HOLY CRAP! This has got to be the best slasher flick I've seen in ten years. Now I add that this movie is not for the faint of heart, mainly because of it's realism and intensity. But it's the realism and intensity of it that makes it good. If anybody else has seen this movie... Ahh! It was sooo good!

Freddy has so much more charisma though. And the movie isn't "BOO!" scary. Just very intense.

Is it that bad?
Films don't really freak me out. Although I have never seen one that people claim is "really scary".

It all depends on you definition of scary: If you think blood and guts and gore is really scary then this movie gets a "normal" score for that. If your definition is the realism of what bad people do to other people in the real world then this movie gets an "intense" score. If your definition is something jumps out of dark that you didn't see before or expect, then this movie gets an "average" score. Overall, I liked it because the characters were introduced well and I didn't expect the intense situation they happened upon. So yeah...

Scary is something that makes me scared to be alone after I have watched it. :3 I haven't seen the Grudge yet, but I hear that is pretty scary. :3

The Grudge was just kind of creepy and not to scary. But it had some "boo!" spots.

Eh, The Hills Have Eyes was mostly gorey, not scarey. It did get kinda good towards the end when the guy went to find his baby.

I actually didnt like it at all... More like... I disliked it... It's just senseless gore. Needs more plot. And theres better gore going around.

I have to disagree. More of a plot would just ruin the movie, it was fairly simple... no actually it was simple, and that's all it needed. Whenever you have a slasher you need some key things: 1) A killer (this is that guy with the machete, or razor-bladed glove, or in this case deformations caused by nuclear fallout) 2) Victims (these are your random camp kids, or the Elm St. teens, or a simple family on vacation) 3) A corner (that's Camp Crystal Lake, or your dreams or a huge desert with nothing in every direction) And with those things yo can make a slasher: you get your victims in the corner with the killer, let the killer terrorize them for a while and then let the victims get some form of revenge and then end it somehow. Wash, rinse and repeat. --- And the gore wasn't there to be gross, it was there to be real... and buddy I haven't seen a shotgun to the head that real since... well you don't want to know...
