I'm entering my Junior year in High School, which means one important thing: Junior Prom! :] I was thinking of doing a sweet lolita for it.
Did anyone else do something similar for a school dance formal...thing?

Last year for prom I wore a pink and cream Victorian dress. :3 (Junior Year) And the year before I wore a short blue and silver Chinese dress (it's too short for me to wear it now, my hips got too big gonk ). (Sophmore Year) This year, for my senior year, I wanna go out with a bang! BOth of my previous dresses have been so toally different from the other formals (btw, apparently my sophmore year sparked a bunch of girls to wear Chinese dresses the following year XD ). I really liked my Victorian dress (I had Perrault style Cinderella slippers too!), but I need something different this year (and affordable!). I want to do a gorgeous loli dress, but I need a credit card to do that (I'm not allowed to ask my parents ;-; ). I may just buy a sugary pink kimono though (no black on prom for me).

Yes! This year is my junior prom as well! I hope that my father will be willing to buy me something over the computer so I can get a Sweet Lolita dress. After all, it IS junior prom...he should be willing to spend more for the dress....right? gonk Well, any other dress I get would probably be just as expensive. But anyway, I've been planning to go in Sweet Lolita to prom since...I've been into the Lolita style! I hope it works out for you...and for me! heart blaugh

I don't go to dances, and there is no such thing as a junior prom where I live, or even middle school, so I haven't done anything Lolita for something formal yet. I would love to, one day. Sweet Lolita would probably be a good choice.

Mer chan In what grade level do you start going to proms? Junior year. Though, if you're a freshman or sohphomore and a junior or senior asks you to be their date, you can go to the prom... I wasn't that lucky. xD

Aww, sweet lolita would be so cute for a prom! I just had my sixth form ball a couple of weeks ago, but I had a red dress with a big puffy skirt. smile All the shops were full of slinky dresses (so not my thing...) though so I got it on Ebay. Was cheaper too. Lol.

Oh, I'd love to wear Loli to prom.
Although, In my School we don't have prom until Year 12/13 (and I'm going to be in Year 9 when we go back).
I say go for it. ;D

I'm gonna be able to go to the prom this year! I still don't know what I'm going to wear. I'd really like to go lolita, but first I'd need to make a dress. Maybe I'll try aristocrat... Or I'm going to go to the prom in my kimono (it's a whiteish grey with flowers all over it that look like they were watercolored, it's soo beautiful!)

When I went to my Junior prom, I wore a modern Chinese dress that was black and had tiny red Cherry Blosoms on it.. I will see if I have any pics of it somewhere so I can show you!
