From the s::l mL:
Oct. 5 is a busy release date in the US and for Japanese artists in particular, according to ICE magazine.
mono releases "Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined" on the Temporary Residence label that day. (Explosions in the Sky are labelmates.) On Oct. 19, Temporary Residence reissues "One More Step and You Die" and releases in the US (for the first time) the remix album, "New York Soundtrack".
Utada Hikaru, going under her family name Utada, releases her English-language debut, "Exodus".
Both mono and Utada albums have already been released in Japan.
Tofu Records is also releasing "Japan for Sale, Vol. 4". Amazon.com has a track listing, and it's pretty good, stacked more toward rock than electronica:

Holy crap the new Japan for Sale is good. The obscurity of some bands surprised me though. I mean, Mean Machine?! s**t's crazy!
And the Tokyo Jihen album. That's probably going to be a no-brainer for me.
Uh... The Back Horn is releasing some junk on November 3, a single called Cobalt Blue and a DVD called Bakuen Yumehanabi.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation will release both a new album and DVD soon. The new album, Solfa [Quite an interesting word to name an album... the word means the musical scale], will be released on October 20th. The DVD, however, will be released on November 26th. We'll eventually start an info thread on where to buy music. I completely forgot about that! Anyway, news from s::L - Subject: Mikami Chisako official site launched
http://www.mikamichisako.com/
There are entire sections of the site that are still under construction, and the news updates are scant. The discography section does, however, include the cover of Mikami's first single, "Fundamental/Viva la Revolucion". (Either "ride" was retitled or replaced.)
