I know this was Chao's idea and all, but since nobody seemed to want to set it up, I am! Sorry if I upset anyone. ^^;
ANYHOO.
This is a Tall Tale Party! Why? 'Cause May 07 was Huni's ONE YEAR Gaiaversary! Yes, yes it was. And again...Why? Because I said so, and because Huni's put up with a lot of us (not that I had ANYTHING to do with this, of course. >>), and she deserves a nice party. =3
Yeah, I'm not good with introductions so...Have fun!
Happy one year, Huni! -Wavies like mad-
(( Oh yeah. I stole the main banner. DON'T EAT ME! >

"...There."
Enoh stepped back a bit, leaning her head to the side as she stared at the (few) decorations she put up. Most of her income was being put towards the supplies needed to re-build her home since the tower's fall, and thus the money she would have spent on this party was limited.
All she had managed to put together was a small table of refreshments and munchies (all of which Vidya picked out, mainly because she was so persistant about wanting to help), various coloured streamers around the room, and the shapeshifter even managed to decorate the front windows to the shop. She'd sent out invitations that Nio had found for the event as well. Not to mention a few other, still-currently secret things.
Why was she decorating the Stationary Store, you ask? Well, there was a simple answer to that; She'd heard through the grapevine that it was Huni's Gaiaversary, so the shapeshifter thought she'd take matters into her own hands and set a party for it into motion. Nobody else seemed to be doing it anyway...she might as well. Besides, Huni had a lot to put up with, considering the headache the Study tended to give her.
Okay, so she had gone slightly over budget...but who cares? She had fun with that resources she had, and she even had Vidya "helping" every now and then...which was interesting, to say the least. Oh well.
Speaking of the Blue Wonder, Vidya was off playing with her plushies, two of which Jiro had given her, and the third being Kalani. The Tale was dressed in a yellow-lined, orange kimono complete with a yellow obi, something that oddly suited her. Enoh couldn't decide if this was because Vidya liked that style of robes, or if it was the lasting effect of Jiro teaching her some words in Japanese that drove her to harass for these robes. The shapeshifter shook her head a bit as she moved towards her fiancee and child, flopping on the former's lap after making sure the way was clear.
All that was left to do now was wait.

Kira wandered into the stationary store, blinking as she looked around. She was carrying two baby carseats. Symara and Joel were blinking their bright eyes around the new surroundings. They hadn't been out of the house much since they had been born.
Kira hadn't expected things to look so fancy, but of course, she hadn't been in this shop since before the twins had been born, "Hello?"

Nio would have liked to have helped with the decorations, but, he had been told otherwise. Very forcefully I might add. Enoh had made it clear that she had wanted to put up the decorations, and after almost being bitten, Nio thought it best to sit and play with Vidya while his fiancee prettied up the place.
He had one of the dragons in his hand, currently 'attacking' the one in Vidya's. "Rararrr-oof." His cute little cries of war were stifled when Enoh flopped down atop him, and he curled his arm up around her waist, far from complaining.
"It looks beautiful sweetheart." He murmured, leaving a kiss on her neck.
He heard the door open, and tilted his head to one side to see Kira and the carseats enter. He dropped the dragon plushie carefully and used his now free hand to wave. "Allo," He singsonged, obviously in a very good mood despite his life being threatened earlier that day. <.<
Hey, at least he wasn't sleeping on the couch tonight.

Symara suddenly made a loud cooing noise and outstretched her arms in a seeming makeshift wave. Kira giggled softly at her daughter before eyeing Joel. He was still just passively looking around.
"So....what's going on here?" Kira asked, setting the carseats down and unbuckling Symara, lifting the squirming newborn up into her arms to rock her lightly. "Looks like a party."

Syrie had found the invitation, and wandered into the shop, carrying Khia with him. The kitsune had his shaggy blond hair pulled up in a clip, Khia was wearing a pair of jeans and a loose T-shirt, he also had some strange bands around his wrists - perhaps left over from karate practice?
"Oh my goodness..." The kitsune was surpised at the way Enoh had made the store look, and he was pleased - Huni deserved something nice like this.
Khia made Syrie put him down, and then went zooming around the store, looking at the food, and the decorations. "What's all this?"

The door opened after a bit and a small head with dark locks poked his head in. Giggling, Sah pushed the door open more and gliding in carrying a large plate filled with baked goods. "Yatta! We're not late!"
"Being late is such a drag.." Carrying Jiro on his shoulders, Akiya followed after his mate, carrying the invite in his free hand. "Good evening all! X3" Kali had found the invite stuck ont heir door and brought it over to Akiya to see. The twins would have come but it was one of those rare times they got to spend with Kyoi so they had gone over.

Nio aww'd at the two, forcing himself not to make baby sounds. "Yeah, it's a party all right. It's all Enoh's fault, I swear. I had nothing to do with it." If by saying this it meant he wouldn't be bitten, he was more than happy to give Enoh all the credit she deserved.
"Huni's been on Gaia a year, so we're celebrating. A noble cause, if I do say so myself."
He gave a friendly wave to each new person as they walked through the door, though he couldn't do much with the woman on his lap.. and he wasn't about to move, either. He was very happy right where he was.

Syrie had drifted away from the people in the room; he really didn't handle crowds at all...and he had a feeling that more people would be coming.
Khia, on the other hand, was everywhere. He spotted Jiro and bounced over, grinning (as much as he could) from ear to ear, tail swishing happily. "Jiro!! You came too!" The little black shapeshifter looked up at Jiro and his companions. Akiya he recognized, but the other...he didn't know at all.
"Come down, come down!" The paintbrush pontytail he'd had his silky hair in started coming down - a few strands at a time - the more he moved.

Jiro blinked as he saw Khia and smiling, was set down by Akiya so he could bounce up and down with him for a second. "Khia! I didn't think you'd be here!" heart Seeing how he was looking at the very slim male with the large wing span, he smirked. "That's my Yuhin, Sah.... and we had to come. Shouhin doesn't turn down the thought of free food >>"
"What's wrong, babe?" Akiya placed an arm about Sah's waist, studying his lost expression.
"Ano..." The Isshina looked shy as he held up his plate. "Where do I set this down?" This was the first time he had ever come here so he was feeling rather shy and out of place.

Enoh purred, leaning over to nuzzle Nio. Oh yes, his arm had been spared, and he was definately able to avoid the couch tonight. Her reasoning for threatening to bite him? She figured he'd been working hard enough trying to rebuild their home with the contractors...therefore, he should be able to rest.
That and Enoh was just one stubborn woman.
Her kitsune ears twitched as she heard the door open, leaning over to look towards Kira and the twins as they entered. Her motherly instincts were instantly brought to the surface, as she slid from Nio's lap to coo over the babies.
"Aww...they're ADORABLE. Oh! I'm Enoh...Nice to meet you!"
Ears twitching again, the shapeshifter looked around to view Syrie, giving him a welcoming grin...she hadn't the time to say anything, as Vidya took that matter into her own hands. Setting down the plushies that she'd been "fighting" her father with, she threw her arms into the air.
"KHIA! Hello, Hi!"
The tale jumped to her feet and shuffled over, though her actions were slightly awkward, as she wasn't used to wearing robes that came down to her ankles. Instantly, she threw her arms around her furry friend.
"It's'a PARTY. Viddy's never been to a party 'fore! How is Khia?"
However, both Tale and Author looked towards the door as it opened again; and while Enoh didn't recognize any of them, Vidya sure did. Gasping happily, she waddled over, picked up the two plushies that Jiro had given her, and then waddled towards him and his parents. She waved happily towards Akiya, and while she still didn't understand the whole feet thing, she was more than happy to wave. She did the same to Sah; and Vidya would have told Sah exactly what she liked about him, but she was quickly distracted as Jiro was put down.
Vidya was quick this time, in remembering to not hug Jiro in public.
"Jiro! Hello! Or ah...Konnichiwa?"
She wrinkled up her nose, still unsure of the pronounciation. In any case, she offered him one of those happy grins she always seemed to carry.
Enoh leaned her head to the side...these two definately were tall! Shaking her head with a small chuckle, the shapeshifter came to the rescue of the rather shy man. Smiling sweetly, she pointed over towards the table that held the other trays of food.
"Aww...Thank you SO much for bringing more food! That was very thoughtful of you! The food table is over there, so if you'd like to put it down...that'd be the place."
Vidya looked over her shoulder at her mother, and then back at Jiro, Akiya and the other man she didn't know yet. When she spoke to introduce, her tone was rather matter-of-factly, and very proud.
"Tha's Viddy's Mommie."

Chao was humming easily to herself as they pushed into the shop, a pair of new headphones donning her ears. Stepping aside she pulled the door open as Aido, accompanied by Rael stepped in, weighted down with several bags of food.
Chao had exempted herself from food carrying duty with the simple explanation of 'I bought and/or cooked most of it.' Besides, they were, in a fashion, her minions, so ha.
"'Allo eveyone!" she cheered, waving and fingering the headphones off, excited and in one of her better moods.
They'd have been here earlier, but the breif food shopping escapade and the fact that the invitation had been delivered only after Loki had discovered it was not, in fact, food had kept them.
Carefully placing down her bags Aido smiled at the sight of everyone currently present, waving lightly in greeting. She was wearing a pair of dark jeans instead of her skirt because they'd walked most of the walked most of the way. Anyway, who knew what could happen when all the Tales got together. Pants were probably safer.
She gave the food table and then the contents of her bags a glance, "Aemu, I think we brought too much food."
"There is no such thing as too much food," Chao said, glancing from Aido to the bags, "espically when parties with over ten young, probably hungry, tales and their guardians are involved." Actually she might've brought just as much food anyway, as she had a very limited ability to accurately predict just how much food was needed at these things. But Aido didn't need to know that. She looked over the shop, "besides, we didn't get to help with the decorations or anything else."

Huni was just speechless when she got the invitation, or rather when she saw Linneas reading in while she was in the gym. She had just gotten off the cross-trainer, and her face was nearly as red as her own hair. She muttered beneath her breath a profanity and curse at all things health-related.
But she stopped when she saw Linny reading over a pretty sheet of paper, which she learned that it was an invitiation to a party. A party for her?
The Tale had been keeping it a secret until he was sure that the party would be ready. After all, no sense in having his mother walk in to find the party not fully set up. He had wanted to help but he felt it was better if he kept his mother preoccupied long enough.
Once she finished reading and the reality of the party finally sank in, she tossed her towel to the used pile and headed for the locker room. She'd do the rest of her regimen tomorrow.
Linneas grinned as he watched his mother enter the locker room and patiently waited for her to emerge ten minutes later. Her hair was sopping wet, indicating she took a quick shower and had changed back into her regular clothes.
"Let's go mommy!" he cheered as they headed back to the store.
