I pity the people in Germany- Dead Rising was banned there. However, I live in America, and as soon as I get an Xbox 360, I'll be buying this game.
I have searched and searched, and I have come up with hundreds of potential ways to kill the zombies in this game. You can even beat the undead horrors down with teddy bears.
For those of you who don't know, Dead Rising takes place in a mall(Familiar?). It has a name, and it starts with a W, but I'm lazy and I don't want to look it up.
Now, it's made by Capcom- the people responsible for the miracles that were the Resident Evil games. However, this concentrates less on horror, since there are no spots where zombies literally jump from the shadows. There can be tens, sometimes hundreds, of zombies on-screen at once, but they are all out in the open.
What makes this game great is that
everything is a weapon. Games have made this claim before. Few, if any, have actually managed to come through with their promises. Dead Rising has.
I've even heard of people using hockey sticks and the trampolines to make a sort of makeshift bow-and-arrow. Tim Buckley, the author of the webcomic,
Ctrl-Alt-Del even mentioned spending his entire day heating one of the cooking pans in the game, and then charring the zombies' faces until they walked around aimlessly.
I don't think that there is any possible way
not to kill a zombie, short of using supernatural powers.
There's even an insane clown who became a homicidal maniac because once everyone turned into zombies, there was no one to laugh at his jokes.
Note also, that I am going off of what other people have said. I've seen videos, and I can assure you that everything is indeed a weapon, but since I don't have the game, I can not check the individual opinions of different people on what may and may not be possible.
