 Uhuru'mpigo headed back through the jungle after meeting that odd red leopard. However, he didn't really remember much of the conversation anymore, deciding instead to just forget about it entirely. He continued on for who Gods how long hoping to find someone else more interesting to bide his time with.((I kinda suck at starting ^^; ))

It was getting late, but Matima wasn't ready to return home. Besides, whether the pup could see him or not, he knew Mikondo was close by. The blue jackal wouldn't let anything happen to his ward. Mati grinned, tongue lolling, and trotted clumsily across the leaf-strewn ground. StompstompstompSPLAT.
The pup tilted his head, peering at the mud puddle in front of him with a bemused expression. He tried again.
StompstompSPLAT.
Mud now coated the grey pup from paws to shoulders, but he couldn't be happier. Instinctively he knew Miremba would have a fit when she saw him next, and he took joy in his (for now) secret rebellion.
Mikondo crouched in the bushes beyond the pup, eyes half closed as he contemplated the evening. A smile ghosted across his face as he watched the small pup splash through the mud, partly inspired by the flopping ears and tongue, partly by the thought of Miremba's indignant reaction.
Mikondo grinned and settled down, resting his head on his front paws.
He certainly saw no reason to interfere with Mati's play.

While he wondered and pondered some noise struck his ears. Something nearby was stomping around. Uhuru was delighted at the could be company, but also wondered what witless creature would stomp around the forest this late in the day. Deciding any company was better than none he went in the direction of the noise only to see a puppy splattered with mud and being just so happy it was almost sickening, in his mind of course.

Despite his preoccupation, Mati caught a strange scent on the air; he paused, instantly alert for danger. Mud squelched against his legs and he shifted, grinning again. He stomped a foot, delighted with the resulting splash. A breeze filtered past.
Sniffsniff. Waaait... this time the scent was closer. Mati felt his hackles rising and spun around, just in time to spot a... something... approaching him. With a disqusted look on its face.
"Whadda you want?" Mati pipped, ears pricked and tail up.
Mikondo froze as the scent reached him, but when the cub stepped into view he relaxed. It could get dangerous, but he was fairly certain he could protect his ward.

Uhuru looked at the thing standing in the mud with curiousity. "At least the last thing I saw looked somewhat like me," he tought. "I don't even know what this thing is!" He even dared to think it was some sort of overgrown rat.
He thought about it somemore until the thing talked. "What do I want? Truthfully? Well, world domination would be nice, but the real question is this. What are you?" Uhuru circled the mud careful not to step in it so as to not get his coat dirty. He stopped in a spot so he could look at the rat head on and sat looking at it with his head tilted a little.

"World domination?" ... well, he knew what the world was; the mud beneath his feet, the sky, the leaves... and he also knew what domination was. It was what his mother had, over the rest of his packmates. This ... thing didn't seem dominate at all, and since he was one the Mitima pack lands...
"My momma is the leader here, so you'd better scram." His shrill voice was only deepened by a small growl. "I'mma..." He paused for a moment. What was he? "I'mma wolf!" His mother had mentioned those. Maybe that's what they were. "I have sharp teeth!" He bared his baby canines in a proud grimace.
Mikondo couldn't keep the grin off his face as he watched the exchange. World domination? Wolf? Who educated kids these days? Eh. It certainly wasn't his job.

"Yes, exactly that." Although he was rather petite, he had a large goal and the mindset for it, even if it was likely to never happen.
"Calm down...err....thing! I mean no harm to your pack at this point in time." Uhuru was taken aback by the growl. Having never been growled at before it was slightly unnerving even when coming from this small creature. "A wolf you say?" He looked him up and down again. "With sharp teeth of course." With uncertainty he asked, "Are your positive you're not an overgrown rat or something?"

Mati stopped growling, but still kept his teeth bared. Just in case. And it didn't hurt to make sure this... thing knew how sharp his teeth were. "You're not here for our land?" He eyed the purple creature. "What are you?"
Mati's hackles rose as the other thing questioned him. "A rat? No way! They taste good but they're smelly and small an' don't bite too hard. I bite hard." Mati grinned. "Real hard."
He glanced around, spotting a flash of blue and white in the green of the bush. Good. Mikondo was there.

Uhuru resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Of course not. You need more than just one creature to take over a entire pack's land." He gave sly grin and said proudly, "I am a leopard."
He sneered a little. "Hmm, well I guess I'll believe you. It would be quite distubing to see true overgrown rats, and I must say you're not quite ugly enough to be one. I hope I wont have to find out exactly how hard you bite." In Uhuru's mind, a little ego boosting for the little thing might help this situation a smidge.

"A leopard?" The small pup tilted his grey head, eyes wide in wonder. "Like... a lion?" He wasn't quite sure what a lion was either, but his mother always mentioned the two together, so... Mati sat down in the mud and regarded the purple cat.
"I am certainly not an "overgrown rat". Just wait 'till I get bigger!" Already his paws were huge; he tripped all over himself when he tried to run with his siblings. It was embarassing...
He can't look weak to this... leopard or his family might be attacked. Mati snorted and pricked his ears. "So you have friends to help you, erm, get world domination?" He slapped his paws in the mud, enjoying the cool slimy feel.

Uhuru looked at the "wolf" curiously. "What's a lion?" He had no idea what a lion was. "Do I look like a lion?" he asked himself.
He sneered at Mati. "Yes, you'll certainly be a sight for sore eyes when you get bigger." He glanced down at Mati and noticed his paws were already quite goofy looking.
"Well," he dragged out, "not exactly." Uhuru paused before continuing with, "That's why I'm wandering throught the jungle. I'm looking for anyone who can help me." He looked down his nose at the splattering mud, scooching back a little to make sure no mud tainted his white pelt.

Mati was slightly taken aback. "Well... a lion is... something that looks like you?" It wasn't quite a question, but it certainly wasn't presented like a fact. The grey pup grinned as he watched the leopard back away from his mud puddle. And he said he wanted to take over the world? Ha.
With a huge lunge Mati launched himself into the deepest part of the puddle. He squinched his eyes shut as mud cascaded over the path around him. He'd teach this little thing that mud was something to be enjoyed, not... glared at.
"See? It's fun!"
Mikondo grimaced and slid back in the bushes as mud splattered across his front paws and muzzle. Yuck. He glared at the puppy sitting happily in the center of the pool. Stupid job.

"Hmmm, maybe I'll met one of these lions you speak of one day," he said as Mati launched himself into the mud, spraying it in Uhuru's direction. He looked at Mati with shock and horror in his eyes. "How dare he do that to me!" he screamed in his head. Staring at the splotches and flecks of mud on his body, he cried, "Why did you do that?! I'm all dirty now! Do you know how had it is to clean a white pelt?" Uhuru was furious. That's when he decided these overgrown rats will be the first to go.

Mati's laugh came to an abrupt stop as he realized the expression on the leopards face wasn't happiness. He promptly sat in the mud, splashing more. "What's wrong? Can't you just jump in the stream?" He questioned, looking himself over. "I have white, and it's always clean."
Mati pouted. "My momma always cleans my coat, she keeps it nice." He regarded the leopard with a mix of pity and amazement. "You have a family, right? A pack?"

"Ugh, it's different for me you twit!" Uhuru had one reason to not just jump in the stream, he wasn't exactly sure where one was all the time. He looked at Mati dissaprovingly. "No I do not. Families are a weakness when it comes to dominating something."
