The highlight of my wasted summer...my first concert...and my first time seeing System live!! Well, anyways...I shall explain the wonderful day. There was many a-stoner/drunk ******** at OzzFest. Quite amusing. While we were waiting in line for tickets (since it was really hot...) some guy trhew off his shirt and jumped in the fountain in front of Nissan...and got kicked out. And, while we were walking around, there were people offering two signed posters, and showing their tits for a rolling paper.
Guy: ~standing on a bench~ I, shall give you two signed poster, and she'll show you her tits, for a rolling paper.
Girl: Like, I'll show you my tits for a rolling paper.
n_n; Anyway, let's talk about the music...The second stage kicked a**! I loved Walls of Jehrico, and especially Bad Acid Trip. Did you know that Bad Acid Trip's label is Serjical Strike? surprised I thought that was really neat. And ironic, since I really wanted to see 'em. Then, when Black Label Society came on, they threw balls at the audience, and we caught one! Then, Ozzy came on. I'd have to say Ozzy kicked major a**. I heard that he wasn't so good at other peformances...He played like, seven songs for us... <3 And I was right upfront in the pit. Anyway, to mainstage. I wasn't lucky enough to have pit tickets, but I was pretty close. When I came in (though I missed Dragonforce) I got to hear the Lacuna Coil, Disturbed, A7x, and Hatebreed, all of which kicked a**. (Except for A7x. There performance kind of sucked. =/) Then finally, the stage went dark, and Daron's voice filled the pavillion, singing the Soldier Side Intro. Then, they exploded into BYOB. I'd have to say that Serj, Daron, and Shavo were very full of energy. whee Shavo, I saw, was having a 'smoke cloud' contest with a person in the pit. He'd blow a cloud, then the people in the pit would, trying to make a bigger one. Daron made a short speech about how we're here to celebrate, drink liquior, smoke a little pot. (or, as he said, in his case, alot of pot.) And all we were thinking about is where we parked the ******** car when we get outside. For Cigaro, Daron gave a long, slow introduction. MYYY COOOCK ISSS MUUCH BIGGER THAN YOOOOURS' he said it clearly, loudly, and...the look upon my mom's face was priceless. biggrin Harry Parry(or whatever his name is) came onstage sometime during Violent Pornography. And, after one of their songs, Daron held a note for like, 2 minutes...And, at one point he was, what I can describe as dry humping his guitar on the ground. I especially loved Sugar 'Just Ice Cream! I licked everyone! I'm away ******** you and your mother!!' But, yeah...The whole day was awesome... Except for after System. I got a scolding from my mom for listening to an 'Anti-American' band... mad But, I couldn't say anything back, because then, we would've got in an argument, and I was tired as hell. I wanted to say, "Are they Anti-American because they're against the war and Bush? That be the case, we have alot of Anti-American hypocrits. All those bands were against the war and Bush." Why must my mom hate System? But...Other than that, I had a great time. ^^
By the way, I was there with Kevin(Nivek92) and, I think I'm going to go out and buy Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Hatebreed, and Bad Acid Trip's CDs. ^^
