It says "Watashi wa ai suru" which is.. well, I know watashi wa ai is I love, so maybe it's I love you? I don't know Japanese, but I recognized the kanji for 'ai' and looked in my Japanese dictionary for what the last two hiragana were. I says 'suru' means "1. do; play (games, sports, etc.). 2. make (into). 3. choose; decide on. 4. cost. 5. have; get."

That's right, it's "watashi wa ai suru". The correct translation of "I love you" should be "Ai shiteru", but from the gestures and the overall image the message seems to be that confused

yes. They have it wrong. It should be 愛してる not 愛する。 confused And if it's a girl talking, then it would be わたし。If it's a boy, it would actually be わたくし、but seems how they would most likely use 僕(ぼく)for that, it's most likey a girl.

The chinese characters are also used in japanese. So the entire thing IS in japanese, but some of the characters ('I' and 'Love') can be also used in chinese.
But yes, your translation is correct.

TheFateOfTheUniverse The chinese characters are also used in japanese. So the entire thing IS in japanese, but some of the characters ('I' and 'Love') can be also used in chinese. But yes, your translation is correct. The character for simplified Chinese for love is different than Japanese. Also Japanese grammar is different than Chinese grammar.
