There are so many different ways to play as Kasumi, but I'm not really sure which way to go on Live, and with DOA4 out, I may have to change my strategy slightly, but I'm not sure how I should do it.

Usually I do lots of stall combos, namely because Kasumi has a few slower moves (namely her dash sweep), and since the opponent usually expects you to do a bunch of quick combos starting out, the dash throws them off, and it gives me time to juggle them in a long combo before they realize what's happening.

But with DOA4, I fear that I won't be able to do that (though it's worked against my sister thus far when I've played DOA4 on my friend's Xbox...not against the computer though...I have to resort to quick backflips, flipping over the opponent, teleport counters, and combos leading to a throw)...

I'm more of a kicking person, myself, though I'd think that using even any punching combo would make you more susceptible to counters (everytime I play against SSs I tend to get countered whenever I use punches). Isn't it better to use high moves and low moves with her rather than mid?

I agree. While Kasumi is the best female character is to play as, I think you definately need to mix it up a bit. The more you know about the way the other characters move then the more you're going to be able to read their attacks.

Kasumi is good with speed, so if you're using her for DOA4, idk. I'm decent with her in DOA2U and DOA3. I heard that there's new combos, countering is harder, and Kasumi is more powerful in DOA4.

To throw my opponent off, I usually execute a throw move, then back away. If they get near me, then I start pumnmeling with Punches + Kicks, high, mid, and low. If you use Mid attacks way too much, it's easy to predict. So change your combos every now and then. Countering would help too, but if you're bad at that, guard. If your opponent falls into your trap, and use Mid-attacks on yuo when you're guarding, after the final blow of their combo, start beating the hell out them. Works for me.

well Kasumi is good 4 stealth ninja and combos and such more thatn anything, if u want speed 4 a girl use ayane, power would be Hitomi, and helena is sorta more countering and agaility. Everyone else is good but those r ur major preferences. idk bur w/kasumi her flips r wat saves me plus the whole diaspearring w/the flowers helps me confuse my opponets alot!!! xd
but i thik someone said it already i'm pretty sure w/kasumi u like have 2 do a certain amount of punches or something for the counters or womething idk lol
but i use her kicks and punches but mostly her throws mostly it's funny 2 watch lol

but w/the whol high or low attack wat i do is when they get me dwon i low kick then rite when i get up so they don't expevt it or even use the low attack when they try 2 hit u up top u no?!?
it helps 2 vary up where u hit them for strategic purposes

an easier way to handle her is just to practice with her and play as her alot, I practically know all her moves by heart and she is great in speed
