Ever since ToaU came out, a large amount of higher(60+) people have really begun to suck at their jobs. rdm, nin, pld, whatever! The tanks can't keep hate, the dd spam ws like no tommorow, there is no SC, blm overnuke. When they go to the old zones, they are clueless. I am hardly able to keep them alive! I'm healing more than 1 person, when before the expansion, The curing was limited to the tank and the ocasional hit to a mage. But now...cures are flying everywhere while I keep everyone alive, I die cause I had to pull a Cure V cause the mnk is in the red from a bomb toss, (barfira was up), and it's real frustrating. I have only had 1 good pt since people have been driven in hoards to the ToaU zones, and that pt was with freinds! Seriously, ToaUs tp burns are driving people to idioticy. Please people, read some forums(the old ones..like, a year old or w/e) on how to do your job. Cause the way you've been playing is not fun for everyone. stare

Seriously...especially the wars, only met like...1 intelegent one since ToaU.

If anything, yes, TP burning is more effective to killing a mob faster yet ONLY if the mob is a VT to low IT rating. Even then really good at the 73-75 range.

I guess if anything, people have lost the sense to pace themselves and have self-control/self-restraint.

Yet then again, there was also a thing where people like to overhunt for IT++ mobs and etc. which REALLY puts stress on the PT in being effective.

Yes, I'm a WAR. Yes, most of the PTs lately I've been in on my WAR (Haven't really EXPed much and if anything, it's to recap EXP/doing merits with fellow LS mates) are TP burns. Yes, after going through this process for an hour or so gets tiring. No, none of the PT members, including myself, suck.

As mentioned, people need to have a better grasp of self-control, self-restraint, and actually go at the pace for one's level that doesn't include overhunting, especially overhunting while the PT is a TP spamming one. That right there is a bad mix since the melees don't have enough natural accuracy in combat skill to hit the mobs effectively, damage the mob effectively, and everyone doesn't have the stats to help support the strain the mob will put onto the PT in terms of HP, MP, and damage.

gonk It's mianly the fact that people pull when I have 50 mp left from keeping the pt alive, and then they wonder why someone died while the rdm is nuking like crazy instead of healing while I try and get at least 200+ mp to keep going for the fight.
They tend to forget that mages don't have infinate mp and need to rest. TP burns really hurt when you're throwing cure's everywhere, the rdm is barly refreshing you, and the blm is overnuking BIRDS with REFLECT so you need to keep them alive as well. Frankly, 6k an hour is not worth this much stress. Play the game for relaxation, not swaping target every second to cure..then not be able to cause the idiot got untargeted from an equip swap. It's driving me crazy/ Had to d/c from my last pt cause of how sucky the people were.

I could care less if it's a nin tank or a pld tank, long as they keep hate and I don't needa check other peoples hp, I'm fine.

This is worse than when I exped rdm and the blm swaped staffs every 5 seconds so I had to wait till they were resting to refresh.

Eh. Simple solution to the BLM deal yet may be annoying everytime...Just change to their name for every PT, yet at least it should go off no matter what, even if they're changing staves for their spells.

Guess the perks of a TP burn: It's normally a 4 DDs that can gain TP relatively fast, the spam it, mob (which SHOULD be VT) dies really fast. Also nice if all the melees are /NIN or a NIN DD so you can blink away the damage and all really having an equal share on the hate going around and not taking too much damage. Only mages are a RDM and either a WHM or BRD so not that much in terms of doing much in refreshing. Then again...That's just the standard I'm use to for this PT setup. Only time we stop is when chain's dead and/or someone needs to go on a break and/or both mages are completely out of MP or pretty low to do much. The latter happens much more often, though, as the PT goes on longer and longer and people grow a tad bit lazy at times.

For the record, I'm just stating stuff. Then again this is just EXP PTs. At least with end-game stuff people know where the line is to keep things smooth and not a wild fight that'll end up with many deaths or a wipe.

it was...just 5 seconds is not enough to target and hit refresh.

Oh, and I'm the whm...cures on more than 1 person at a time=frustating. I want a tank

I've noticed problems in alot of party places, mostly bibiki bay, everyone seems to think so highly of it but I never really went to it Pre ToAU, but now everytime i go there the exp sucks, i mean reallly sucks, I've learned to set my exp comment {Bikibiki Bay} {No Thanks}

I don't know if this has something to do with ToAU or not

TP Brun is something id keep to 74+. Anyhing less than that and your wasteing time and energy. Bibiki Bay is actuall a decent place to XP if ToAU zones are full, but with a bad party set up XP will suck no matter where you are. But im a SAM so yeah all i do is spam WS unless theres a SC which there usually isnt 1 anymore. But i dont usually get hit alot cause of third eye and my eva is always capped (Thanks to THF).

Lol you must have horrible luck. I'm loving these new zones. I'm a whm, rdm, and brd 75 and I've been in some kickass pt's that were TP burn. I guess you have a bad player base or something or like I said just horrible luck, cause I garuntee you there are good players out there who know how to switch from TP burn to a steady moving pt with sc and mb.

Yes. Those few pts that actuallty are good ussually consist of people taking their 2nd or 3rd job to 75 who actually payed attention to what the other players were doing the first time around. Oh..and a taru pld in my pt last night..omg...best....tank...ever...Barly had to heal him(he was getting hit for like 20...only time I hadda do a huge cure was that one time a mob used a ws X3 in a row. Me and the rdm mainly talked about how funny it was that the blm took an hour to figure out the birds reflect(and this is after she blizzaga II two birds at once and we all fell like rocks...hurray that reraise was up)
