Shee was tugging on her hair impatiently while she waited for one of the newest recruits they had to come join her in the atrium. He was due for his first mission and Wraith has decided that she was going to join him, since he was so new and all. She was quite looking forward to this mission, as they were going to meet Maita, one of her favorite people. Peru was just nice in general, being one of the most peaceful countries in the world. She squeaked as some of the creamy yellow jasmine blossoms tumbled out of her braids and fell onto the stone floor. She bent down to retrieve them.

Shane took long lazy strides into the atrium. There was a chance that he was late for his meet, but that served him just as well as anything else. There'd been a rather fine amount of ale that had needed a good home and he welcomed it gladly.
Spying his probable partner, he stopped a moment to appreciate the view. If the mission turned out to be little more than a bore, at least the company would be worth the time. By memory's recollection that was Shee, one of the co-founders, or some such thing.
"Aye, you be waiting for me then?" His Irish came out strong as he stepped up next to her. "Sorry, had a bit of stop before catching up here." He grinned rather charmingly and shifted his stance to get a better look at her. "What's it that we be doing this mission?"
((I'm avoiding addressing any of his physical characteristics as I don't know them yet.))

((I've decided on Shane's appearance, so I can tell you a bit of it. He's going to have medium-ish black hair and... blue eyes, I believe? Whatever you wanted on the form. He'll be wearing a leine (long shirt), trews (really tight pants) that button up from the back and a vest/jacket thing. Not very descriptive, I know, but it's hard to explain and I don't have a digital sketch yet.))
Shee stood up and fastened the jasmine blossoms back into her hair. As she straightened, she saw a tall, dark-haired man walking towards her.
He grinned at her; she smiled back at him.
"Are you Shane then? I suppose you are. Hmm..." She quickly turned and grabbed the file lying on the ledge behind her. Opening it, she saw that this was most probably Shane. He had black hair like he was supposed to, and he looked Irish like he was supposed to. Wraith has made tiny notes in the margin that were unintelligible for the most part, but seemed to be telling her to stay at least a meter away from the man at all times. Or something like that.
"Well, for this mission, we'll be going to Peru to retrieve a letter from a man named Auqui Maita. He lives quite deep in the Andes, so it'll be a bit of a chore to get there. Wraith has arranged for a jet to take us to Peru, of course, but it won't take us all the way to his doorstep, unfortunately."

"Aye, I'd be Shane. It's glad I am to meet you. Shee isn't it?" So she had a file on him? He itched to know what it said, but refrained from tearing it out of her hands, somehow that would seem rather rude and would more than likely leave a bad impression of himself.
"Peru is it?" He ran a hair through his black locks and tried to bring to mind any information he knew about Peru. Well, his tastes ran to Peruvian coffee, maybe that stood for something? "Sure, and we'll be getting a taste of adventure in there somewhere then."
He'd never seen the Andes, so the aspect of searching through them to find one man looked to be quite a challenge. "Well, let's be off then, and hope we don't freeze to our deaths looking for this man." Again he grinned and gestured for her to lead the way.

((Sorry... people were being unbelievably annoying.))
"Yes, it's Shee!" She nodded enthousiastically. Clutching the file, she motioned for Shane to follow her as she walked to a door on the far side of the atrium. Opening it, she continued into the hangar, where a small, white jet was waiting. Running up to it, she waved at the pilot standing in front of the plane. Shee ruffled through the file and handed him a sheet of paper. Motioning again to Shane, she opened the jet's door and slid in.

Following with his sauntering stride, he studied her enthusiasm and joy and found it oddly refreshing. The hanger was huge and he took a moment to marvel at it the way he always did. It wasn't everyday a gent from the green isle found himself in such a grand space.
Nodding once to the pilot, he entered and sat himself next to Shee. The girl was as pretty as you please and her hair smelled lovely, if he did say so himself. With a swift move he shut the door and began to buckle himself in.
"Er... How far away are the andes? In the way of time I mean."

Shee nodded to the pilot as the door slid shut. She didn't want to waste any time. As the jet started slowly towards the exit, she turned to face Shane.
"Well, it shouldn't take us more than a few hours. We're lucky; we have state of the art transportation at our disposal."
Shee yawned. It probably would have been a good idea to have gotten more sleep the night before.

In his head, he knew that LOTUS was well funded but it continually amazed him that they had so much... state of the art stuff. Sure, and he felt it too when the jet cleared the exit and took off like a bullet. At this rate, it surely wouldn't take more than a few hours.
"Tired much?" He asked cocking his head to the side. A body could get used to seeing that sleepy face. "Set yourself down for a nap girly. I'd wager that you'll have a need to be alert once we arrive." Being the nice gent that he was, he casually offered his shoulder for her to rest on.

"Why thank you!"
Shee ducked down and retrieved a large, fluffy pillow from beneath the seat. Wraith had put it there for her after she'd fallen asleep on five consecutive flights.
Lodging it in between herself and the man's shoulder, she set her head down onto it.
"Wake me up when we get there, OK?"

"It's not a problem." Getting himself cozy in the seat, he prepared for the long trip. Twas a bit of a shame that sleep wouldn't follow him to the andes. The trip would pass faster and it'd serve well to sleep off the drink he'd taken before leaving.
Still, he contented himself with watching Shee sleep, there was a sweetness about it that he didn't mind enjoying. For the most of the trip he spent it watching the clouds and glimpses of land. Flying fascinated the man, the way people were able to rise up and go beyond the birds. It was times like these that had him at peace, here, in the air, there were no worries, they were all left below on the ground.
Well, perhaps the fear of falling was still there, but he tried to avoid thinking such things.
Hours past, and watched as the sky changed colors and light fractured through the clouds turning them a dusty pink. The great mountains were approaching and quickly. Soon they'd land and start the trek to the man's home.
Wanting to give the girl a few moments to wake up before landing, he gently ran a hand through Shee's soft hair. "Tis time to wake up girly, we're almost there."

Shee's eyelids fluttered for a moment before she pushed the hand away and turned over, muttering, "five more minutes..."
She supposed she really should get up now and act like a proper LOTUS member, but planes always put her to sleep.
The plane had come to a full stop, and Shee could hear the pilot descending out of the cockpit and landing on the soft, welcoming earth of Peru. She groaned.

Shane barely supressed a soft chuckle. This body was not one who'd wake easily in the morning. Nudging her a bit, he laid a hand on her shoulder to rouse her. "C'mon there love, we'll not want to miss what daylight we have left us."
He un-buckled and worked with the door to get it open. The moment it slid free, the wind rushed through into the cabin. Cold as the devil and twice as wicked, Shane let out a minor curse. "Beggin' your pardon." He mumbled out of habit as there was a female present.

Sitting up, Shee attempted to smooth out the wrinkles in her clothes. Failing miserably, she looked towards Shane as he opened the cabin door.
"Well, you're right. We really should get going."
The cold wind whistled past her. Shee had learned to get used to the cold, having lived in a different, but just as cold, mountain range for quite a while now. She tried to suppress a grin as she saw the effect it had on Shane.

The wind bit and nipped at him as he exited the plane and he fought the urge to curse it again. The sooner they found this man's home the better as far as he was concerned. Sure, and they had a bit of cold spell every now and then in Ireland, and the LOTUS base wasn't exactly tropical, but damn this was no place he'd care to spend a holiday.
Cold weather or no though, a man'd have to have blood of ice to not notice the signifcant rumpled look Shee was sporting. Believing that silence was golden, he refrained from commenting on such. "Alright then, which way are we due to go?"
