Curiosity, simply enough. I look around here, and I wonder just how many people here (And on Gaia as a whole) are really bisexual/lesbian/whatever.
I mean, the majority of people on Gaia are between the ages of 13 and 21, roughly, correct? And most of them are quite alike; many people here share an interest in anime, art, writing, ect. Now, the age that I described is widely acknowledged as being quite rocky, uncertain, and generally screwed up. So we've got a large amount of fairly alike people, quite uncertain sexually, for sure, and of course they all want to accepted, and have friends, but of course be different. Conformity is evil, yes? Bad, evil, twisted, corrupt? Maybe not quite so extreme, but you get the point.
Well so you're going though this odd, uncertain time in your life, and maybe all those of the opposite gender are pissing you off or something, and... time to jump on the bandwagon! It seems almost trendy here on Gaia to be gay/lesbian/bisexual, to be different in that way, ect. What I basically mean is that a whole lot of people who claim to be (And likely really beleive they are!) whatever it is they claim to be likely AREN'T, and are just going though a phase, or something. But, another thing I think about is, a whole lot of the people, without these influences, would have turned out normal. Or normaler. And by 'normal', I only mean 'as it is intended by nature to be', so don't get on my back about that. For how many did it become more than a phase, or whatever the hell it is, because there are so many positive influences saying "It's fine, don't worry, go along with it."
I'm not saying it's bad, or should be avoided, or that i'm even right in any way. Just something i've been thinking about and decided to say. Feel free to comment, i'm willing to talk more on the subject, as i'm sure I wasn't clear on most of it. Just typing crap down...

RevanStar I've been bi for as long as I can rememeber, even before I knew it... stare sweatdrop That dosen't make a lot of sense. So you were stealing looks at the other girls in preschool? But seriously, it dosen't; you just think you liked both from the second you started liking, well... anyone?

Ninjara i look back on my younger years and notice that i was attracted in some way or other to both genders. so therefore i guess i am bi, though i've never been with another woman before. yet... Another interesting way to think of it. Perhaps everyone is, to some small extend at least, attracted to those of the same gender. Even if it's the smallest bit. It would make sense, I suppose. What I talked about, the influences have people become bi/whatever could instead just be getting that person to accept what they felt for what it is. Then it... Ah, damn. It's too late for me to be thinking like this.

im not bi to be popular, in fact, all throughout high school i had the same small group of friends. To me, if one person is sexy, and i feel sexually attracted to them, it doesnt matter what gender they are *shrugs* im pretty sure im bi, ive been with guys and girls and liked both alot.

As a small footnote, Jones has never been with anyone. What a small, sad, wretched soul his is. Really, I can more repellant creature at school. I don't have the worst looks (I'm ranked in the bottom 25%, I daresay, however) and i'm centainly not the biggest a*****e. I just have this aura of "What the ****ness" about me. Far more confusing that attractive. Fun! Back on topic, shall we?

I'm 24, as of today actually, and I'm bisexual.
When I was a little kid I noticed that I tended to like girls and boys in pretty much the same way. I didn't really think about it at the time, but one day my mother said the word "bisexual" in front of me, and I asked her what it meant. I was probably eight at the time.
I've wanted to be straight sometimes because it was more socially accepted. I've also wanted to be a lesbian, particularly when I was dating a girl whose friends didn't like me because I was bi. But I've come to accept myself more as I am now. smile

We are ex friends because she was a b***h to my lil brother. I do have a background Jones. Dont think just because of my age I havent done stuff. stare

I'm not gonna delve into my personal life, as I don't want to and I have my right to privacy.
I will say this however.
Given my actions, people would be more lead to believe I'm gay then anything else. (Not to say that I'm a complete fruitcake, I'm the more masculine sort, yet quite feminine, if that makes sense.) However, I think about women a lot and I am perverted towards women more often then men (but I am still perverted towards men), so if you put the two together, it registers as bisexual.
And I often scope around for hentai of any sort, be it regular, yuri or yaoi, I don't care, hentai is hentai.
Take that for what you will.

Without delving into my past because, quite frankly, it's MY past I have to admit I've been bisexual since I was 12. I had my 1st experience then and really liked it. I've always loved men but since then have had a strong attraction to women as well. I've always wondered what it would be like to actually do more then just make-out.
While in high school I had to hide the fact I was bi to keep the ridicul level down, as I got enough of it for being "different" looking. Now that I'm out of school, old enough to know how I feel for sure and not be afraid of it I can say, loud and proud at 24, "I'm bisexual and I love it!"
So there's my $1.00's worth. Now go buy something smile
