Shui VS Absol!

Shui was released from the Pokeball to swim around in the waters at the beach. He splashed and flailed and was generally having a good time really. The water was shallow and clear here and there was nothing around that looked as if it was going to eat him. That made his trainer relaxed too. The last thing she wanted was for her precious Magikarp to end up an entree.

"Karp! Karpkarp Magikarp!" He called out getting the attention of Rayne who was sitting on a towel at the beach enjoying the warm sun and sand. She glanced over at him thinking that he was just trying to get her to look at him and watch him. Her grey eyes went huge with surprise when she saw exactly what he was doing. And she panicked.

Shui was far to serious for a Magikarp, and not only was he serious he was seriously delusional. He thought that he was a lot stronger then he was, thought he could fight like his evolutionary form could and thus had the tendency to challenge things he shouldn't. She started running towards him as quickly as she could, "NO! Shui! You leave that wild Absol alone!" She called.

It seemed though that the repeated splashings weren't about to go unnoticed and unpunished as the Absol, a surprisingly brightly green color for a Dark type Pokemon, turned towards Shui her emerald colored eyes narrowing, "Ab absol. Sol." She snarled at the fish and took a lunge at him..

"Shui!" Rayne cried as she splashed into the water to scoop up the Magikarp and was tackled into the deeper water by the Absol who hit the trainer instead of the Magikarp by accident. Rayne squeaked as she was pushed under and swam back a little bit before surfacing. Her eyes went to the Absol who had landed back on the shore not even geting her feet wet as she had bounced off of Rayne.

"Absol! I am so sorry. Please you have to forgive him!" She said giving the Magikarp a look, "He's a little bit..." She couldn't find the right word to describe what Shui was that wouldn't offend the fish Pokemon as the first one to come to mind was 'dense'.

"Sol. Ababsol." She said shaking off the bit of water that clung to her from Shui's splashing about but she seemed almost to understand. Rayne sighed in relief as the Absol sat down on the bank watching the two in the water closely. Rayne stood up and set Shui back into the water to swim freely and rubbed at her shoulder.

"You have one heck of a tackle there Absol." She said with a laugh, "Gotta say I am quite impressed."

The Absol looked Rayne over as the girl left the water, dripping her way across the sand to sit back down on the blanket. Then she walked over towards Rayne encircling her a few times for reasons unknown. Rayne merely reached into her bag and pulled out a hand full of M&Ms and held them out, "Want some?"

Absol's eyes got wide, "Ab?" She crouched down a bit and inched her way forward and batted a paw against Rayne's hand sending the candies flying so that she could got over to them. She sniffed them, inspected them, and finally deeming them safe she ate a couple. Then growled. Would taste better without the sand that stuck to them. She glanced over watching as the girl got a few more again holding them out.

"They are safe no need to worry." She said and proved it by eating a couple herself.

"Absol!" She hurried over taking them out of her hand and swallowed them down barely chewing. They tasted quite good, enough to make the Absol wonder what else the woman had in the back. There was a tap of metal against metal, then a flash of red light as Absol got pulled into one of the balls that sat in the bottom of the bag. Rayne let out a squeek and looked inside, rather surprised then the light blinked indicating that the Absol had been caught.

She should have been able to escape the ball right? Had she wanted to that was. She tilted her head picking the ball up,"Come out Absol." She said. And the Dark Pokemon appeared before her, "You want to stay with us?" She asked.

She nodded, "Ab. Absol. Ab." Then she threw a narrowed eye glare towards Shui.

"I will do what I can to keep him from splashing you. Though you could always just splash back." Rayne told her then reached a hand out and gently pet the Absol's soft, lime green fur, "Now you know what you need? A name. Hmmm. What about Alanor? I've always liked that one."

She seemed to be thinking it over then nodded, "Absol!"

Rayne smiled, "Good. Alanor it is." She said then reached into her back getting out another towel, laying it out so that Alanor had something to lay on.

Lapras who was quickly dubbed Shimmer due to her sparkly skin did very much make moving from place to place a lot easier. She was really fast, they could skip by a lot of stuffs, and they could get to some of the more remote areas. It was a good things too as here they were over looking a small herd of Ponyta.

Rayne was scanning the group of them when her eyes landed on of that was colored in shades of blue and yellow, "Oh! Blue and yellow, how cool!" She said out loud, "I rather like that one."

Alanor lifted her head up from her little argument with Shui in the bucket to look at Rayne, looked over towards the Ponyta then lunged forward into a full out run. Rayne let out a squeak of surprise. Oh right. That rash nature again coming into play she thought to herself. She had to learn to keep her thoughts to herself at times.

But now she watched to see what would happen as the Absol jumped into the ranks of the Ponyta going after the one that was pointed out by her trainer. She dodged back and forth and between them doing well enough to only get the smallest of wounds as she herded the blue and yellow one away from the rest of the group.

Rayne looked at Shui a moment then grabbed hold of the bucket and the ball that had Shimmer in it and hurried forward towards the chaos of milling Ponyta. Soon enough the group was heading off while the other was being chased in circles by the Absol.

Then it was charging towards them. Shui gave a loud, resound, "Karp!" And jumped out of the bucket and slammed into the Ponyta. It caused minimal damage but enough to slow it down a couple steps and Absol ran ito its side sending the two of them flying.

Rayne threw a Pokeball at the Ponyta and knelt down at the same time to scoop up Shui and hugged the fish, "Good job, very good job. Kept me from being trampled. Your such a good Magikarp aren't you Shui. And here I was thinking you didn't know much more then Splash." She laughed.

Shui looked up at her with big, happy sparkly eyes, "karpkarp." He said happily. Then both turned as Alanor walked over, its spike looking tail wagging a bit as it brought the pokeball, Ponyta within to Rayne.

She smiled and pulled Alanor into the hug, "Ahh. Your both my heros." She said happily then took the ball from her and looked it over and hugged it before letting out the Ponyta to look it over, "How are you feeling?"

"Tata." It said with a shrug then started to prance in place, "Poooony!" It said looking the group over that he had been caught by, not a bad group he had to admit.

Rayne smiled, "What do you think of the name Gallop? You seem quite good at it."

That seemed to get the fire horse all that much more excited as it started running circles around her. She gave a happy laugh, "Gallop it is. Whew. I don't know about the rest of yas but I'm beat. Lets go find somewhere to sit shall we?" She said and led the way after returning Shui to his bucket.
