to this place. Truth be told, my agent booked me for this event, but I don't have the faintest reason why."

Her athletic build made her tower over the little girl talking with her. She smiled kindly, envious of the munchin's ability to inhale chocolate without fear of calories or being skinned alive by her trainer. Licking caramel from her lips, she laughed inwardly. Her manager is going to regret sending her to the museum's gala. It was a sinfest of food, and Renata would be stockpiling as much as she could get.

"Where do you think we should go?"

Sean looked down at his booth, as from the shaking, the tray with candy apples managed to wiggle it's way off the edge of the table. "Well... ********." He muttered, looking at the wasted treats and hopefully not ruined red carpet.

A few poeple were rushing out of the museum, not wanting to stay after the small shake of the ground. Sean however stayed where he was to clean the mess made. Glancing up at the others still near by, he'd raise his voice so they could hear. "I'd suggest going towards the main hall, this way you can get updated on what happend. Or stand near a staff member incase there is a problem. I'm sure any minute Ballentine will go over the loud speaker with the problem..."

Roxy's ears perked at Seans words she nodded and glanced at Renata.

"The entrance I suppose...maybe Ballentine will let us know what happened...just felt like a small earthquake but I thought I heard something..."

She headed back to the front.

With buildings shaking, no one needed to tell Renata twice. Her career would be severe jeopardy if a building caved in on her. Following the advice of the candy apple vendor, Renata followed Roxy toward the entrance.

"Burn my tongue?" She tilted her head confused. "No... my tongues just as warm as my hands." She grinned and poked her tongue out playfully - since it had been the subject of the question. "Oh but game practice sounds fun! Yes! You throw them and I'll try to catch them in my mouth!"

She got ready and opened her mouth, ready for the first bit of chocolate. But it was then the ground shook and she gave a yelp. "Huh?!" Lucky for her she had been steadying her stance for the game when the floor moved so she was able to stay on her feet, just. "What's happening?"
At the advice of the adult she looked towards the foyer and was going to ead that way when the floor shifted again and this time it was accompanied by darkness.

"Eeeek!!" She made a grab for the closest person - Dyaus. "I dn't like this game!"
