I saw it in the PLG and figured this would be a neat comparison! I'm buddhist. Thus I voted "Shramana Religions" Please note the limit is TEN I tried to be as encompasing as possible, I ask that you reconize if your specific beliefs are a sect of a larger more emcompasing religion, and vote that religion. I'm atheist/weak atheist/atheistic agnostic. Something like that.
My family is Christian, nonspecific. Occassionally, when he's drunk, my dad starts rambling about Jesus and Republicans, but that's as religious as we get. xd
Um... why is Protestantism separate from Christianity? O_o;;
Interesting statistics from Religioustolerance.org just for fun (Canadian, but it says the US and Canada's are close):
77% of the population define themselves as Christian. This is also a major slide from 83% in 1991 -- over a half percentage point per year. --44% of Canadians are Roman Catholic. --29% are Protestant --1.6 are Orthodox Christian --2.6 are identify themselves as from other Christian groups 17.4% have no religious affiliation 2.0% are Muslim. 1.1% are Jewish 1.0 are Buddhist 1.0% are Hindu 0.9 are Sikh 0.1 follow other Eastern religions 0.2 follow other religions.

Um... why is Protestantism separate from Christianity? O.o I was going to ask why Catholicism was separate too. They're all the same thing. Why not just put "Abrahamic religions"?

For some reason Catholics sometimes object to being called Christians, but Protestants... If Protestants aren't Christians, what's left of Christianity?

I am agnostic, from a Southern Baptist family.
I also study religions. I wouldn't consider it a way of being religious, but I enjoy learning by doing, so I've practiced other religious ritual besides the usual:
Goodnight Aaron. -Goodnight. *snore*

I'm an Atheist, from a family with mixed views on religion. My father is Atheist, and my mom would fall under the Pagan/Shaman/Earth religion category. :3

I am agnostic, coming from a Catholic mom and leaning toward Judism dad. Were I ever to believe in God, I'd become a Jew. And I am quite open to there being multiple gods and goddesses.

Catholics object to being called Christian? I tought it was Protestants that didn't consider Catholics Christians. o_O I'm Agnostic... I was raised Catholic, but meh, Religion just sounds like a bad idea to me... Buddism does interest me, even tough it's probably because they're atheists xd

I would like to hear why 'cult' was in the same option as 'Pagan'. A cult is not a religion.

Mermph.
My father was Catholic and my mom Protestant. Though not religious myself, I'm definately a soft athiest.
But if I were to go the way of faith, I'd be polytheistic and believe in reincarnation. sweatdrop heart

MipsyKitten I would like to hear why 'cult' was in the same option as 'Pagan'. A cult is not a religion. I didn't notice that, I'd like to know that too! Anyway, I'm Wiccan/Neo-Pagan, in a family of Protestants. I'm sometimes hesitant to actually call myself Wiccan though, for fear of being labeled a fluff-bunny because I'm a somewhat rebellious teenage girl and therefore I must be practicing Wicca to "stick it to the man" or some s**t like that.

Yeh. I'm Jewish. I like being Jewish. However, I have my doubts about the "God" phenominon. Still waiting for the control freak from heaven to show.
