I am having problems with temptation. I can't seem to pull myself away from it..no matter how hard I try. I always wind up deep in sin, and I am very aware of it when I am not sinning. However, when I am deep in the midst of temptation it is like I am blind to it. In addition, I am weak to it. It would help me if someone could pray for me and help me through my battle. I know that I have to help myself, but I just wish that someone could pray that I will have the strength and self discipline to overcome temptation.

I'll be praying for you. Temptation is a thing we all face and often succumb too. The goal is to keep a lifestyle that suits your relationship with God. Keep a daily prayer time, and study time. You might want to make some time for God everytime you are tempted. Its really hard to overcome somethings but what ever you do, don't give up. God is willing to help you, just remember you need to meet him half way.

I feel deep in my soul that God is still with me, guiding me and keeping my light glowing. My only problem is that I don't feed that light. I do not read my bible very much. Probably once a month I will have the self discipline to pick it up, but I believe so deeply in it's words. I hold onto them as much as I can because they keep my close in my relationship with God. However, my conscience has really been pushing for me to read it more and more. I mean at this very moment I just want to pick it up and soak up as much as I can.

Just as long as you keep praying you will feel God's presence. Reading the bible is very good, but prayer should be your first concern. I try to take time at least once everyday to pray to God, and sometimes end up doing so mulitple times. This has really kept God close to my heart. I have yet to regularly pick up the bible myself, its really hard sometimes. Thats why I'm joining a bible study soon to keep a good commitment.
