I don't get how he doesn't realize Hinata has a crush on him, especially when he has Sakura the drooling Sasuke fan in his team.

Yeah seriously. Like, I don't hate sakuxsasu but sometimes I wish at least Naruto would you know like have a conversation with her or something.

xD Well, Naruto's DENSE. That, and I think he just hasn't really thought about it.
- Naruto's mind has never been on romance much. In part 1, his thoughts were always on "Hokage!" or "Sakura-chan." In part 2, he only thinks about bringing Sasuke home. Those are his main focuses.
- Hinata's a shy person. Naruto's seen Hinata being quiet with her teammates, so when she's shy around him, he just finds it not surprising. Yes, it's terribly obvious by the way she blushes and all, but since nobody else is shy, he finds it weird. He claims that Hinata is a "weird" girl several times.
He'll notice it, but it won't be until Sasuke's back, and whether or not Sakura's feelings on Naruto and Saske are cleared up.

Every time I visit her she says 'Why haven't you gotten a boyfriend yet? What's wrong with you?!). like when he said to her face "I've always thought you were pretty weird and quiet." It's a good thing he continued on to say he liked that... Otherwise there would have been blood to spill for breaking Hinata's heart! ninja But I completely agree with the Part 1 sentiment. I mean, all the characters were twelve and Naruto was really the only male one who reminded me of a normal middle school boy.

He knows enough to look like one pretty damn well. As for the less....tangible parts of being female... Well, c'mon, the boy's head is like rock. We're talking dense. Give him some time, he'll come around.

Well, I think Naruto is just simple-minded. He isn't really focused on such things. He did liked Sakura and all and was aware of her affection towards Sasuke but, that wasn't really his main goal. Naruto is just clueless. He doesn't really see things the way they are and he's awlays focused on something to even care. If Hinata told him about her love for him, he may see her differently.

He just isn't mature enough to really think of anything else when it comes to romance. (I've only seen pt 1, by the way)

In Part 1, I would say he was just being a kid. Girls mature faster than boys. A lot of the girls were going crazy over guys, while most of the guys didn't really care. Girls were probably the farthest thing from his mind (with the exception of Sakura).
In Part 2, I'd just say he has too much on his mind already, with Sasuke and all that. HOPEFULLY, they'll drag Sasuke's sorry rear back at some point so we can finally get some pairings. XD

Hee. Naruto's understanding of girls are superficial. Especially after two and a half years training with Jiraiya. Konoha's biggest perv.
Hopefully, Naruto will notice Hinata( only if she makes herself known. D: ) after Sasuke is forcefully dragged by the ear back.

But just because he spent two and half years training with a super pervert doesnt mean he wanted to listen and or read what he was saying and or writing...Although I was reading ahead ( when Naruto gets back after the three years) and he found Kakashi and started to talk to him about the new Icha Icha Paradise ( or come come or something i DONT KNOW ) and
said that he had it for him..I think by that time Naruto had already read it...
.......Geez, I just proved myself wrong, huh?
