Avellano yawned widely and padded out of her small den, tail swishing slowly behind her. She had only really been staying there for the day, and guessed that the den had belonged to a maned wolf or a jackal before, going by how small it was. She stretched lazily and flopped onto her side, wanting to lay in the sun for a while before it was gone completely. Her eyes found the horizon, glowing as the sun fell behind it, and then looked up at the clouds floating through the orange and red sky, shifting her weight a little then getting up. "I'd better just go now, I don't want to waste any time." She said quietly, pulling herself up and padding off towards the sunset.

A lazy yawn worked it's way from Athrun's smooth white muzzle as the god floated upside down in the air, his belly facing the clouds and his front legs tucked to his chest while his hind legs simply drug behind him. The heat made him sleepy sometimes and the simple act of flying could instantly turn into a problem if he fell asleep at the proverbial wheel.
Flipping mid-air, he gazed down below and chose a rather large looking rock to land on instead of crashing unconsciously into the ground and waking up with bruises. Folding his abnormally large wings at his sides, he streaked down out of the air and then spread them again just before he hit ground, kicking out his back legs so they touched the boulder first. After his brief adventure he was grinning a little due to adreneline, but for the most part still felt sleepy, so he sat down and stared off into the horizon a bit before flopping down on his side propped on his elbows tiredly. Sometimes he really did regret being made the way he was.

The lioness continued to pad slowly towards the setting sun, feeling it cool off in large chunks of degrees, but still feeling comfortably warm, since she had just woken up. She shook her body to try and fluff up her fur a little, for the extra warmth in case she needed it. As she came to the top of a small hill, she saw below a rather large lion with...wings? Slightly taken aback, she reclined a little, afraid that he might notice her there, but then she spotted the blindfold he had covering his eyes. She wondered why he would have his eyes covered, and how it would be possible for him to fly without proper vision, but that wasn't important to her right then.
Avellano began padding slowly down the hill towards the large winged feline, yawning again, still tired, and flicking her tail every now and then. About half way down, the mostly white lioness stopped and pushed herself low to the ground, common technique often used for hunting, to observe him. She couldn't help but notice that he looked very lonely, but he also looked rather tired. Didn't this other cat sleep during the day? She wondered, stalking a bit closer in hopes of catching his scent on whatever little breeze there may be.

The sound of feet stepping on grass made one of Athrun's large ears p***k up slightly, sending a waft of fluffy mane in front of the Eye on his blindfold and blinding him temporarily. Grumbling angrily the god flapped his wings and sighed a little as the wind from his wings got the fur out of his way. Twisting his head to see the lion that had walked up on him, the god caught wiff of a scent that made his blood turn instantly to frost.
Staring at the upcoming lioness for a long moment he used his strong legs to heave himself to his feet, listening to the music the bangles on his wings and back legs made as he did so. So she was stalking him was she? Or rather she was probably just attempting to see if he was worth her time. A frown spread over his muzzle. She looked so much like her, but who exactly was she?
"And what would you like little one?" He called out in his resonating voice.

Avellano was curious about this big winged lion, very curious indeed. She jumped slightly as he turned to her and ruffled his wings, then lifted himself up. She tried to puch herself against the ground more, but failing to do so, she decided to try something else, and pushed herself up, fluffing up her fur again and growling softly, still a little unnerved. She liked the sound the bangles that he wore made as he moved, and she closed her eyes to listen to them for a moment, before opening them again, thinking maybe it wasn't such a good idea to let her guard down like that, especially around such a stranger as he.
"I was just....going somewhere. Didn't want to bother you, honest." She said quietly, still slightly frightened by him. "If you'd like I can just--" She paused. Now that Avellano was able to see all of this strange male, she began to feel like she knew him from somewhere. "I'm sorry if this offends you for any reason at all, but you seem incredibly familiar, I know I've never seen you before sir, I know I'd remember a giant lion with wings if I had, but....I feel like I know you." She said, trying not to sound offensive in any way, trying to remain careful with what she said. He seemed important, and she didn't wish to upset or annoy him.

A sad look passed over Athrun's face. So it was true, it really was her. Or at the very least a daughter of hers possibly. That meant that if she was who she thought she was then somehow the two of them were related.
Well, not somehow, he knew how... he'd just thought them all for dead the longest time. Watching an entire pride be slaughtered would do that to one.
"So it is you then. I thought I saw her in you." He said in a voice that exuded so much sadness it even hurt himself. Flicking the dark red puff of fur on the end of his tail, Athrun stood and bowed on the rock before the lioness that bore the same blood in herself that he bore in his own veins. Relatives, it was funny how small the savannah was sometimes.

Avellano couldn't help but be confused. She'd though he was familiar, but...this wasn't the reaction she'd expected. Who was he talking about? "I'm sorry, I don't understand, saw who sir?" She asked, politely as she could. She could feel her tail twitching of it's own free will, and she shifted her weight, slightly uncomfortable. Was this....a relative of hers or something? She cocked her head at him, looking at everything about him. His markings, yes, her mother's had look like those, and his bracelets...her mother had worn bracelets...The blindfold. Now it was clear to her, she was definately related to this odd lion. Her mother had worn a piece of cloth similar to that one around her neck...."Excuse me sir, but are you...related to me?" Avellano inquired. Clearly confused, the white and brown lioness reclined to her haunches and continued to look at him.

"You aren't old enough to know, but yes, yes you are. Though I don't exactly know how far down that bloodline you are, the two of us are related." Athrun explained delicatly, stitting once again and using his large wings to quickly hide the heiroglyphics that warranted talk of his curse and how old he was and why-oh-why he looked like he was younger than she was. "What was your mother's name? That might help clear up exactly how we're related." He gave her a rather fatherly smile and nodded his head contently to his young descendent.
Unsure of how to explain why it was that he'd never been around, the god chose to completely avoid that part of the conversation as long as he possibly could, not really wanting to explain his curse yet one more time as it scathed him to tell it even once.

The lioness layed herself down, still looking up at the other cat. She flicked her tail again and shifted her weight, laying one paw over the other and pushing both of her hind legs out to one side. She was confused still, so...he knows, and I don't? She thought to herself, swivelling her ears and then closing her eyes again, looking away from him for a moment and nibbling at an itchy spot on her flank. "My mother's name was Annipe." She said quietly, wondering what his reaction would be to hearing her name.
Her own reaction was one of sadness. Her mother had been murdered by another when she was only a young lioness, too young to hunt and fend for herself. She could feel her throat swelling, about to cry. She hadn't thought about her mother in a long time, and thinking about her now, while she had another relative right in front of her was hard for Avellano. She looked away again, feeling a single tear roll down her muzzle, and tried her hardest to choke it all back, to hold it inside, like she'd done for years.
