Alright I'm starting a riddle of the day feature. Technically it could be any kind of brain teaser but riddle sounds pretty good. So without further ado, here's your first riddle:
A man and his son were on a tour of an atomic power plant. In the control room, the boy asked if he could see the controls for the reactor core. The head physicist said yes, and explained how the controls worked. After the boy left, the head physicist turned to an assistant and said, "That was my son." How could that be?
Answer to be revealed when I post the next riddle.
*Update* Please post all guesses in white text so that other people can easily avoid seeing the answer accidentally.

Looks like you've got two riddles to solve today! Check Sam's post just above this one for a riddle because the one I'm giving you today is a real mind bender. This riddle is all logic, no tricks or misdirection ivolved. Just take it all at face value and believe me, it may not seem like it but all the information you need is there.
There are the following cards in a drawer:
Spades: 6, 8, 9, J, Q, K Diamonds: 3, 5, 6, 10, A Clubs: 2, 6, 8, 9, J, K Hearts: Q, K, A
Two men, Bob and Ted both know all the cards in the drawer. A third man, Joe picks a card out of the drawer, he tells Bob the card’s suit and he tells Ted the card’s number. Here is the conversation that follows:
Ted: I don’t know what the card is.
Bob: I know you don’t know what the card is.
Ted: Now I know what the card is.
Bob: So do I.
Which card was picked?
