Can one get an idea of, for example, what kind of laptop to buy from God in a dream?

I say "can". Anything's possible with God. What I should say is, "is it likely".

I had a dream that I had a Powerbook that was not mine, but I was messing with it as if it was. Before this I had been planning on getting an iBook, but this dream changed my mind and until I get further word, a Powerbook is my next computer.

Wise? Unwise? I'm open to debate.

If you're sure it was of God, then that's wise. If you're uncertain, and it seems you are by the fact that you're asking, then we are not the ones to ask. God is the one you should ask.

Although my spirit vibes (the prophetic side) are saying go with the powerbook...

Do keep in mind that I've only recently acknowledged the gift of prophecy in me. I'm still kind of shaky on using it, and knowing when it's just my thoughts or whether or not God put them there.

A.k.a. don't just take me up on my word. Confirm with God. =)

Sometimes with dreams they can revil what our subconceious has been thinking of so perhaps you're already got your mind made up and this dream reinforced the idea. It's not necessarily from God or anyone else but yourself. That is what it seems like to me and the sense I get. That you've been thinking about it a lot and this dream happened so I'd go with the dream. I don't think God really cares too much about what laptop you get but what do I know? *shrug*

Well...

A: I hadn't thought about getting a powerbook before this.
2: God wants what's best for us. I have a hard time believing that he would have told me to do something he didn't care about.

Have you prayed about it already?

I think God does care about every little thing in our lives. A computer is actually a big deal considering how much time we spend on it. You said you were messing with the powerbook like it was your own but it wasn't. My question for you is, "Did you enjoy using the powerbook in your dream?" I would pray about it and ask Him for some conformation.

....seirously dude...its just a dream...about a COMPUTER....why you think its some weird message from god...thats your business.

to be more practical about the issue...instead of wondering if its some odd sign...instead look at it as to what you probably should get.

for instance:

1) do you need a high powered "gaming computer" or do you need a regular home computer just for general use of emails, web searching and or other small simpler things?
2) no offense but SCREW iBook....i hate Macintosh company. and their computers. If you want a good EASY TO WORK WITH reliable computer company, get a Dell or a Toshiba. possibly a Sony. But mainly Toshiba and Dell. They're good computers, last long, and don't have too many problems.

Computers to Avoid:
Compaq
HP..aka Hewlet Packerd or whatever its called....
eMachine
Gateway

yes i know some people own these machines and will tell you they're just fine...dont listen to them please for the sake of wasting your time and money on something iffy to own.

3)If you play alot of games, especially games in THIS day and age, you'll need a good computer that has a high end graphics card.Especially if your going to play something like Elder Scrolls Oblivion or F.E.A.R

Don't fall for the ol sales pitch of buying something you don't need. If its just some regular "general use" home computer, get something that has like a simple graphics card like "Intel", that will cost you less. For gaming computers that need some more "omph" to it, they'll probably have nVIDIA or Radeon 9800....do some google searching on those...you'll eventually find something. But it can get pricey.

Sometimes dreams really are messages from God. Of course, it seems like he isn't sure. Whenever I have one of those dreams I know because it's distinctly different than my other dreams.

Now why do you hate Macs? My Dell crashed within two years of purchase. That's not long-lasting to me. Of cousre the other Dell we bought at the time is still running nicely. I do have a MacBook, and I'm loving it. Of course, I do still recommend Dell for a Windows O.S. computer.

But I do like my Mac.

I love dreams.
They have helped me and hurt me
Dreams is equal to medidtation.
If you think its god giving it to you remeber it.
But theres also somethin called satan and a nightmare demon so if you dont think thats god then throw it away into the back of your mind.
Sometimes god keeps on giving you the same dream to show you that it's him.

And you don't know this is from God. This is why it's hard to know decisions. I'm trying to find a job now but a great opportunity popped up and I felt very positive about this in my heart charkara so could that be from God showing me the way after praying? Perhaps but you don't know. That's the whole thing. And I often have dreams about things that I have not been thinking about. Doesn't mean it's from God. I don't think God would want me to be involved with vampires or a vampire chasing after me (In the past I've had weird dreams).

I would also add Dell to your list. We have them and I've had a lot of problems with them and we've only had it for four years. Our Gateway computer was great and we are using that monitor since our Dell monitor broke not long ago (earlier this summer).

Oh I can't stand Dell. I've had my motherboard crash, my screen broke twice and died and now my CD-R drive gets stuck and I have to press the button a thousand times and/or until it opens. I've heard Macs are pretty good. And yes you can usually tell the difference between dreams. I have had dreams dealing with the future and you can just tell the difference. I'm not sure how it works but it's different for each person I'm sure.

okay first off electornica doesnt last FOREVER...."i had my comptuer some odd years" dude people they eventually have problems as time goes on. ANY computer does so try to keep that in mind. however Dell is one of the best comptuers to compared to "such and such" computers i mentioned. you also have to keep in mind that problems coud occure on the computer because of the user thats using. its all situaitonal but MOST OF THE TIME Dell and or Toshiba and probably some other companies are good to use.

Anyway heading out. don't know when i can use the internet again. and dude just talk to some geeky techinal guys, people who does these for a living and they can help you pick out the ocmputer you will want.

Dont bash the computer companies for some problems... (not anyone in particular...) you could be trying to run more than your RAM can handle... or in the motherboard breaking situation... that could happen from a power surge, or power failure. I guess what im saying is, there are a lot of variables and to say that its a bad computer company because of some things that happened to your particular computer isn't a fair statement.

If you are like me, your dreams is just your mind having fun with what it has store in there.
