The new PA Story Written by Tindzel Crono
Another normal day in the world known as GAIA. Millions of people inhabited this small world, and more then half of these people spent their time in Barton Town. Barton was a peacefully 'little' community, featuring a coliseum, clothing shops, jewelry store, and once featuring a personals building (it was shut down, however, when too many people went in, planning on getting some *ahem* 'action').
However, one of the more interesting features of the town was the Guilds building. A place where inhabitants of the GAIA world could meet friends, have fun, and earn gold by doing some easy tasks. From the main guilds building, there were 'portals' that lead to several guilds. Some for people who liked anime, some for people who liked video games, and some for people who just wanted to hang around.
One of these portals led to tiny community known as "The Polling Alley", a nice place, population 497. That number, of course, is judged by the number of 'guild cards' the guild has sold. It's a fair estimate, considering some people have never stepped foot inside, while others treated the place like a cathedral. The story about how this quaint little place formed has a slightly long history...a story for another day. However, a tale was unveiling itself, as treacherous deeds were being committed in the place that led to the birth of The Polling Alley.
"What do you plan to achieve by this, crotch pheasant?!" angrily screeched a man with the color scheme of blue. He had short and bright blue hair that went down to his shoulders, and wore a suit (the color blue, of course). He was strung up in mid air, leather strands wrapping around his wrists and ankles, all attached to the corners of a room. In front of him paced a figure with short blue hair, as well. However, unlike the man, had red eyes that would match the color of blood, and a big fluffy tail that matched the one a raccoon had (people who saw it thought it was a cute touch, while those who knew this shadow figured it was a sign of cowardice).
"Just personal revenge, my dear." The figure replied with a hint of hate, its voice definitely feminine. "You embarrassed me that day, and angered me as well. I am to be treated as a GODDESS, says my name, along with Kesshutsu. It?s one of the rules, ya' know."
"I only see you as a cold b***h, you b***h." The man replied, a scowl in his voice, ready to lunge forward and attack her. However, the leather was pulled tight, giving him very little maneuverability.
"Swearing is also against the rules. You used to be here all the time. You think you would've learned," she started, now walking towards the man. She got in front of him and hovered upwards, her red orbs meeting his friendly blue, and continued, yelling, "WOULD'VE LEARNED, THAT WHAT WE SAY, GOES!"
"Just like a dictatorship," he shot back calmly, resisting the urge to bite her. She was close enough.
"Ugh...you never learn, Jengi. Never ever." The blood eyed woman replied, lowering herself and paced again, her forehead in her palm. "No matter. By tomorrow, you'll learn to respect me. Learn to respect those with more power."
The man known as Jengi sighed himself. "I was hoping a few months ago you would've realized that won't happen. You AREN'T higher then me, DG. You may be co-operator of PC, but in the world of GAIA, you're just another citizen."
"Guess where you are now? In my element. PC." DG scornfully replied, knowing she had power in this realm, her guild. "And, while you stay here, you WILL learn to have respect for Goddesses. I'll make damn sure of that."
With that final word, the woman turned and hit a light switch, killing what little illumination was in the room, and she vanished, leaving the man strung up.
"How did I get into this mess?" he pondered silently, sighing again. He would rather of been in the Von Helson mansion, moments before it was smashed by the Tower of Gambino, then in this dark room strung up to the wall by the woman known as 'DG'.
~
The Polling Alley. Today seemed to be a good day for them. One of the members had taken it upon himself to make the gold supply for the day. He wore and blue and white cap over his short grey hair, and wore a pair of square glasses. He had buck teeth with a gap, in which he inhaled the fumes from his cigarette, something he always seemed to have. No shirt, though a necklace hung around his neck, shining a brilliant white color, and a similar ornament was tight around his wrist. He wore tight white pants, and around his ankles were golden bracelets that held little wings in place, and finally, a pair of blue and white shoes that matched his cap. The other guild members knew this man as "Dark Kaioshin". The main reason he was called Dark Kaioshin rather then just "Kaioshin" were his horns. Those who could afford and be willing to participate in the ritual to achieve demon horns usually were the kind who didn't care much for others. Whether or not that was the case, he always simply stated, "They just look cool."
Well, also on in the guild that day were Tindzel, Crono(Who was easily the best), Suzaka, and, of course, Lord TinDragon. The original founder of the guild, Pollie Anna had been mysteriously absent ever since the ball from a few months ago. Of course, she was believed to be one of the co-operators of the guild, Gin, in disguise. In any case, as D.K. made the gold (keeping some for himself, of course), and the other followed behind him, picking it up and stuffing it in their pockets. Things proceeded as normal, until an unexpected visit occurred.
The girl had green hair, and was always dressed differently, but something not always different was the toy kitty she always dragged around. Many didn't recognize her until she spoke, as he voice always left a good impression on the mind. "Hey, guys. Somethin' weird is goin' on at Poll Central." She spoke in a slightly quiet tone.
Suzaka twitched. The woman in clad blue HATED that phrase, "Poll Central". It had something to do with the past, and whenever it was brought up she went on a rampage that could not be stopped...until, of course, the others calmed her down with hugs and pictures of hearts and other friendly and loving gestures. "Noshi, you know I don't like that." She said in a calm tone. The others saw that she was almost ready to explode.
"Sorry, Suzaka. But it's really weird...I saw Jengi there, in a post with DG. He wasn't yelling, neither." She replied in a dual apologetic and worried tone. D.K. stopped making gold, and everyone stopped following.
"...You ARE kidding, right?? TinDragon spoke up. The words 'Jengi' and 'DG' should have NEVER been used in a sentence together unless there was something negative about it. This entire hubbub relates back to the story from long ago, involving the two.
"If I was, why would I have this?" she asked rhetorically, holding up a photograph. Almost like rats to a piece of cheese(Except Crono, for he was like a kickass mongoose), the pollers scurried over to the photo, blinked, and looked again.
The image was, by their standards, horrible. Jengi was standing inside the PC building, grinning and holding up a "peace" sign, DG and ML (the other co-operator) standing on both sides of him, grinning. It looked like a picture straight out of an anime.
"That could've been photoshopped!" Tindzel declared. He always did enjoy messing around with pictures and computers. He remembers at one point he took a few photos, opened up photoshop, and minutes later he had a fake picture of TinDragon and Suzaka kissing. It didn't go over too well with the two, but he sure as hell thought it was funny.
"Why would I do that?" Noshi asked, sounding a little annoyed.
"Well, remember that time Tindzel made that fake picture of Suzaka and me kissing?" TinDragon asked, blushing a little, along with Suzaka. They both quickly turned to Tindzel, who had already sunk into a little ball.
"You actually think that I would come in here and show you a picture of Jengi screwing around with DG and ML, and expect it to go over as funny?"
SUPER Silence.
"Exactly," She continued, feeling a smug look form on her face. "Listen, I dunno what this is, but I suggest some of us go check it out."
"I'm banned, remember?" Suzaka stated, almost with pride in her voice.
"Yeah, but Crono, who is by far my favorite, Tindzel, and D.K. aren't." TinDragon shot back. Although not having to have to go into PC may be a good thing, TinDragon knew it would be damn near essential. Everyone there knew that Jengi despised PC, and foul play had obviously been about. Jengi in a photo with DG and ML not looking like he ready to claw out someone's eyeballs meant something was wrong. Next thing they knew, Bana would come in waving a picture of Suzaka having a tea party with the two co-operators.
"Right," she remembered, "Well, will you three do it?" Suzaka asked with a glint of remorse in her voice. Asking someone to go into PC, in her opinion, was like asking a little kitten to go face to face with an alpha male wolf. Something to that effect, anyway.
All three replied yes. TinDragon and Suzaka nodded happily.
"Be careful, guys." TinDragon reminded them. "Something is wrong, and the same as what happened to Jengi could happen to you. "
Tindzel and D.K. shuddered, while Crono stood content. He, like Noshinima, had spent lots of time in both guilds. All three, lined up in a row marched towards the guild portal, and walked out. Noshi had turned her head to watch them walk out, then she looked back at Suzaka and TinDragon. Something was wrong, and the two mods could sense it. However, she stayed silent and the blue themed woman took D.K.'s place in making gold. ~
