There was life in these lands, the lioness could feel it. That was the feeling that had brought the Goddess of Souls to these lands, just outside the Pridelands. She was certain there must be a pride of considerable size near here, among other groups and creatures.
Mtima'safi walked peacefully through the grass, her eyes wide open and her wings hidden from the eyes of any mortal who might happen by. She'd made the decision to hide them in hopes of looking less out of place, but she did nothing to hide the circlet or necklace- she was rather fond of those particular items. Opal, after all, was for guidance.
After she'd walked for awhile, she came to a stop beneath a tree. With her head tilted upward, she admired the leaves silently. They reminded her of her brother, and she kept her eyes on them with a small smile on her face.

A smile came across the male's face, as he yawned in tiredness. After a few moments, the once silent sleeping lion had awoken -- and ventured off from his parent's den for a while. He might have been close to adulthood, but he still counted on his parents for his survival. Although his dad was never around to be with him, he enjoyed the company of his loving mother, who was always cheerful. She also seemed to enjoy the company as well, since the other cubs had left and went off on their own.
Kizamaji turned past the side of the small cave, which he called his home. As his pace quickened, he looked back, the view of it disappearing for a while, until he would return.
There was nothing like poofing for a bit, and just leaving the pride's borders. This was always fun for him, since he usually met a lot of lions this way. There was always rouges trying to sneak into the Pridelands, or look for food.
The blue male decided to scan the area with an itching sense of curiousity. His mother didn't like it when he left the boundaries, so he didn't do it as often as he used to. As he blinked rapidly, he spotted a sillohette in the distance. The lion seemed to look interesting to him, so he grinned. He shook his small mane, and then took off towards the lonely tree sitting in the middle of nowhere, it seemed. It wasn't until he got a better look at the lioness, that he went into a shock.
It felt like his eyeballs were going to fall right out of the sockets as he eyed up the beautiful female admiring the tree. He padded closer, as he instantly greeted her with a warm smile.
"Good Afternoon, lovely." He narrowed his eyes, as his smile widened into a grin.

Without moving her head, a set of eyes fell upon the appraoching blue form not long before it was within earshot. Bright blue, Mtima noticed, such a beautiful color. He had to be closer to tell more about him, but from what she saw she was optimistic. Colorful was a good start, and blue was a nice color to be.
"Hello," she replied when he greeted her, finally tilting her head towards him. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she examined him for several seconds, and then her smile widened. From what she could tell, he was not a bad lion. She got to her feet and gave a polite nod. "I am Mtima'safi," she introduced herself, "What is your name?"

As she spoke, he smiled more and more. "Hi there, Mtima'safi. Thats a beautiful name!" The male nodded, as he admired her from his location. He sat down, drawn in by her beauty. Her final words seemed like jibberjabber to his brain, but he replied.
"Uhhh ... ... "
Blinking, he coughed and snapped for a moment. "Ooooh. My name? My name is Kizamaji!" He looked down, straying away from the sight before him.
"So, whats a fine lady like yourself doing out here in the rouge's land? If you want to be more safe, i'd reccommend going to the Pridelands. Probably one of the safest places in all of Africa."

Her eyes lit up at the compliment from him, she's always liked compliments! "Why thank you," Mtima said gratefully, then waited for an answer concerning his own name, laughing quietly at his pausing.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kizamaji," she said, resuming a seated position once again. She kept her eyes on him, even when he stared at the ground instead. "I feel quite safe out here," she said, looking around the area they were in, "Which Pride is it that's near here? Is that the one you mean? There must be a lot of lions in it." Her voice sounded almost hopeful when she asked about the size of the Pride, and she looked back at Kizamaji.

"You too, Mtima'safi." He nodded peacefully, as he returned his view to her. "You feel safe out here? I always feel safe in my mother's den since my mom is the nicest mom ever." He sighed happily just thinking about her.
"Ah, the pride I live in is the Pridelands. Its currently the largest pride in all of Africa." He smiled and laid down in the shade beside the lioness.
"There are plently of cubs running around, since rouges are so welcome, theres an alarming reproduction rate. I'm one of them -- the 'cubs' that is. My mother and father were rouges. I wish I was blood related to the royal family, though. I feel like a worthless member of the pride sometimes" His ears slowly tilted back, as his eyes narrowed with a cold feeling.

"You may call me Mtima for short, if you like," she said with a wrinkled nose, smiling at him. She nodded in reply to his question and didn't say anything at the mention of his mother and her den. However her expression softened at the idea, reminded of the concept of mothers. She listened to him as he explained the size of the Pride, the cubs, the rogues, the mention of a royal family...
"Would you be any better if you were related to the royalty?" she asked him, doubting that any pride would keep someone they felt worthless. No soul is worthless! She did have a fondness for nobility, but not in such a way that she felt others were less valuable in comparison.

"Alright, then -- Mtima. Sounds nice, I like it." Kizamaji just kept on smiling at her, like he was an innocent Pridelander. As she continued on to ask a question, he quirked a brow.
"Why of course I would be better. Wouldn't you want to be 'famous' and adored by all of the pride members, and to have the chance to rule over the lands? As well as the power to make change, and be heard. Instead of being rudely ignored." He looked back, and snorted in disgust. A few of the pride's members were quite rude to him, because he was far different from the common yellow, red, and orange hues shown throughout the pride. He was upset because he didn't inherit any traits from his mother, who was almost all orange-yellow.
He sighed and looked towards the Pridelands. "Although I've never fit in, i'm still happy there. As long as my mother is happy, i'm happy. Thats the way its always been, since my mom always babied me the most out of the litter."

Mtima smiled at Kiza, and listened to his reply. Her smile twitched slightly and she held back a laugh when he asked how she'd feel about being famous and adored. After all, she had chosen to hide her wings, her immortality- what would he say if he saw that? Despite his unhappy expression and words, her smile remained. Though she hadn't doubted it, his words proved to her that he was indeed a good lion.
"Fame doesn't make you better, you can make change without it," she commented, swishing her tail gently, "But as long as you're happy, everything should be fine." Mtima'safi was among those to always try to look on the bright side, to try to avoid negative feelings. Her blue and gold eyes followed his gaze to the Pridelands. Her curiosity had been sparked already, perhaps now she had an excuse to check it out.

"You think I can make change without the power? You must be confusing me with another lion." Kizamaji rolled his eyes and sat back up. "Of course i'm happy. I couldn't be any happier where I am today. I'm grateful because I was born into this pride." The blue male stood up and padded off a few feet.
"I'm curious, but would you be interested in coming back into the Pridelands with me?" He quirked a brow and cocked his head to one side. "I know its completely random, but I really think you would like it there. Maybe you can even stay with my family, my mother wouldn't mind." He smiled at the female, hopeful.

"You may not have power, but without you there'd be no reason to have power," she explained with a small smile, well aware of the concept. Without belief, a god was not in a good state. Without subjects, royalty would just be nothing. She watched him step several feet away, at least pleased to hear he was happy and grateful. Her eyes lit up when he suddenly invited her back to the Pridelands.
"I'd love to see the Pridelands," she answered, standing up at once, "You'd show me around, would you?"

The blue male's eyes lit up with happiness as he lept around. He looked to the pride and then back to his new found friend. "I'm glad you want to." He returned to her side and held out a paw. "Of course i'll show you around, Mtima. Why wouldn't I? Its my home, and any lioness as kind as you is always welcome." He nodded and then grinned with excitment.

This was a good start to the day, Mtima decided.
"I'm glad to be welcomed," she replied brightly, nudging him gently when he returned to her side. She took a couple steps forward, in the direction he'd been looking, and then looked back to him.
"Lead the way," she grinned.

The blue male nodded, and went ahead of her a little. "Of course I will." He smiled, and then slowed back down to the lionesses own pace, to walk beside her. "The Pridelands is a beautiful, amazing place. I'm sure you'll love it very much. I also think you'll fit in nicely with that yellow coat of yours." He looked to her countless times, almost relying on sense of direction to lead him to the pride.
As soon as they crossed the border, he looked back to the area ahead. "Ah. Home at last." He took a few decent whiffs of the air and exhaled slowly. "How about we stop over at my mother's quickly before I show you around?"

Mtima kept a bright smile on her face and followed along with Kizamaji. Even though he walked beside her, he did lead the way- the path was rather direct and simple. Her ears perked up at the mention of fitting in based on her yellow coat.
"The pride is predominantly yellow?" she asked, unable to help but sound impressed at that. Yellow was not only the color of intellect and happiness, but it had associations with eyesight. It was most certainly a color the goddess liked. Her smile faded a bit when she realized he might not like her asking about that, considering he mentioned not fitting in and being blue.
"It's beautiful," she murmured when he declared their entrance to the lands, glad to jump into another subject, "Alright, I'd be delighted to meet your mother."
