Skinner Office Structure ~----Objectives----~ Don't let our fuel depot fall into enemy hands. Shades will more than likely gather around the lakeside ruins. Those fields could potentialy turn a profit.
Unbelievable! We're accustomed to acts of sabatoge from those Villagers, but the Shades turning against us so soon was not what we had expected. The dam had been our last hope at a peaceful resolution, to drive the villagers to leave of their own will when the water dried up, but now it seems we are at war. However, the dam is still a valuable resource to our side, and a bane to the village.
The Shades appear to be marching around a large and powerful creature. It seems that their intention is to shatter the dam at the base and cause it to fall. The dam is sturdy, but not sturdy enough to withstand more than a dozen blows from a siege machine so powerful. Stop them and turn them back. Destroy the siege creature and protect the dam!
The Villagers have no such weapon at their disposal. They will probably resort to placing explosives, instead. Probably near the top of the dam to blast it apart. Get up there and keep them from setting up that bomb!
A group of mercenaries is coming in from Durem, but they won't arrive for several hours. Make sure to protect the dam until these mercenaries arrive to relieve you.
Did you see the light yesterday? That shining beacon of destruction that destroyed our dam? I want that light. I want that power for our side.
Our spies intercepted a message from the Shades, talking of a beacon of light, hidden somewhere in the mountains. An object of great power, so great that great lengths must be taken to even remove it from its resting place.
Retrieve that object. Even if we can't use it, we can't let the enemies get ahold of it. Keep it in your possession and away from the enemies until the magic which draws it towards the ruins in the center of the vale has faded. The office structure is arguably the largest single building in the camp. Arguably, as it is actually several buildings connected together by a series of catwalks. Among these buildings are various offices and planning rooms, inventory rooms and human resources files. The armory is here, in a well constructed building (probably the most solid of all of them) near the back of the camp. The second level is mainly catwalks and rooftops, several buildings connected together and accessable through ladders, in most parts, or by a set of stairs located below Skinner's own office. One more level above that is Skinner's private chambers, the only building in the camp with a 3rd level. This is accessible only by climbing the stairs in the office, or by managing a way onto the balcony on the south face of the building.

"Oh dear oh dear oh my, this certainly isn't right, no, no it can't be right at all, it can't..." the Quartermaster mumbled things hastily to himself as he sat in a small room, boarded up windows but the door was wide open. He was going over papers and charts, trying to keep on top of the books.
There would be a lot of ammunition dolled out in the next few hours, he needed to keep track of it all.

Jacob exited the largest building in the camp, a small writ in one hand, a boxy black radio in the other. It's carry-strap, a ribbed polymer of some sort, wrapped around the back of his hand, and a larger strap hung loosely almost to the ground. The hand with the paper in it also secured the duffle to his shoulder.
He was free; the quartermaster granting admission in his previous captors temporary absence. He wasn't entire certain whether or not it was official-- and he was staying out of the way of the 'too-hot-too-handle' chick he'd seen before-- but for now he was set. As for now, he set off at a steady pad towards the western side of the camp, where he could see vehicles, toggling some of the Radio's controls with one hand. Apparently, Skinner owned a small fuel-outpost... which was currently begging to be taken by the enemy. As he walked, he tried a few channels, looking to hear something interesting.

"Okay... um... twenty should do. Don't you think?" the Quartermaster spoke into a radio on his desk, talking to a foreman at the other end of the camp. He was busy arguing over how many guards could be spared from the tenative camp defenses in order to hold territory further into the Vale.

Across the speakers in the QMs office a message would break through the general noise that happened durring the initial beginnings of a war.
"This is Quin, requesting troops for the fuel depot. Repeating asking for additional troops to fortify the fuel depot."

Jacob stopped, perhaps fifteen feet from the door, having caught the message between his ears and the radio. He turned and moved back into the building, rapping on the doorway as he moved through it. "Hey, I've got to get moving myself... How about I head out with your men?"

"Oh, perfect, that's right... You, take these men and escort them to the Fuel Depot past the cut area!"
The Quartermaster pointed to a small group of 22 men who had gathered behind Jacob.

Sam nodded. "Simplest way really, seeing as how my bike was destroyed." She gave the quartermaster a dirty look as if blaming him, but nodded cordially to Jacob. "KISS."

Jacob smiled and spoke through the grin, "Will do." It wasn't unfitting his face, but it wasn't joyous either. He heard his own words, and corrected himself. "I'll definitely do it."
[edit]He didn't know how to respond to the newest arrival, so settled for what he knew. What came from his mouth was a relatively indifferent "Yo" followed by a half-laughed comment of, "You're a character. C'mon." [/edit]
With that he turned, and waved an arm in a broad gesture towards the west side of the camp, the warehouses. "Move it!"

And it seems they were off. Sam wasn't expecting this to be pleasant, war never was. But she was damned well going to get some answers, that's for sure. But she followed behind, amused greatly at the dump truck holding so many people. as if they truly were 'Non pertinant chaps'

This message would be delivered via radio contact to forces out in the field, and forces stationed in camp. Quote: Unbelievable! The radio came to life again, with Ivan Emtwelve's deep voice this time. "Base Camp, this is Ivan Emtwelve. Be advised that the plains are being heavily fortified with earthworks for a charge. The fortifications are being constructed by a large group of shades. Recommend alternative means of assault. Proceeding to the Ruins. Over."

The radio began to crackle and fizzle as a broken message came through. The gist of the message was still there though and all the major information was fine and clear. Hein Griever to Q.uartermaster "Q...this is Hein Griever. My current location...is the western bank of the Sunrise River. Send back-up immediatly...back-up...and workers to claim the area...Hein, out."

Leaning against the door to the QMs office Quin looked about. In the maze of offices this was the only one that was easy to find. The trail of aids moving as quickly as they could made it a dead give away.
Looking along the wall he saw a large map and moved over to it. Before turning to the QM.
"I need men, trucks, and explosives. Perhaps some oil as well."
With that stated he began to lay out his plan of pouring oil into the river and letting it travel down stream before setting it on fire, or just letting it sit and then light it at a latter time. He also pointed out the caves and how they could set up demolitions charges.
But the last thing he noted was the strange object he found in a cave, he didn't know what it ment, but that it could hold a value of some sort. Museums would pay for that sort of thing and private collectors even more.
"There's no room for trucks up in the pass, so we'll need enough men or smaller vehicles with us to get supplies up there. We need to take ground and prove that we aren't done."
