The white lioness rolled onto her side, content with staring at the clouds for now. She laughed a little as the blades of soft grass tickled her belly when she rolled, stretching her limbs as far away from her body as she could. It felt like sucha lazy day, watching clouds, laying in the grass under a tree. Relaxing....She thought, yawning widely suddenly feeling as though it would be a good time for a nap. "But I should really look around to see if I can find a native to these lands..." She said quietly to herself, trailing off as she pulled herself up, yawning again. She stretched herself out again, making sure that she wouldn't be sore from laying on her back staring at the sky for so long. Flicking her ears carefully, she listened for the sounds of other creatures, hopefully lions, then headed off in the direction of a small pile of rocks. Maybe Avellano would be able to see someone from up there.

Not far away, dark paws moved quietly through the grass of the savanah, the nose of the lion they belonged to pointed to the ground as if he was sniffing out something, or maybe he was just exploring. By now he had spent enough time in the pridelands to be accustomed to it's terrian and inhabitants, though he was still not used to the vast differences between territories. Perhaps that was something he would always marvel at. The light lion moved casually, his tail flicking behind him, pale eyes more focused on the ground than on where he was actually going. What had interested him so only he knew. Maybe he had seen a mouse, or picked up an interesting scent. Or maybe he just was exploring.

Avellano continued on towards the pile of rocks, not really knowing where she was going, but hoping that she'd run into someone soon. She yawned again and took a long stride, stretching her back out and then sighing happily, hearing things crack and feeling pressure relieved from her back. She swished her tail again, not wanting flies biting at her flanks, the redsish brown tip of it brushing over her back momentarily before she let it droop back to it's regular place of rest. The white lioness reached the pile of rocks, and she climbed up it slowly, wondering just what she'd be able to see from up there, and looking down as she reached the edge, she noticed another lion, a pale colored male only a few feet away with his nose to the ground. She decided to keep quiet and see if he would even notice her. She was still slightly unsure of this new place, and she didn't want to anger another or intrude at all.

Dark ears flicked, swivling toward the sound of movement, movement which he would have written off as a small creature moving through the grass, except that it sounded rocky. Like the sound of small peebles distrubed by paws steps. Lifting his head, pale blue eyes settled on the form of the lioness. Instinctively he took a step backward, tail flicking uncertainly, followed by an inquisitive step forward. Though he had spent some time here in the pridelands and encountered many other lions, he still couldn't help feeling a slight twinge of nervousness everytime he encountered an adult, he had never seen one since the day his mother had died until he had come here. Fortunately for the young lion, it was a feeling that faded quickly. "Ummm...hi."

The lioness pushed herself against the rocks, feeling bad for startling him. Hiding mostly behind a large boulder, she peeked her nose over it and grinned at him. "I'm sorry if I startled you sir." She said quietly, resting her chin on the boulder and looking at him curiously. "I was just looking for someone to talk to, I'm new to these lands." She laughed, swishing her tail across her flanks again. She perked her ears forwards and grinned at him again, hoping that she wasn't making him even more nervous by grinning at him. Avellano stopped smiling at him, thinking maybe she was being overly friendly, honestly not wanting to scare him off. That would be awful, to have scared off the first lion she'd met in the pridelands. She couldn't help but chuckle lightly at herself, but she then remembered that she was being normal. Straightening her face, she swivelled her ears and continued to peer over the rock at him.

"I um...no, you didn't startle me." The adolescent puffed out his chest, trying to look very big and brave. It was only after the fact that he realized just how silly he must have looked, and he couldn't help but wonder why he had done that in the first place. Oi, he was acting like a cub. Dismissing the thought with a shake of his head, the young lion sat back on his haunces, tail flicking about his hind legs, whatever scent he had been following before long since fogotten. He tilted his head, ears flicking, curiously watching the odd reactions and mood swings of the lioness. Perhaps she was just as nervous as he was. "Really? Have you met the king yet? I'm still new here too."

Avellano let out a small giggle, deciding it would be okay to resume grinning at the pale colored lion. "I haven't, no. I was actually looking for someone who might show me where to find them, but I'd rather eat right now..." She trailed off, sighing lightly and then giggling again. Brushing her tail tuft across her back, she sat up a little, not hiding behind the rock anymore, but pushing up onto her hind legs for a moment and resting her two front paws on the rock, looking over it at him. "It's been a few days since I was able to catch anything." She admitted, slightly embarassed by the fact. As much as any lion would hate to admit it, she knew it was true, she stunk at hunting. She gave another sigh, not really wanting to think about how bad she was at hunting, and racked her brain for something else to think about. Unable to come up with anything, she copied his motion and tilted her head at him, still grinning in a friendly manner.

The young lion blinked, looking a bit dumbfounded at the lioness' actions. Were he familar with a certain blue mistweaver born lion, he might have thought she'd been hanging out with him. "Well, sometimes he's over there." Raising one paw, he turned toward the large rock formation in the distance, indicating toward pride rock with his paw. "I think he wanders around a lot too, but he said the queen is there." His tail flicked lightly, his ears flicking to send an annoying inscect flying away. It hadn't been that long since he had eaten, so the thought of food didn't stir much in him at the moment. Here prey was plentiful and there were many lions that hunted. And for those that didn't, there was usually enough left over for them to eat, or others that were willing to share. "There's plenty of food here." He added a nod, and a faint smile.

Using her front legs to pull the rest of her body up onto the boulder, Avellano leapt down from it, creating a dull thud in the grass as she landed beside the lion carefully, tail swishing behind her. "Maybe you'd be interested in helping me find food?" She asked quietly, trying to sound not as pitiful as she felt. She didn't want to openly admit that she couldn't hunt, that would be embarassing, especially since she had only just met this other. "You er...must know your way around here no?" She inquired, hoping to convince him to help her out.
She brushed her tail across her back again and then let it fall back, flicking her own ears and then reclining to her haunches bside him, head turned so she culd look at him. Avellano didn't want to feel like she was invading his personal space or anything, but it was a horribly bad habit of hers to speak incredibly quietly, and being close to him was the only way that he'd be able to hear her requests.

Pale eyes blinked at the lioness, the adolescent's tail twitching with a different nervousness he had never felt before, one he didn't understand. Though his body had grown, Juhudi still thought very much like a child, having lacked a parent to teach him. To him, the lioness seemed very forward, and he wasn't sure he liked it. "Um..but I don't even know your name." It wasn't that he was unwilling to help her, far from it actually. Juhudi had always been kind and caring, always willing to help or befriend those in need. He was just very confused and unsure of what to think. So much of what he had once known to be true had changed, and the young lion was still reeling from it all.

Avellano let her ears droop a little, sighing lightly. She had forgotten her manners, again. Giving another short sigh, she flashed him a small grin. "I'm sorry." She started, flicking her tail. "My name is Avellano. I just got here earlier this morning...." She finished quietly, noticing that the other lion looked rather uncomfortable.
"I'm really sorry if I'm making you feel uncomfortable..." She trailed off, feeling bad for doing so, "Truth is, I couldn't even catch a mouse if I tried." She admitted, feeling her cheeks grow hot. It was embarassing to admit, but maybe if she explained why she'd been so blunt with him a moment ago, he might relax a little. "As much as I hate to admit it..." The white lioness mumbled, looking away and shifting her weight slightly, pawing at the grass a little.

Taking a deep breath, Juhudhi took a few steps back from the lioness. A bit more space between them, the adolescent exhaled and relaxed. That was better, but why had he suddenly felt so nervous in the first place? He shrugged and wrote it off as his normal initial nervousness around adults and that it must have been stronger because he'd never been quite that close. "Well, I guess I could, but it has to be something small so it's not wasted." For one so young, Juhudi was in fact quite an accomplished hunter. Perhaps that was common amoung orphans who had to hunt for themselves to survive from such an early age. "My name is Juhudi."

"That sounds like a good idea. I don't want to waste anything." Avellano nodded, swishing her tail happily, noticing he looked more comfortable in his new spot. "It's a pleasure Juhudi, and I'm sorry that I upset you." She said, giving him a small nod and flicking her ears.
The white lioness was excited about hunting, this male seemed quite competent, if not more than, and she felt sure that either he would be able to catch something for them, or they would be able to do it together. Although she highly doubted the second one, due to her extreme lack of skill in the hunting department.

"Upset me? Oh, don't worry about it, I'm just not used to be around adults yet." He dismissed any other thoughts on the matter with a flick of his tail and occupied his mind with other thoughts, like what kind of food to get. Something small, zebra and wildebeast were all too big, and he didn't really want to take on one of those alone. He was quite good at hunting antelope and gazelle, but they were still too big unless he caught a foal, and there were none nearby. Which meant he'd have to drag the lioness around and probably scare them off in the process. Then what-- Juhudi's ears flicked, his nose suddenly twitching as a scent hit his nose. A rabbit nearby, perfect. It was small and right here, easy enough to catch and plenty for one lioness to eat. "Stay here." The adolescent's eyes narrowed, falling into a hunter's crouch, his tail flicking behind him. He stalked through the grass, away from the lioness, toward the scent of the rabbit and where he knew it was resting in the grass, oblivious of the hunter that was closing in.

"If you say so then." She said happily, flicking her tail and laying herself down slowly, resting her chin upon her paws. "Okay..." She trailed off, staring amusedly as he stalked off aftera rabbit that was sitting in the grass nearby. Was a rabbit really enough for both of them to eat? She wondered, swivelling her ears and moving her paws around a little, waiting to see how he went about catching the small furry creature.
She watched his tail as it twitched, noting the posture he used and the technique that went into his movements and such. It almost seemed pathetic to her, a grown lioness watching a younger lion hunt and trying to learn from it, but Avellano was used to just picking off old kills she came across on her travels, not really needing a lot of food all the time, though when she found others who could hunt, she'd try her hardest to persuade them to hunt with or for her.
