Kubikiri Asaemon had his head tucked low under his straw hat as he walked through the gates to Valvon's capitol. Rising ivory and stone pillars greeted him, the streets pristine and a bustle of movement throughout the town. It would have been a fine day indeed, but he was being lead to his death by two large guards, dragon anthros. He wasn't cocky enough to test if they could breath fire or not. People looked to him and gasped, murmuring as he was led down the cobbled streets.

"Yeesh, there he goes..Looks like the famous head-chopper Asaemon is about to get his just desserts.." a merchant whispered to a customer; answering back the two commoners proceeded to gossip on Kubikiri "He's out from Seiru I hear, their shogun's daughter accused him of trying to seduce her-- it wouldn't have ended up so bad as I hear he wasn't really guilty, but he took it to so much offense he resisted arrest and killed all nine of the Toraekku police." The merchant's eyes widened a bit "Nine Toraekku? That Asaemon..He's a demon! I hope he doesn't come back to haunt our city..You think he tried to seduce the shogun's daughter?" The customer waved his hand "No way, that guy's built on rigid honor, it's why he killed those policemen.." The merchant scoffed and leaned into the counter "Those some screwed up sense of honor.."

Asaemon looked to the two with a gaze of stone, the pair immediately freezing in terror before continuing their business in silence. Kubikiri looked to the castle closing in on the horizon, if he played this right he may be able to call Qaerol and be allowed to live..But what would they make him do?

(Qaerol is a form of pardon where the criminal may undergo some perilous quest under knight surveilance, completing the quest meant he had atoned and balanced his evil with good. Qaerol can only be employed once, multiple offenders are given no quarter)
