Beyond the point of returning
Tainted blood ravaging
Feeling berating guilt
Salvation no where here
Needing, unrelenting, burning
Devouring rich red blood
Emerging different
Hunting, begging for more
Hardest lessons in my learning
Dealing the dying hand
Immortal soul passing
Letting go sunlit kisses
Darkening hours relearning
Mimicry of mortals
Mauling lovers to shreds
Self inflicted torutre

This poem is titled 'Vampre' and I worte it for a school project. I read somewhere that the resurgence in the mythology of vampires and such creatures is the fear of blood related diseases like AIDS. So this poem is really a poem about AIDS with a vampire metaphor. Be brutal in you comments please.

Hmm alright. I think you used alot of big vocabulary in there. I didn't think there was any flow within the poem, and it seems like a poem about vampires, and not about AIDS metaphorically.

Ok so maybe the meaning was a bit too literal. But that's the way I see AIDS, as this disease that totally and radically changes your body, mind and soul - and who doesn't think vampirism is the same way!!!

I thought it came out really well. The metaphor was a little lost but it was still a good poem.
