Hello fellow MSers.
This is a heads up. I guess most of the frequent members in the guild already know it, but this is a warning for the new members who joins because they want to trade items.
Trading non Gaia item/currency with Gaia item/currency is a bannable offense*. See this as your first warning. If I catch one more thread trying to trade Maple story item/mesos for Gaia item/gold, I will carry out a ban.
Sorry to ruin the nice atmosphere in the guild, but this IS a serious offense and needs to be brought up.
* Banned from Gaia Online.

Hahaha, liked how you jumped on that "Auctioning" thread within a few minutes. Perhaps should've kept it open and posted the warning in there, along with a "Thread Closed" note in the title or something. But, meh.

syger Would selling art of a maple char or gaia avi for meso or gaia gold be breaking the rules? (I just spent 3 hours on a sample >_> ) I think selling art of people's MS characters for Gaia gold is fine, since it's not actual MS items, it's your art. Selling art of people's MS characters for mesos would probly also be okay. Pretty much you just can't sell a MS item for Gaia Gold or a Gaia item for MS Mesos.

(I just spent 3 hours on a sample >_> ) Selling any kind of character art for Gaia gold- ok, as long as its legal, I suppsoe. Selling art for messo, should be ok with the Maple Admins. Selling anything Gaia related (items, gold, accounts, etc) for Messo- bannable 3nodding
Correct me if Im wrong :Sweat:

What is stopping us from making the transaction without an actual message? What if we just contact people?
Also, I do not see why this is a bad thing. Could someone explain the problems with trading Gaian items for Mapling items?

Its like goin into McDonald's with a s**t load of Burger King food n whatnot. Its just not allowed. As Tupac said, "Thats just the way it is" cool

Pellendro Hahaha, liked how you jumped on that "Auctioning" thread within a few minutes. Perhaps should've kept it open and posted the warning in there, along with a "Thread Closed" note in the title or something. But, meh. Nope, that wouldn't be a good solution. There was a thread around when I checked the guild this morning and I decided to delete it immedietly and not reply. No use to reply, since it will be deleted. Locking the topic is useless as it still leaves information about his IGN and what he's trading. So the thread will work as an ad for his sale. Last time, I went to reply, then deleted the thread after replying and realized how stupid it was.
MS Art <-> Gaia gold trades are fine. R&C is filled with avi art and OC arts. I don't see difference in OC art and MS art. Both doesn't have immediete relation to Gaia.
Regarding the Art <-> Mesos trade, I'm not completely sure. I myself made an avatar contest with a MS item as prize which is basically an Art <->MS item trade. I'll need to discuss this with the admins though before giving a definite answer. I discussed with a few moderators about my contest before starting it and it seemed to be within the rules, but I'm starting to think if advertising for off-site trade is a good idea.
Shogun Gari: Off site tradings are prohibited mainly because of the scam risks. Nothing says that you can't do such a trade in private. I.e. through IMs. But publicly advertising a Gaia<->MS trade is against the rules. The Market thread is fine, since it's a MS<->MS trade and the actual trade takes place in the game and scam risk is low (and completely none of our @$%& business). Sure, the Market place sticky can be used to advertise and you guys can contact each other and come up with a deal, but that's in private and if you get scammed - hey, not my problem. You agreed, your problem. wink
Hope this made sense.

So pretty much the reason Gaia doesn't want Gaia<->whatever else is because of the very large probability of scams, and the complete inability of admins to do anything for the losing party if said scam should occur? Wouldn't think they'd have a problem with your Shoe contest, then, since there's no entry fee first off, and also it's in a small private group that knows who you are and can...I dunno, ban you, or defame, or whatever...as nasty a thought as that is. sweatdrop
